I've been coming here since I was a baby and about 2-3 times a year. It's jn an amazing location really with Sabrina and south lake about 13 miles away. The fishing on the campsite is always good enough but, traveling to larger creeks in the area is always a good idea. Love the camp but Very disappointed. Recently up there and there was a scheduled power outage to replace poles which took out the whole area. No notice was provided prior to arriving and it was clear that this was a big job planned well in advance...helicopter used for lifts and a dozen trucks and 2 cranes. Power was out from 7 am to 8 pm. Had we had notice we would have brought a generator but with full hookups we don't do that. At check in nothing was said. The day the power was turned off, We realized all the camp water was supplied by pumps and was not tied to the back up generator, so we're were out of water and again with full hookups we expected water. No water means no dishes, no toilets, no washing hands, etc. Had they said on arrival water and electric was planned to be out, please fill your holding tanks the day before, this all could have been avoided. Upon communicating with the owners it was said "it was posed on the outside door"...so I looked at it, and it only said power would be out. Nothing about the water and there are a lot of things on the windows and doors. I would have expedited that to be shared upon check in and the runs down of the park setup and rules. Great camp and has been for 45 years or more. Poor planning and communication from the owners and staff. read more

We stayed for our annual family trip for a week leaving 10/10. Wanted to note how clean the campsite is and how wonderful Keith has been over the last 3 years we've come up! He and Sierra have been so warm, welcoming and accommodating we're sad to not be renewing our reservation. We made our first trip here last summer August 2025, with my daughter & 4 grandkids. Upon arriving at the park, we missed the first entrance, and ended up on a residential road next to the park, the park host noticed right away and quickly met us at the road and guided us in. He was friendly and helpful with tips for getting our 30' trailer into our spot. Our campsite was beautiful and spacious on the bank of the river with plenty of space for everything we brought for 7 of us to enjoy our stay. The river runs right through the campground and we caught 6 trout and had a delicious fish fry one night. The campground has nicely stocked store with RV supplies, fishing supplies, grocery and snack items, and some cute souvenirs. I think we visited the store every day for one thing or another. This is a young family owned campground and mom or dad can be found working the store with baby max in hand. My 14 year old granddaughter was more than happy to hold max and keep him occupied for a few minutes each time she found her way to the store. If she wasn't playing with Max, she was loving on Nelson, the camp mascot/family dog. That sweet dog is living his best life manning the front porch and greeting guests. If you're looking for beautiful scenery amazing weather, and the boutique feel of a family campground, this is your place. read more

What an awesome 4 days at creekside, we fished the lakes and Creeks and came back to camp every-time with a wonderful welcome everytime! Sierra, Steve and Keith were so accommodating and attentive to our needs. We rented the hideout and were not looking for 5 stars! We were comfortable beyond expectations. Great place to base a fishing trip in the high country above Bishop, CA. Great scenery in the area, especially in fall. We chose this park based on availability and the 5 star reviews. For the average RV'er, not so good. The facilities are all functional. The one staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The actual Office was closed the 2 days we were there. WiFi is pretty good (able to stream a 2 hr movie). If you are travel trailer owner (I am not), you'll need a good "skill set" to get into some of the spaces. I reserved online a spot for my 28 foot RV, I paid ahead for three days. When we arrived we were given a spot that was impossible to fit our Airstream. They had no other options for us and they refused to reimburse our payment. I feel like they use false advertising on the size of their park. The pictures make it look spacious, but it is not conducive to rigs over 20 feet. I feel like they stole my money and their attitude was "sucks for you, you needed to cancel 30 days prior." read more

To say I enjoyed my stay here would be an under statement. It was so much more than I expected. First of all, it is at a higher elevation than Bishop, so the weather is so much more mild. It was a pleasant surprise to have mid 70 degree days and cool nights and mornings. The staff were always smiling and pleasant and the creek and pond on site was quite enjoyable! Being able to fish just a short walk away was a huge plus and I love LOVE the sound of running water from the creek. Bathrooms and showers available-$1 for 5 minutes of hot water. Convenience store on site. Plenty of sites with trees for shade. Would love to come back for another visit. read more

