We have used J & S for years for our business. Prompt service, quality work and great customer service. They even did some custom paint work up our driveway which our clients love! I would recommend them 100% to anyone looking for a very trustworthy experience. 5 star all the way! read more

I have been using J&S Asphalt on my commercial projects for 20 years. Recently they did a major road repair project for the community that I live in. The repairs and overlays took several days and they then seal-coated and restriped all of the streets which took another 3 days. Their attention to detail and quality of work is unsurpassed. They coordinated with the Community on the road closures that were required and coordinated with residents that were not going to be able to access their driveways. Terry Burley and his team are the best!!! read more

After being referred to J&S for our Driveway work, by pretty much everyone we contacted, I called them, and I am very glad I did. Their response time, workmanship, professionalism, and flexibility are simply amazing. Mr. Todd Johnson came out to give us an estimate, and every step of the rest of the process was seamless. I was able to contact Mr. Johnson very quickly, pretty much every time I had a question. Their confidence comes from years of experience, and it is quite obvious that they give the project at hand their utmost attention, and the entire crew simply enjoys the work they do. Thank you very much J&S! read more

J&S went above and beyond on our road repaving project. They went out of their way, at their own cost, to make sure the project was completed in time for a party. We appreciated the effort, flexibility, and commitment to the job. I would highly recommend working with them. read more

J&S is one of the best referrals I've ever gotten! Terry was so knowledgeable. they were booked out, although he found a way to squeeze me in within the same week. The Crew were true professionals from beginning to end and the best communication, not to mention the amazing deal they gave me. They went above and beyond - gave me extra service that I didn't even expect. I will continue to use J&S, hard to find people that make it so easy, such professionals. read more

Just had J&S pave our large sloped and curved driveway with big rocks all around the border. Nice looking job and done in within the estimated timeframe! Terry's bid was much more thorough than others and very competitive. He and his crew were all great. They were friendly, respectful, organized, arrived on time each day, and worked well as a experienced team. Quickly responsive to any questions. Very professional organization. Highly recommend them! read more

We had a damaged and neglected asphalt driveway that was in need of major repairs. We also had a large concrete job that we were planning to start. Roy came out and gave us an estimate for both. He was wonderful to work with and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable with the job. They had two full crews come to do the work, one for concrete and another for the asphalt. All these guys were amazing! They were skilled, polite, efficient, and worked so hard! I am a nervous nelly and they never minded me asking questions while the job was underway and they always made me feel confident in their work. I highly recommend J & S Asphalt for both asphalt and concrete. Their price was very good as well! read more

I would highly recommend J&S Asphalt. I needed a concrete slab for under a sunroom that's was being built at one of my homes and asphalt on a rock area to complete the driveway at another one of my homes in a different town. I spoke with TerryBurley the estimator, who was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with coming up with plans for both jobs. He made the decision making very simple. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism as well as the concrete crews who did the first job and the asphalt crew who did the second job. On each project all of the workers were busy at all times. I never saw anyone standing around, on their cell phones or not being deeply involved in working hard on the the project. I definitely would give five stars on the completed, concrete and asphalt as both of the finishes were fabulous. I had a wood plank stamp with dark release done on the outside patio. The whole project from start to finish was so easy with Terry handling all of the work. I was very impressed with this company and would use them again. read more

Terry and his crew are nothing short of AMAZING. We just used J and S for the 2nd time, and have now done ~25k sqft of residential driveway/motor court asphalt work with them...I could NOT be more satisfied. My sincere recommendation...ask for Terry directly and never look back! I'd say J and S is "worth spending more," but the reality is that their pricing was even better than the competition, so truly a win / win! :) Thx again to Terry and team, you guys are truly artists, and the quality of you work/professionalism is MUCH appreciated! read more

J&S was one of three bidders to complete our shared road and four separate driveways. The road and driveways were all in fairly rough condition. J&S provided the most competent and complete bid, Terry worked with each individual homeowner to assess needs and bid scopes of work that was in the best interest of each homeowners. The competitors were hurried and did not provide quality bids or assessments. J&S was priced in the middle, and well worth the additional money from the low bidder for what the results were. It's hard to make everyone happy on such a big and frankly costly project, however each of the five homeowners on the road were ecstatic with the results, Terry was on the job site every day overseeing the work (morning and night) and the crews doing the work were all extremely hard working, friendly and accommodating. J&S should for sure be one of your bidders, I would also strongly suggest you request Terry Burley to quote and work with you through completion. Happy homeowners in Applegate. read more

Excellent!! I would see one of their trucks every day when I used to pick up my kids from school. We finally needed a fix and Wow, better pricing, kind professional service, and when the crew came out they were fantastic. They went above and beyond. This company is the real deal! We had new asphalt, tree root damage asphalt repair, crack repair and sealant work done, all done top-notch and timely in as much as working around our schedule and required curing time for the various steps. I found them here on Yelp and the reviews are what gave me confidence to call them. Terry took care of us, explaining everything clearly, delivered on exactly what was promised. All the workers I talked to really knew what they were doing and were pleasant to chat with. Don't hesitate to call on J&S for your asphalt needs! Two Thumbs Up! read more

