We rented a cabin billed as accommodation for 4 people. There is one real bed but the other is a pull out couch/bed that is better described as a device designed to prevent sleep! This was my 3rd time here. The check in staff is very helpful. Found out the Hot Tub is down and won't be working for a long time. That sucked! Went to plug in my Nema 1450 Shore power cord and the pedal outlet was melted. Let the check in lady girl know and quickly two maintenance guys came out for a look see. I told them exactly what needed to be replaced and the part name. The younger one said he will call an electrician to come take a look. I said, tell him to bring a Nema 1450 outlet and replace it, as it's nothing to look at but just replace it already. Now mind you we are already set up and can't plug in safely. They "called the owner" and said the electrician can come tomorrow and that's just not gonna work for me. I asked where is the closest hardware store and again the younger one said "it's probably closed" he's not helpful and he's a minimum effort kinda guy. I called ace hardware and they are open for another 1-2 hrs. Had the counter make sure the part is in and had it ready for pick up. The older one tried to put it in, not having any experience with this type of electrical work. I ended doing it for him as I'm a 30+ year electrician. I may have saved his life - . If you are needing quick overnight this will do in a pinch. All spaces are dirt so it's super messy. Water hook up spout was leaking. We checked in 30 min before office closed. Maria at front desk is rude. I don't know if she's an owner but her customer service is sucky. We started hooking up and power would not come on. After trying everything we realized they turn on meter from office. They had forgotten to turn it on. Called office and they're closed. No after hours number. Checked site beside us and meter on. We had to move spots. Apparently she mixed up spaces. Again in emergency it's ok, but if you are planning more go down the road. Lastly the view of the mountains is blocked by scraggly trees. My husband and I came here in early June with our two dogs. This place is right off the 395 to the right. The registration lady was very friendly. We even got a call the day before asking us if we needed anything and to let us know we could check in early if we wanted. The campsites are dirt and gravel. The back in sites have concrete pads.The roads are paved. We stayed in site 67, which was a pull through. It had a tree, a small picnic table, and a fire pit. The neighbors were friendly. There was a big combination of weekend campers and some using this place as a stop over. Some campers brought their off-road bikes and quads. There is an entry to the desert from the park. The dog park was huge with entry gates at either end. Each entry point had gravel, but the park was dirt. I was disappointed at first, but then I realized that dirt is better because the gravel at the entry point was too hot for my dogs feet. We used the pool, and it was refreshing. There were only six lounge chairs, so bring your own if you want a guaranteed place to sit. The whole park felt comfortable. I suggest going up to the Mount Whitney Portal Picnic Area and to the Museum of Western Film. The town is 5 minutes away for groceries, restaurants, and other sites. Word out in the RV world is the Resort sold and is now 2xs the price. The old manager states it 43 per night and that is what we usually paid in the Summer for a pull thru full hookups and would stay a week at that price. I just looked and now for the Winter the back ins are 85.00$$$!!! It's not worth 85 and up. The RV world is in a recession at the moment. Not too many people will stay the week. Up the road we go...Unfortunate we and others have been going there for years. New owners, new mortgage....a few dollars more....not 2 times the amount. read more

Maria at the front desk was BEYOND RUDE! We showed up at 11:45a and she said "CHECK INS NOT TILL 12p" Uhhhhhhh, we just drove 5 hours and brought our own "home" AND our site was ready!!!! I asked if she wanted us to leave and she said "no, but next time it won't be tolerated" If I wasn't so dang tired we would've pushed on past just because of her! She's the reason for 2 stars being removed. The rest of the staff was amazing. Maria needs to GO! We stayed in the north campground and the spaces were very spacious and clean. We stayed in N16 and had our side by side with us and rode right out of our campground toward Owens Lake and also rode over to Alabama Hills. This was our first visit here. We normally travel higher up to Mammoth. We used this trip to test run our RV before our big spring break trip since we haven't been able to take a trip for a long time. The facility was very nice and well maintained. We especially liked the large dog park that was available. Of course it was not very busy because of it being the off season. I've only been here twice in passing to other places to fill up my travel trailer fresh water tank. The first time, attendant was friendly and chatty. It was an easy transaction. My second time, not so much. Even though I was willing to pay, the attendant said I couldn't fill up because it was the weekend and "busy" and maybe "not enough". RV park was clean and a small grass area and toys for kids. Large dog run and all sites have fire pits. Cable tv wasn't working and internet was a little spotty. Club house was closed early for some kind of bbq event they were having. Bathrooms were clean and over all clean place. I personally wouldn't stay during the summer as it will be hot. Need to be careful as some of the branches from the trees may cause damage to rv if not careful when pulling in or out of a site. read more