Started out with rude lady outside the store then. Then hooked up and keep piping the breaker. Talked to owner he looked at it and never checked back with us. Then rude people parked next to us with there tv so loud they had to yell back-and-forth to each other there tv was so loud we could not hear ares. Owner did nothing about it. Then there Wi-Fi would not work unless you walked down to the store. I will never go back there. read more

There's a decent sized group of us that come up every year for a week over Memorial Day, and it's seriously one of my favorite places we camp at! What a fun weekend. Minus not catching any fish. Camp ground seemed laid back. No one was coming around saying move your car... don't do this... even when we stayed up passed 10pm Clean. (Although I never went into the bathrooms.... ) but the grounds were clean. Plenty of trash cans. The owner was very nice and drew a map to help me get to the cool water fall. The drive is a little out of the ways for my liking. And the WiFi is very spotty but I knew that going up there that I wasn't going to be able to get any work done. read more

What an amazing trip!! It is a great location to relax with family. Great for young kids and adults. We stayed in our rooftop tent and the campsite was right next to the creek. Amazing views and close enough to civilization not to feel uneasy with children. There is a restaurant right across the street which was great for one of the cold nights we decided not to cook. Everyone who worked there were so nice and kind. We went into the store daily to pick out a new toy. The store was also great for small items we forgot to bring with us. This place is always amazing. Last year for the spring opener we were greeted with homemade trout cookies from the lovely owners of this hidden gem. The cookies tasted like cookies. They did not taste like trout. They were in the shape of trout. This is one of my favorite places to stay at when it's time to go rip lip. sometimes the day-to-day grind gets to you and you need to go out on the lamb. While you're on the lamb hiding from the law, you might as well get some trout fishing done. If you hit the right time of year, legend has it you might run into Brockman Sr. If you approach the legendary Brockman at the right time of day, he will bestow you with great wisdom. Also, the maintenance man is another legend. He will keep the coin, shower, hot, and the trailers watertight. Be sure to tip him well and occasionally please feed him. He's the man. Finally I can't say enough about the owners. They are amazing. They work very hard to keep the place maintained. I see them buzzing around all day doing all sorts of things. They're always attentive to our needs and very pleasant to deal with visiting them is like visiting family that you only get to see twice a year, but you're always greeted with a warm smile. They are absolutely carrying on of what this place is about. They keep it organic. I love it. read more

Great place, little general store has everything you need. Beautiful location and they now offer RV Rentals through Bishop RV where they will drop off brand new coaches for you to use while you're there. Call the main number and they can give you the info. The creek and pond at the park really make it amazing and there is a lodge across the way with a decent little restaurant and bar. Also cool that the tent sites have water, power and lock boxes. I am having a hard time picking how many stars to give. We've stayed here 4 times. I love Love LOVE this spot for many reasons: the store, the family, the stocked pond, the ambiance, the shade in some of the spots, spots ON the creek...If you bring your own trailer or are tent camping, consider it a perfect 10!! HOWEVER, if you plan on renting a trailer, expect to stay in something from the 80's. Expect wood paneling - not luxury like a new trailer. But if you're like us, and you only use the trailer to sleep in, because you're too busy hiking, biking and FISHING then this place is great! read more

My family has been camping here for years and we love coming here every year! There are clean restrooms and showers for only $1 with plenty of hot water. There is a keypad on the door which has been upgraded from a key, helps keep the restroom clean. We love camping by the creek and enjoying the peacefulness of the nature. We spend many hours fishing at the multiple holes in and around the campground along with the many hikes and nature views within a short driving distance, including South Lake, Lake Sabrina and North Lake. We have spent many a night around the fire with new and old friends looking at the stars enjoying the quiet of nature. The staff here is always courteous and helpful, they will even give you some tips if you have never fished before! I spent nearly every Summer camping at Creekside as a child, and now 30 years later I'm able to bring my wife and extended family to share in this amazing experience. Ron always treated us like family, and now that his son Nick has taken over it's nice to see nothing has changed. The Park is very well maintained, clean restrooms, hot showers, and a small store with anything you need. There is everything from full hook-up RV sites, tent camping and even permanent trailers available for rent. No cell service (which I prefer) but WiFi is provided for the campers. The pond is always stocked and the stream runs right through camp. You're not far from South Lake, Lake Sabrina and multiple hiking trail heads. If you need to head to town, Bishop is just a short 20min drive down the hill. Thank you Nick for allowing us to continue our family tradition. read more

