Got my feet scanned and sized and then the lady helping me asked me a few questions to determine my needs. She advised me on the type of shoe I needed for my arch and angle of my feet. I told her I was hoping to find something on sale and she brought me all of the shoes that fit my need that were also on sale. I ended up taking home two of the pairs I tried on and have been happy with them. Value for me was good - finding them on sale. Honestly, I've likely been spending the same amount (or more...) on lower cost shoes that wear out faster and also hurt my feet. Happy with my decision, and will be coming back when I need to get my next set of walking/running shoes. Recommend.

I actually come more for the running accessories and the run club vibe than anything else... it's always a solid community feel. That said, the shoe selection here felt a little limited. BUT I'll give them this... every location consistently has real runners and hikers working the floor, which makes a difference. They do custom fittings, have a rewards setup, and the stores are always clean and easy to shop. Reliable, just wish there were more shoe options.

Oh yeah - the skateboard prices are actually quite affordable compared to most other skate shops I've been to in East Bay. I guess my only complaint was that the wheel selection wasn't as big as other places I've been to in the East Bay, but that's honestly pretty nitpicky, and I still walked out with a good skateboard. As a family with both an elder in a wheelchair and a toddler in a stroller it really is a huge turn off if neither a wheelchair or stroller can shop with the same freedom as everybody else Aside from this the store starts operational work during business hours that prevents shopping. To get into the Halloween spirit, we went to Boheme Bewitched last night which is located down the street from the store at 300 E Street (a former bank building). The interior was transformed into creative magical niches including a pond, giant mushrooms, a wishing tree, tarot reading etc. Last night was fun with the UC Davis Drag Club providing energetic and lively performances. So great to be able to support this local group. The venue also has family friendly activities in the daytime hours :) Much appreciation to Boheme for creating this wonderful space to celebrate and enjoy the community and Halloween.
