I moved into my home a year ago and the patio was in pretty bad shape. It had a topping on the concrete that had not been cared for, showing signs of chipping and water stains that wouldn't power wash out. I considered tearing the whole thing out (at great expense and mess) but a contractor friend suggested just taking the top coat off and redoing that. I contact two companies I found here on Yelp and AB Concrete called me back. John came down from Auburn and gave me a quote before he left. Initially, I told him I decided to fully replace the whole mess because I wanted to do more extensive work with it, but called him a week later because economic reality kicked it. He scheduled the job and a crew of three came down and finished the job in three days. Kenny, Isaiah and Ivan were easy to work with and Kenny did a marvelous job of customizing the ultimate color of the patio. They were mindful of my backyard and cleaned up each day. I'm very pleased with the work they performed and how the patio looks now. (I'm also happy with the thousands left in my bank account too!) read more

Poor workmanship, even worse customer service. Coating that they applied to my back patio chipped off within 3 months, despite the $5000.00 price tag. I called them several times to come back out so we could discuss solutions. They never returned. read more

Amazing service! Came out and provided an honest bid for the job. Scheduled a few days later and arrived exactly when stated. I was expecting the work to take at least a few days due to the size of the job. These fellas worked their asses off and finished everything in one day. As you can see from the pictures it was no small task. If you want quality work done by professionals, AB concrete is a great choice. I highly recommend you give them a call! read more

We are extremely happy with our concrete coating! It only took about 3 days, the guys were all very professional and did a wonderful job. We had that aggregate pebble concrete before that was ugly and painful to walk on. I would recommend AB to anyone looking to upgrade their concrete at a much lower cost than replacing with new. read more

Excellent communication and work by the company. They went the extra mile to mix sample colors onsite instead of relying on colors from a catalog. The workmanship was excellent and we are very happy with the results. read more

The previous owner of our home apparently over bleached the concrete portion of our driveway. We believe this was done in an ineffective attempt to clean. The process ultimately resulted in significant mottling and discoloration. Very unattractive. The exposed aggregate portion of the drive was not damage. The flagstone sections in our courtyard were discolored and aged looking. We interviewed several companies to see what they could do for us, when and at what price. We decided upon AB Concrete Coating, Inc. After more than 7 months, we are most pleased with the outcomes and service. The work done to restore the concrete involved the application of a 'Colorcoat' product (Ultra Surface Polymer), in a light antique/earth tone color. Of course, all hardscape surfaces were cleaned and sealed. Finally, we recently discovered a painter had splattered five or six quarter size white paint drops on the finished driveway. I called AB Concrete and they arrived the next day to address my problem. No signs of spilled paint. I recommend this company. read more

Ab Concrete did all our decks for our house 17 years ago. We recently discovered some dry rot on the upper deck due to improper gutter installation (not done by AB Concrete). Brian worked closely with the carpenters doing the repair by cutting back the damaged concrete so a new subfloor could be installed in the dry rot areas. At the same time, we were painting the entire house outside so they had to time the repair to not interfere with the painting. The crew did a beautiful job in putting down the new polymer floor while being mindful of the house painters. All this was done during the very hot weather this summer which made the job even more of a challenge. They completed the entire project on time. This company does excellent work, understands their product well, and works closely with the customer to achieve the desired look. I highly recommend this company. read more

AB Concrete Coatings is the best! For safety reasons, we were in need of an upgrade to our driveway and front walkway. We didn't want a complete concrete removal, so AB fit the bill. John provided an estimate with a start date. They didn't miss a beat. On Schedule and the crew was great. They were here every morning, on time, for five straight days. We selected the colors, they provided suggestions. AB did the area around the pool a few years ago, so we knew that their workmanship was great. We are so pleased with our project, Many compliments from friends and neighbors. Highly recommend AB Concrete Coatings read more

I really loved the look of my pool deck and driveway for about 3 months. then, the cracks that were filled started to reappear and the "coating" material began to chip away. i left messages for John who never returned my phone calls. The one time he answered he said they don't guarantee crack repairs. I asked, "you don't guarantee the material you use?" He asked me to text him photos and he would come by for a look and I never heard from him again. So, I totally DO NOT recommend this company. Crumbly product and crappy customer service. read more

Great Company, Great Customer Service! They do an amazing job, making your concrete look fabulous! I would hire them again. read more

