I'm a very picky and cautious person and James eased my mind with his knowledge and his great communication especially while the repairs were in progress! They also were willing to work with my schedule for drop off. He found passenger side wheel bearings were seized up and called before replacing it. I was surprised how fast the repairs were made and they kept the old parts so I could look them over after. During the test drive he found a couple other concerns and promptly informed me of these. I had them fixed and the following weekend took a trip to Eureka and down the coast. It felt like a whole new beast! I'll definitely start with major muffler in the future for any vehicle concerns.

Told them he had replaced the fuel injectors within the past year, lift pump within the past two years and believes it's most likely the pressure pump but does not have the scanner required to do the other diagnostics that need to be done. My boyfriend called around after dropping his truck off around 9 am. I sat like a fly on the wall listening. My BF asked about his truck the person on the phone sounded annoyed when they told him "I'm with a customer can you hold?" He came back on the phone and proceeded to tell my BF that they aren't really sure what the problem is but they think possibly 3 of the injectors failed and would have to charge around ballpark of 400$ to take them all out to test them, but it could be the pressure pump they don't know for sure. Long story short he called up Jefferson State diesel (JSD) where he had purchased the injectors to begin with. The friendly staff member answered, "Good afternoon, (introduced himself) and asked how he could help. He referred to my BF formally calling him Mr (and used his last name)." He was so professional far stretch from J and H performance. He informed my BF his injectors were under warranty and would be glad to help. My BF then called back J and H performance and explain to him that he would go ahead and pick up his truck. He asked what the charge would be. J and H performance told my boyfriend that they worked on his truck for four hours total. There was no diagnosis which is the whole point of bringing it in. They told him what he already knew. Apparently on the receipt there was only a few items that show what they had done which was hook up some scanners and they told him they worked four hours on his truck and charged $375. NO WAY When my bf told him he was very unhappy with that price considering there was no diagnosis.. the guy told him, "well what do you want us to charge you?" Then proceeded to get rude and state, "just come get your truck and don't come back here." My BF told him "oh no I don't expect anything for free. I know you did some work, I'd like to pay you for but 375$ is ridiculous!" My BF paid the full bill needless to say he won't be returning and I would not recommend them, myself personally, to anybody just based on what I had witnessed with my own eyes and ears. They charged us for the tank and all replacement parts, along with the cleaning and rodding out. When we got it home and lifted the radiator to reinstall, out poured green antifreeze (Red Flag #1); Owner had stated that he flow tested the radiator and it was "clean", a flow tested radiator does not have antifreeze to pour out (Red Flag #2); then after looking into the bottom port there were no internal scratch marks from being rodded out (Red Flag #3); We called the owner back the following morning, asked him what he glow tests his radiators with he stated he "cannot answer that" (Red Flag #4); We took radiator to a completely different shop morning after picking radiator up from Rod's, shop number 2 flow tested radiator first thing and found it was plugged, they had to use acid to unclog and thoroughly clean the radiator, they got excessive dirt and bugs and debris out of the radiator (Final Red Flag); We then called Rod's to inform them that we believed they charged us for a service that was not actually completed, they acted highly offended, but could not provide proof that the service was indeed completed let alone answer questions about the steps of the supposedly done service. Further more, after facts were presented and a lawsuit implied, they did refund the money but not until we had to use our own receipt to tell them how much they had charged us because they had "misplaced" the receipt from the day before. #suspicious Rod's Radiator was established in 1978 by Mr. Rod Forseth and was know for his quality work. On Monday we were there at 8am and to our surprise there was a line of people already in the office. We figured we had no chance but the fact that they were super busy was a good sign. Amy took care of us and said they were super busy but would get someone to do a quick diagnosis. Jeremy, the Manager, stopped everything he was doing and provided us with a quick diagnosis and our options. The car had not been serviced in a while And it needed a new transmission. Expensive but the fact that Jeremy took immediate care of our needs and provided options plus we felt so comfortable with the way he handled it. The rest of the staff were very friendly and super helpful. It's a bummer that our car broke down but I am thankful for repair shops like Perry's who