The cabin we rented was very dirty. A pair of men's dirty underwear were left on the bedroom floor, broken blinds, dirty floor vents, Keurig machine was so dirty it was unusable, room smelled bad, pool was closed indefinitely. RATS!! Beware if you are trying to stay in the cabins they have active rats in all 3 cabins on the property. The owner and employees are aware of this issue as it has been an issue for years they said but they still continue to rent them out. Plus finding all the poop and traps hidden behind cabinets shows it's been an issue for quite sometime. During our first night the rats came out and got into all of our food. Kept us up all night roaming in all the walls and whole cabin. Once the office opened in the morning to get my money back, Rebecca offered to move me to another cabin. As checking out the other two cabins I found rat poop still in both. No thanks. She was unable to credit a refund until she heard from the owner she said. The owners phone was turned off. I left a message on the owner's cell with no call back. Finally Rebecca said the owner offered to give me 90% of my money back for the first night only, as we had reservations for 4 nights. I refused told her I want it all back this is unreal that you wouldn't even credit a whole night worth after what we just experienced, let alone I wanted compensation for all my food that was ruined. End result got my whole refund back for our entire stay and had to inconvenience our other party with staying with them packed in their Rv with our whole family. (As this was our annual family camping trip and had 20 people attending multiple rigs), they ended up compensating me for my food as well but never once did I get any apology nor even a phone call from management or the owner apologizing. Pest control is an issue overall in their amenities with spiders and roaches as well. Customer service is poor as I had to demand what the right thing to do was. Maria was rude everytime I called this place prior to my reservation stay. The older gentleman is super nice and helpful. Other employees in the front are not the brightest nor have customer service skills. Don't recommend staying in the cabins. They are a step above motel 6 and nothing comparable to their photos online. Floors were dirty and spider webs throughout. My child wouldn't even sleep in the top bunk as he was terrified of getting bite. Horrible experience overall. Also they still continue to rent them out instead of calling people and informing them of the issue to not lose that money. read more

This rating was for our stay in Spring of 2023. We have stayed here several times Before during different seasons and we have enjoyed each time. The park has full hookups (water,electric and sewer) which work without problems. The cable tv however did not work and the park admitted they have not been able to get it to work for some reason. The amenities are nice. The campground is well thought out and organized. It has a pool and spa, small laundry area, nice store and a large dog park. They also have propane on site. I paid $6.00/gal and it was worth it for the convenience. They have rules that they enforce to make the the campground quiet and enjoyable. read more

We stayed here for two days and two nights. And we certainly appreciated the location and the beautiful grounds. BUT!!!! On the first night of our arrival, I used the ladies' bathroom, and one of the toilets looked like someone exploded in there. The next morning, I told the cashier to have someone clean it up because it was so disgusting. When we came back later that afternoon, it still wasn't cleaned. And it wasn't cleaned the next day either! What gives? And the floors were dirtier too. There were no paper towels. Apparently the men's bathroom wasn't cleaned either. The staff was unconcerned and unattentive. The woman was so busy chatting on the phone and one had to wait for her to pay attention. She paused for a second, then went back to chatting on the phone, making us feel like we were intruding. We, the paying customers! Customer service is poor. Is there even a cleaning crew? We tried to recycle, but there were no recycling bins anywhere. Or at least none that we found even though we walked throughout the grounds. This may be a lovely setting, and we would have loved to have given them a glowing review....but not when the toilets are so dirty! This sure didn't sound like the staff nor the service that others were raving about that made us choose this place. What happened? read more

We went Thanksgiving week-end and had an excellent stay. Resort is clean and well laid out. Check in was a breeze, every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful. Spaces were decent size, we had no issues. Bathrooms were clean and had nice hot showers (showers also clean). The only thing I did notice is that on our last day (Saturday) one of the toilets in the womens restroom was clogged. It appeared to be more of children playing in the restrooms and clogging the toilet intentionally. Just FYI, there are alot of off road vehicle users staying here, so there is quite a bit of motorcycles and sand rails driving through the campground going to and from the trails. Close to town and the portal road. A day trip to the Alabama Hills is also close and you can continue on up the portal road to Whitney Portal. We also took a side trip to the Manzanar National Monument (about 20 miles north). We will definitely stay here again! read more

Booked this RV park for one night to break up a long drive. RV sites were close together, but clean and level. Employees were friendly and they had called a few days prior to check in. The store was well stocked with beers and the basic necessities. I brought my dog on this trip and was happy to see the RV park offered a dog park... which was huge. We wanted to get away from the Palm Springs heat for the weekend, so we decided to come to Boulder Creek RV Resort which is a good 10 - 15 degrees cooler. On the plus side, the park is very easy to get too. It is right off of 395. The lots are good sized and easily accommodated our 42' class A coach. Marcos, the gentleman who checked us in was very nice and accommodating. When we discovered that the site we were assigned left the right side of the coach in full sun making it unbearable to sit outside, Marcos found another site for us with a different orientation, giving us much needed shade. Now the down side. My biggest complaint is that the swimming pool closes at 7:30pm, even though it is still daylight and over 100 degrees. Every other RV park I have been to keeps the pools open until at least 9 or 10. Next, we had an issue last night with one of our neighbors who thought it was okay to let his 7 year old son go racing around the park in a gas powered side by side. We ended up having words, and security eventually had to get involved. Our impression is that the park does not like to ask people to follow the rules and keep things safe for all. I don't think we will be back to this park. read more

Easy to get to location, right off 395 and very easy pull throughs for travel trailers and RVs. Store is stocked with adult beverages and stickers for your water bottle. The manager is a horrible person to deal with, beware of a pet policy they make you sign online when you check in. I was fined 20 dollars for our dog being off leash in a grassy area with a pet waste station, after she ran me down with her golf cart she informed me if she catches my pet off leash again it will be 20 dollars each time. I just walked out. Was told 2 days ago that the rate was $85 if we arrived Sunday or Monday, but the woman at the desk told me $95 and wouldn't budge. Then I asked if we could dump our tanks in 2 weeks on our return trip, since we were paying for it in our fee, and she said it would be $25 extra. Our tanks are empty now, so we would not be using their sewer this time. What a rip off! Just because they have a pool doesn't justify their high rates. Adjacent to the convenience store, you'll see a small backyard where you can just sit down and relax. To my amazement, I saw a bunch of turtles in their backyard! Rates - $40 per day, 10% Discount with AAA or Good Sam w/ 2 people - additional person is $10.00 per day (age 5 above).