Where do I start? AB Concrete Coverings has to go down as one of the most outstanding upgrades we have added since building our home. We signed up with them during one of the longest rainy seasons in many years which meant postponing the job for weeks. When the weather broke into sunshine, they leaped on our job like the 49ers won the Super Bowl! Brian, Kenny, Rob and Josh were the team who put it all together. These gentlemen showed the manners and respect toward us that you would expect from West Point grads! They worked until sunset from early dawn to get the job done before the clouds started to empty again. The first day, they thoroughly power hosed and scrubbed the driveway and walk...and I mean, every inch was prepped to perfection. The second day, painstakingly, (Kenny, Rob and Josh) started at the curb side and, artistically, hand-designed the flagstone conformation of the entire project using strong 'masking' tape, after which, they applied a white coating of concrete. During all of this back breaking work, they joked and laughed with each other and, never once acted as if they were hurting in any way. It almost gave me a backache watcing them! The third day, they pulled up all of the tape, and then, the beautiful shapes that will look like original flagstones magically appear. The final step of their creation was to hand brush color onto the "stones" to enhance the look of autenticity. (Again, jovial attitude throughout their work)! At the final stage, they applied varnish to an area so that we could approve the color and look of the finished product. It was even more beautiful than we expected, which gave them the go ahead to apply the final finish. We would strongly advise anyone who has pride in his/her home and wants to improve the curbside looks and value, to consider calling AB Concrete Coverings. Just as we believe, you will think it is best value for dollar you have ever spent! Al and Marti Avolicino, Cameron Park read more

Amazing work! Our concrete walkway and stairs to the home was old, cracked and mixed with concrete patches that were uneven and didn't match. AB Concrete Coatings gave a reasonable estimate and performed the work with perfection in less than 3 days. The concrete was evened out completely and then stained with blended colors that highlighted our walkway beautifully. Our home now has stairs and a stunning walkway to the front of the home and down the side that looks absolutely fabulous. read more

Great Company to work with. Kenny & Josh did an outstanding job, keeping us informed with every aspect of the job. We didn't realize how many steps there were to this application. Our existing 20 year old concrete had numerous cracks and was just plain ugly. Now all of the concrete matches and is very pleasing to the eye. I would definitely recommend you contact the Project Manager, John Barmettler. John is very knowledgeable and he has a great video showing all of the detailed steps involved. read more

So, this is a "seasoned" review. AB did our patio a little over three years ago and it has held up amazingly. We're very happy with the outcome and the professional attention that was give to our project. The estimator saw us on a very timely basis, was thorough with what we were looking for, and the cost was more than reasonable. The job was completed when and as promised. I certainly would recommend this company for any concrete work you might need. read more

Great company to work with and the results are fantastic. Brian and team did a great job with our patio, and went above an beyond to make sure everything was of the highest standard. The end product is beautiful, and gets compliments from everyone that comes to the house. I recommend them to anyone that is looking for a concrete solution. read more

After 37 years the wood deck under our hot tub needed to be replaced. We decided to take this opportunity and redo the entire patio! We got Brian's information at a Home Show. We were very impressed with the website, so we had Brian come out for an estimate. Keep in mind his company does not do cement work, just the overlay. We set about searching for a cement contactor. Once that was complete we were ready for the overlay. We were scheduled for July 13. We really wanted to be done before the 4th of July! We called Brian to see if there had been any cancellations. Brian new how important we wanted that, he said he'd try. He called the next day, said he moved stuff around, added another guy and it would be done! They started Monday 6/25/18. Today is 6/27/18 and they are done!! We could not be happier!! Brian, John and Jesse did excellent work. We highly recommend AB Concrete Coating. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the customer service and the coloring outcome of my patio work. There are lots of nice pictures in their example book but the coloring of my patio looks like it was done by a preschooler. One of the supervisors came out and looked at it, took pictures to show the crew what NOT to do, said they could come back and 'fix' it. A few weeks later he called and said they would be out the next week and I haven't heard from them since. I have called and sent letters to no avail. I spent $$$ for this work and now will have to find another company to make it look like I thought it was going to look in the first place. Extremely disappointed. read more

After interviewing 12 different contractors (over a 3 year period), I finally found one that I felt good enough about to redo my old cracked and dilapidated driveway. I considered a complete tear-out and re-pour of new stamped and colored concrete, and I also looked into resurfacing. After much research, I decided to go with resurfacing, as it was less disruptive (no tear-out needed, no truck loads of wet cement), and it also provided much more flexibility with color and design options. The crew with AB Concrete Coatings was amazing. Brian, Adrian, Troy, Kenny and the rest were a delight to work with---and I assure you, I am a difficult client. They kept me informed every step of the way and worked with me on patterns and colors, which are virtually endless. I could not be more pleased with the result. I highly recommend these guys if you are looking to upgrade the look of your driveway, walkways, or patio. read more