are honest and handle their business with integrity and care for the people that get stranded in the middle of no where while traveling on vacation. Other customer reviews showed comprehensive courtesy inspections were included as well as an extensive courtesy brake and Tire inspections. I was charged to diagnose a rattle in my brakes. Not only did they diagnose the rattle wrong but when I asked to correct it..It is now still not fixed.. instead, they bent the clips out to build more tension and put spray glue on the calipers to hold them down. I live an hour from town so I got to take 3.5 hours out of my life to have it still not fixed or even diagnosed properly. Wish I could charge them back at an hourly rate. The receptionist tells me they charge multiple diagnostic fees because She can't be having Her guys do work for free. But She apparently doesn't mind having Her customers drive back-and-forth on their own dimes. Awesome. I would pay overly inflated prices if I felt like things were getting done properly. Issac was my mechanic and he did what he could. Very nice guy who I really appreciate. Thank you Issac. But this shops got some issues. Not the mechanics fault. The original estimate link said that the brake stuff would be included in the courtesy brake and tire inspection.. zero dollars. (Take screen shots. I forgot) They found that the rattle clip was bent outward instead of tucked in like they should be on both front tires. So basically they had to bend the clip back in and that cost me 130. They're still rattling. Much better but still it's a band-aide not a fix. Supposedly they checked the back brakes, but one of them is squealing pretty severely and has a stuck Caliper.. completely missed that. When I asked if they looked at them they said, I'm sure I did.. no memory of it and no record of it. The comprehensive inspection also said zero dollars in the original link. 180+ to diagnose the clutch issues. Clutch replacement price was 1400 to 2200. I thought 'that's realistic I can cover that no problem.' Even if the insurance won't cover it. That's a standard price and why the system auto populated as such. After Statefarm got involved I reopened that quote link, completely different price. $3500 plus..more than the Subaru dealership. When I hit them up about it they acted like they didn't know I was was talking about. But I would not have pulled a price 1400 to 2200, out of my ass. I know I saw that. They know that their software auto populates before they change it. I figured that, so I looked it up and that is definitely the case. They went ahead and blatantly admitted to marking up their parts over 68% and mentioned that they added another hour plus to the estimate for labor. If you buy parts online from the dealership that's 105% mark up. Seriously what?? $765 vs over $1600+. I get marks ups, but this over the top. Naturally, the labor rate is not listed on their itemized bill and estimate or website. I will include for you the difference between the actual oem prices versus what they were going to charge. And evidence of free diagnostic and brake inspections done for other customers. Also what ai said about the collision I don't know why, but they insisted that this had nothing to do with the accident. I hit a huge bear, it crumpled the entire right side of my car. It does seem like it's related. The clutch wasn't slipping or going out prior, it's a very young clutch for a Subaru Impreza, and it started directly after the accident. It's a short rubber squeal upon take off. The clutch is still actually working fine. I asked them if they could rewrite the quote saying that this is consistent w an impact only because I have researched it quite a bit and that does seem to be the case. And possibly add that mechanically, the clutch is still sound and operational. They literally told me there is no way that it is related and that I am trying to commit insurance fraud. Are u kidding me?? Guess I shouldn't have bitched that my tires were over inflated. Save yourself the time and hassle.

I experienced damage to a wheel hub on my dual axle trailer in Ashland OR. Had a shop there install brakes all around while they were repairing it. Heading back home to the Bay Area, by the time I got to Mt. Shasta another hub was heating up. I spoke to Troy, a mobile mechanic in Weed. He was booked and, lacking other options in the area, I decided to limp down to civilization (Redding) where my odds of finding help would increase. Troy referred me to All Wheel. Four hours and 65 miles later, I limped into their lot, hoping against hope for an appointment sometime in the next week. I spoke to Rizzy, an outstanding gentleman with a heart of gold. Much to my surprise, within a short time he had Brian inspecting all of my axles. As it was late in the day, we decided it would be best to finish in the morning. As others have mentioned, I was graciously offered the option to spend the night, which I gladly accepted. Throughout the process they kept me in the loop as to what they were doing to diagnose and eventually fix the problem. They found two issues that the previous shop was responsible for, and by noon the next day I was heading back home to the Bay Area. I could not have asked for better service.