My husband and I were absolutely delighted with J&S Asphalt when we hired them in 2001 to install a basketball court at our home in Jackson - they did the exact regulation line spacing my hubby wanted and had great color suggestions for the key areas. Our bball court lasted longer than we expected so when we wanted to re-surface it in 2017, J&S was the company I called. Imagine my surprise when I heard Terry, our excellent sales guy, was still with J&S and remembered our project from 16 years ago! Terry again did an excellent job working with us to find a solution that met our needs and was within our budget. One thing we particularly appreciated with our 2017 re-surfacing was that the J&S team got it done in time for a big party we were hosting. We definitely recommend J&S Asphalt for their quality work and excellent customer service! read more

For you it's a transaction and you want a fair bid. For Terry and J&S it's a project they will take pride in, and they want a relationship. We had some new asphalt, patching, and seal coating done recently and couldn't be more pleased. Terry provides an education in asphalt application and maintenance. He wants to know and understand his customer, and he works hard to make sure everything is right. The crews are prompt, efficient, and very neat in their work, leaving nothing behind except a beautiful job. Can't say enough about how positive our experience was working with J & S on the surfacing and painting of our backyard basketball court. Terry Burley was super easy to work with. Ours was a smaller job than normal for J & S, but Terry worked with us and we never felt that we were not a priority. Crew leader Chayanne and his team were very professional and did an A+ job. From start to finish we felt this is a company that is truly focused on customer service. read more

I am a property manager located in Roseville California: I met with Terry Burly of J&S who was most sincere and professional. His recommendations and suggestions for the work to be completed was detailed and concise. I received 4 total bids and after having the other 3 companies adjust the bids for "like kind" work, I still chose to use J&S. The work was completed on time, as promised, the crew was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this company. Working with J&S Asphalt on our tennis court resurfacing was a real pleasure. Terry Burley knows his asphalt and really went the extra mile to make sure the result was perfect. This was a challenge since the court had not been touched in 8 years and it was a mess...cracks, peeling, broken edges, etc. The court now looks like new! Great experience. I will use J&S again. read more

I have used J&S Asphalt at my office building in Citrus Heights twice now. In July 2016 and previously about 3 or 4 years ago. Both times the owner, Todd, was extremely responsive and got me competitive bids quickly. Subsequently, the work was scheduled around my schedule and was performed when promised. More importantly, the work was done extremely well and looks beautiful. It is amazing how much better my whole complex looks now. I would not hesitate to use J&S Asphalt for all of my asphalt needs. I know that I will be calling again in a few years when my building needs another facelift. read more

We recently had Terry and the entire crew do an asphalt repair near Sonora, California. This was a very large project that needed some asphalt replacement, petro-mat installation, and an overall seal coating throughout the project. This could have easily impacted many of our elderly residents negatively but J&S made it more than easy. They took care of the resident notifications, communicated directly with them instead of channeling complaints through our team and made this a pleasurable experience instead of something that we would regret. And our facility was a good 2 1/2 hour drive from their facility in Rocklin. There was no complaining, and no compromises. The project turned out perfectly and without a single complaint from a resident. In the middle of our project, I also referred a friend of mine to J&S to re-seal his very large driveway in Auburn, California. They worked the same way with him and he too is elated and will never consider another contractor. What a perfect decision to use J&S. Next time you have a job of this type, I wouldn't even consider another contractor. They handle it all and the quality is impeccable. And if the slightest thing is not right, they will fix it without a question! A company of impressive integrity, awesome employees who are "all in" and a work ethic that is unmatched! On Time and a fair deal all around. Bravo!!! read more

Just spoke with Todd. He is a Gentleman! Still getting a quote for my asphalt, but he was very pleasant and understanding!

My property management company has worked with J&S Asphalt for the past 10 years and will not work with anyone else. They have handled large pavement projects in high traffic retail centers, performed ADA repairs and improvements, and assisted us with short and long term plans for our parking lot maintenance. Our rep, Terry, completely understands our pavement needs and thoughtfully stages a project to minimize impact to our tenants. Bids, inspections, and billing are timely and professional. I cringe when an owner asks me to get additional bids! read more

J&S recently did a crack fill and road seal for our private road. This road is approximately 1/2 mile long and there are several driveways. They did a very high quality job, even removing weeds from our cracks before filling them. Recently, I had one of my most positive business experiences ever with this company. J&S was scheduled to reseal the streets of our community, so a notice was left at our entrance. Since their equipment would already be on-site, I figured it would be a good time to get our 700+ foot driveway repaired and resealed; so I called J&S. Todd Johnson, one of the owners, came to the house, was extremely personable, and gave me an extremely fair price. His crew showed up on time, were polite, and did an incredible job. Even better, Todd seemed so well connected to the area that I asked him for some referrals for other craftsmen. He texted me all the information within a few hours, obviously something he didn't have to do. I am in no way affiliated with this company, just met Todd a few weeks ago. I just felt compelled to let others know how good these folks are. read more

J & S has handled my parking lot needs for the last 7 years. Every 2-3 years I have them back to add more striping or spruce up areas that need attention. Choosing J and S Asphalt to repair and maintain our private road in Newcastle was the best decision for us. They are a local company with many projects nearby from our local grocers in Lincoln to our office building in Granite Bay so we were able to see their quality of work in person and their professional approach in staging heavy equipment out of the customers' way. If you're managing a homeowner's association and you need to pave or maintain your road we recommend contacting Terry Burley. Homeowners on private roads can be very passionate when conveying their needs and concerns and Terry went above and beyond to accommodate everyone prior, during and after.