I have camped here in a big rv and a tent. I have always enjoyed it. Bathrooms are clean and for four quarters I can get a nice hot four minute shower. Bathrooms are for paying campers only and you need a key to access them so don't expect to arrive late at night and have access to them as the office will be closed. If you camp in a tent you can camp along the stream and still have an electrical hook up for an air mattress, coffee pot, griddle, electric blanket because it gets cold at night even if it's hot down in the town of Bishop. Three tent sites on the other side of stream do not have any electricity hookups. Pit fire at each campsite. Tent campsites have special containers to keep food locked up at night as to not attract bears. A large ice chest wouldn't fit in there but those styrofoam style ones would fit. Everything is always well kept and clean here. read more

Hands down Creekside RV Park is nothing short of awesome. All of the staff are so warm, friendly and helpful. They make you feel as if you've known them foreve and that you're family. They go out of their way for whatever your needs may be. We called last minute and they did whatever they could to get us into an already "full" park. The bathrooms are clean and the fishing around the park for the "littles" is perfect. And, just up the road is great fishing too ! We have 3 large breed dogs and they were very welcome ! The atmosphere is serene, and peaceful and the spots are not too tight where your on top of your neighbor. My husband and I will be making Creekside our new "getaway" spot for sure ! read more

We just spent 6 days at Creekside and had a marvelous time. The pond looks little cute we caught lots of fish in it, as well as fishing in the creek. Had a great Time with my family during the weekend, we enjoyed the pond and the creek running thrue the campsite, we had a minor issue with the RV but it was inmeaditely taken Care of, the staff and Mangement are extremely helpfull and friendly, not sure about other reviews im a firm believer in treating people how you want to be treated, respect goes a long way. This RV park is located in the mountain around 8000 feet elevation, the area is beautiful situated along Bishop Creek in South Lake Road, 4 miles from Sabrina, and 15 minutes to South Lake, if you like to hike this is a perfect place to stay, clean small bathroom, $1 for 5 minutes shower, prepare quarters. Unpaved grounds but pretty level, Wifi is strong. 30 minutes away from downtown of Bishop. We stayed for 7 days. The weekend is crowded, some group of men gets drunk and used the womens restroom, so I have to get out and not taking a shower that time. read more

After careful consideration: My extended family and I have been camping at Creekside RV since the 1990s and as of 2010, we would have our Annual Father and Son camping trip at this venue consistently occupying three of their four available camp/tent sites every year for the past ten years. It is simply our way to forget the hustle and bustle we encounter in our everyday lives. We really enjoy the campsites near the creek and the beauty Bishop Creek offers, not to mention the great trout fishing nearby. Ron and Donna have always been very gracious and accommodating during our stay and we have the utmost respect for how they have always handled running their business. They are very good people! However, last year we experienced the new management under NICK. Our first encounter with NICK: He enters our campsite to talk to us about music that we were playing that perhaps was a bit loud. Instead of asking us nicely, he was very confrontational, hostile, and condescending towards us! Not wanting any trouble, we immediately lowered the music at Nicks request. We were behaving as we have in the past which was relaxing while getting away from the city and enjoying the natural beauty the area offers. We're not thugs nor troublemakers. We are a group of college graduates, professionals, and business owners enjoying our bonding time with our sons, nephews, brothers and close friends. Even though we have never behaved out of the ordinary (never any complaints from other campers and never any previous warnings from the previous owner/manager), we felt like he had it out for us. However, the very next morning, I apologized to NICK if we were disrespectful in any way! All was forgotten and we moved on. No harm, no foul. During this year's camping trip, we have been truly enlightened as to how very petty and "disingenuous" NICK really is. Not only did he "F" bombed two 15 year old boys who were innocently sitting at his store getting Wi-Fi coverage in the evening, but he has repeatedly harassed everyone at our camp, threatened us with expulsion and a call to the Sherriff Dept. for doing absolutely nothing wrong and keeping within the park rules. A course in customer relations would be helpful! In all my years of traveling, I have never experienced this type of hostility. If you didn't want us to return, why did you accept our 5 day/4 camp site reservation? Apparently at the time of our booking, our money wasn't an issue. We will never patronize Creekside RV again. We may not be a large part of your business, but I can rest assure you, that we have promoted and praised it in the past due to the professionalism of the previous owner/manager. If you continue to treat your customers in this fashion, it's only a matter of time that you will feel the result of your style of management and hospitality. As we were departing for home, I couldn't help but notice that the campground was at half capacity--which is what I've never seen before in all the years we've been coming here. We've been visiting Creekside every year for a long time,ever since we bought our first camper and we are now on our third. We love this place so much we spent two weeks here in June and are now trying to clear our work schedules to do another week in October. But I couldn't help but notice a trend here on YELP,it seems anyone who gives this place a bad review are the ones who can't abide by a few simple rules and don't really have any consideration for other campers. It isn't hard to see how Nick has been working his butt off during the season and during the off season to make vast improvements to the park. If you need flexible planning be warned of their refund policy! We were trying to find something to stay at in our 19' travel trailer and we were coming into Bishop in the evening time. Service wasn't great so I was solely relying on phone calls, and we found this spot. The refund policy wasn't stated over the phone. So we booked for a few nights and we arrived to a very cramped camp ground with poor water hook ups and a poor restrooms. When we found better accommodations in town I went to the office and that's when he showed me his flyer and said they had a strict no refund policy and that it was all over their website, which I didn't use. He also stated that it was because we booked the spot and that they couldn't sell it now, but the campground had MANY spots available. Feel very bamboozled by a person who was not even trying to be empathetic. The price point isn't worth the the quality of the stay, you are so close to people you can hear everything. I could see why large families might enjoy this location but for the 2 of us and our dog it was not a site we enjoyed and we lost alot of money to this place, which also charges $5 a day for dogs with no real place for a dog to go... buyers beware. read more

