I really like this place. There are some tables outside, they serve beers, have ice cream, and they have some tasty food!! Very reasonable prices. It's very casual, so I usually pop in after the gym for a salad. Calzone's are great too! I haven't tried the pizza but I think that's next! :) read more

I am not a big fan of thin crust or deep dish pizza's, hence it has been a struggle to find good pizza places in USA. I was surprised by the quality of pizza and thickness of crust at J&D. Ordered a cheese pizza with two toppings. Cheese pizza tasted like one that had real cheese and finally I felt that I was getting some toppings instead of sprinkling of toppings. It is conveniently located close to my house and I feel that I would be visiting this place a lot more in future. I took a take-out hence can't really comment on service level. They have tried to make interiors a bit classy but lack of music takes down the ambience. Recommended highly for people living on Diamond Hill Rd. region. It tastes remarkably good. read more

One of the worst pizza I have ever had. It was flat and dry like cardboard. This is the 3rd time I've been there. I ordered boneless buffalo wings and I received a chicken sized wing. Terrible!!! One star is being generous with this disaster of an establishment that lacks concern and respect for their customers. After ordering a pizza and a salad expressing we needed no onion b/c my husband was allergic, we were devliered a pizza and salad with onions. My husband could not eat any more once we realized there were in fact onions. Unfortunately, he had already eaten some. I called and spoke with the manager who gave us a $6 credit for the salad. As anticipated, my husband ended up with a 2 day migraine. He had to miss work, I had to miss work to drive him home b/c he loses his vision. What a terrible inconvenience. With the being said, I called back the manager and kindly expressed that the credit wasn't good enough considering what happened and we wanted our money back. It took about a month to get $6 and we were not even refunded for the pizza. The manager was incredibly rude and told us they didn't need our business. I know J&D has been around for a long time, but given their insensitivity for people's health, who knows what else they are doing to your food. I would highly recommend you avoid J&D pizza. read more

This place was terrible.. Ordered buffalo fingers they where blocks of over cooked rubbery chicken jerky..have never seen chix fingers that looked like that!! Never mind the taste the description doesnt even begin the give u a mental image of how they tasted!! The fries or shld i say the mashed together pile of what was supposed to be french fries which we are not sure where potatoes were so bad and chewy and gross idk how this place is still in buissness!! We order from them probably twice a month and in my opinion, they have the best pizza and calzones in the city. Normally we have it delivered and if they say it'll be there in 30 minutes, expect a knock in 20. read more

Typical pizza place with exceptional food. I'm always a sucker for their steak and cheese. I'd recommend you ask for extra cheese though, they seem to never add enough for my taste. Their turkey and grilled chicken subs are great too. Delivery is always fast, and as others have said their drivers are always really nice. read more

Stopped in here for a sub the other day and their food was delicious. They put a sandwich together with the right balance. Just the right amount lettuce, tomato, toppings and oil to compliment the meats and cheese. The bread was fresh. And the tomato was sliced - so much better than chopped. All this at reasonable price. We've eaten at this restaurant for years, but after the terrible service we received today we will never order from them again. We ordered a small white pizza, however they delivered a cheese pizza instead. When we called to confirm we didn't get charged extra, the manager was very rude and even though he acknowledged they gave us the wrong pizza, he refused to deliver the right one to us. So we had to eat the cheese (my son was hungry!) but it wasn't good at all. Their grinders aren't bad, but after this bad service we won't do business with them again. read more

I order from here about once a week and the food is great for the price. They tend to use a lot of cheese so unless you like it piled on (whether its a pizza or sandwich) ask for lite. The pasta/pizza sauce is good but its a little different than most other places I've been. The quality and service are great for a pizza place. Sadly, my family and I have eaten here for years, but I won't be going back. I always hesitated to order salads there because every time half of the lettuce would be the hard white center from the head of lettuce. The part you don't eat when you make a salad at home. When I called in my order I said I knew it was a strange request, but I'd like all green lettuce. The woman said no problem. Once I picked it up I opened it in my car...to find that easily half of the lettuce was the white center. I removed that half of the lettuce and took it back inside to request green lettuce in its place. The gentleman behind the counter said all of his lettuce looked like that. Hmm, odd because the other half of my salad is green. I showed him all of the white lettuce I'd removed. He said everyone loves it and he's never had any complaints. I was a little amazed that this was his response from a customer service standpoint. Not 'Sure, let me give you a new handful of lettuce', or 'Sorry about that, let me make you another', or 'Would you like something else?'. Nope, I guess I can't expect green lettuce there, now I know. It's a shame, they were our go to pizza place. Ownership did change, maybe that was it. I guess I'll just have to go to Zax Galley. read more

I have been a client of J&D for 16 years and the last couple of months their service has really gone down hill. A few of their employees are really sweet, however, the ones that sometimes answer the phone can't get off the phone with you fast enough, to a point where my order is either wrong or cold two out of five times. I spend at least $50-60 a week there and this last time took the cake. I ordered my food via phone and was hung up on as soon as he got my credit card number to a point where i thought we were disconnected. As I got my food the delivery driver dropped my sandwich and proceeded to still try to give it to me, even though there were pickles all over my porch. Huffing and puffing he took the sandwich away to make a new one. As he drove away my husband called the restaurant to let them know which sandwich had dropped. The person on the phone inquired about which driver brought the food and he explained he thought the driver was spanish with a white car. Not even five minutes later the driver returns with the "new sandwich", as it was ice cold, so I am pretty sure it was the same sandwich. He proceeds to scold my husband saying he isn't spanish and how dare he say that and walked away swearing at my husband. My husband apologized sincerely, however, that wasn't enough and he continued swearing. My husband told him to get off my property, and the driver came back to the door, calling on my 15 year old son. He finally left when I told him I would call the authorities if he didn't leave. My husband then called the restaurant to complain only to have the guy who answered tell my husband to shut the f**k up and hung up on him. I am mortified that a restaurant that I would give my business to and sent so much business to would treat me like this. The owner will be notified tomorrow, however, I am NEVER giving them any business ever again. This was it for me. read more