Our extended family has been coming to Creekside RV Park for almost 30 years. After enjoying the many years that Ron and Donna owned/managed the campground, we have been very impressed with how their son, Nick, has been taking care of things since he took over. He has made numerous improvements that make a really good camping experience GREAT! The WiFi and cell phone service make it easy to get away from it all, even when life requires you to still be accessible. The improvements at Ron's Pond are amazing - perfect for just taking a walk to enjoy the scenery. We love the flexible accommodations that enable our entire family to come up - rental trailers already in place, full hookup sites that are level and roomy, outside rental trailers that are brought in and even tent camping. Maintenance Supervisor Keith is always around to answer questions and help with anything we need and keeps the entire campground spotless. The camp store is well stocked and they allow us to run a tab so our kids and grandkids can wander in and enjoy buying treats on their own. (And they keep plenty of ice cold Mammoth Brewery selections on hand!) There are plenty of places to fish, relax, play horseshoes, take a stroll, hang out together, and each site is provided with fire pits and picnic tables. The new Rock Garden is really beautiful! Creekside is located close to everything - fishing, hiking and horseback riding are all within 5 or 10 minutes. Plenty of places to fish within the RV park but lots of great options nearby (Sabrina, North Lake, South Lake, Intake #2, Weir Pond, Parchers, Cardinal Village, and much more). Creekside RV Park is truly a special place. Nick treats our family like his own family and we look forward to our annual visits. Nick is always available to offer helpful suggestions on where to fish, how to smoke your catch, cool places to visit, anything to make your stay even better. We now have 4 generations that enjoy coming each year, making memories that last a lifetime. read more

We stayed at #8 which is one of their rental trailers and I won't stay in that trailer again. It was filthy beyond belief! The carpets around the bed and behind the toilet looked like they've never been cleaned and haven't been vacuumed in a very long time. All around the toilet was disgusting and we found several pubic hairs and pubic hair on the lip of the tub. The tub basin was very soft under our feet and it felt like it could crack at anytime because it already had at some point because there was a cheap patch from a previous crack. There was caked on dirt around many of the light switches and the blinds behind the kitchen sink had caked on dust. When we used the sink a faint foul odor came up from the drain which tells me the grey water tank hasn't been treated in a very long time. The trailer is old (1990's from the looks of it) but if it were professionally cleaned and new blinds put it then it could be a great way to stay in the high sierras. If we ever stay here again it will be in one of their tent sites. Because of how filthy the rental trailer was I'm not going to risk trying their other rentals. As for the fishing, the creek is overran with vegetation which will snag your line and the pond has way to much moss and weeds growing in the bottom of it. This place needs a lot of renovation. It seems like the owner is just milking what they can out of the place. read more
