Love this restaurant. The food is always delicious and the staff is so friendly. The caterer for my friend's wedding had to cancel at the last minute. I told the bride not to panic, that we could figure it out. I went to several different restaurants to piece together a menu that was amazing. Truly amazing and a main stay of Woonsocket. While sadly only take out now, the food is worth it! The menu is a celebration of traditional Thai/Laotian home cooking, with each dish bursting with flavor and made with love. The wonton soup is the perfect balance of savory AND FRESH!. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every spoonful, making it the best I've had. I also love the Satay to open a meal. The fresh Nim Chow (Summer Rolls) are also really delicious. For the main course, love their soups (Pho, Kow Piek) and fried rices and noodle dishes. They are simple yet packed with flavor, just like a home-cooked meal should be! The green curry was another standout, rich and creamy with just the right amount of heat, and paired perfectly with jasmine rice. If you're looking for authentic Thai and Laotian food that reminds you of home-cooked meals, Thai Garden is the place to go. Super friendly staff and good food! I got the drunken noodles, fresh shrimp spring rolls, and Thai iced tea. Drunken noodles were spicyyyy however I forgot to tell them my desired spice level. I still ate the whole thing! The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was delish! The BEST Lao food you'll ever try: The hole in the wall location is truly loved by my family and many others. The famous larb (meat salad) is famous for a reason - to those in Woonsocket AND outside of Rhode Island. Thai Garden's larb is packed with flavor and goes well with sticky rice. In Lao, we have the saying "bor phet bor sap" which translates to "if it's not spicy, it's not good." The larb dish can kick in after a bite or two for my non-spice folks, but don't pass on the chance to try it. To put it shortly, the restaurant's version of larb is authentic and hasn't changed over the years I've lived in Woonsocket. Next, the grilled beef tongue is great: texture and flavor are spot on. I like to pair the meat with lettuce or sticky rice. The recipe didn't seem to change and is the same as I remembered it. One item I didn't mention (but also recommend) is the wings - lightly fried, crispy, and savory. The interior can be a bit cramped so I suggest getting takeout. In the center of downtown Woonsocket, parking can be tricky, but don't let that intimidate you. Overall, Thai Garden holds a lot of dishes that replay good memories. I remember my relatives visiting from out of state, trying the takeout, and ordering containers of larb to bring home. If it's your first visit to Woonsocket or you want to try Lao food, Thai Garden is a MUST for the dishes mentioned. read more

I really love this small family place. I live in Southern MA and regularly drive here for their food. Good people, good food. I had a great experience there one time, back when their kids were young. It was a frosty, snowy, winter night. The windows were fogged, hazed by neon signs, and the kids were doing their homework on laptops in a corner. A warm, glowing atmosphere matched well by the food. We had good beer, relaxed, and ordered too much. I won't describe particular dishes, but will say that they do everything very well. The flavors are delicate and authentic--yes, "hot" when the dish requires. I'm reviewing the overall, and this overall is good. I live near several MA Thai restaurants: Bangkok Cafe (Foxborough), Thai Boo Cuisine (Norwood), Thai Thani (Norwood), and Siam Lotus (Norwood), too many to mention, but this place sings. All I can say is WOW! Ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. perfect level of spicy and well balanced flavors. The chicken was perfectly seasoned as if it was marinating for some time. If you like your noodles a bit sweet this dish is for you. The front staff was super friendly and had a smile on her face. YUMMY! Such an underrated gem in Woonsocket. Service is quick and staff are friendly. Prices are reasonable and FLAVOR IS THERE. I usually go for the massaman curry, the yellow curry, pineapple fried rice and a couple of thai iced teas. They do have a dine-in option and may have had a buffet before covid but I never got a chance to try, although I heard good things about it. Anyway, they've got some lunch specials and I'd probably order more often if I was located closer but it is what it is. This place seemed really small and dead from the outside, but tables get getting filled the entire time we ate there. To start off, I enjoyed their Thai Ice Tea the most! It took awhile for them to get the ingredients started though. We showed up an hour after opening time, but they ran out of lettuce and again, the Thai iced tea wasn't ready. The spring rolls were mostly veggies, and the sauce could use less sugar...you could feel the thickness from it. The chicken wings were done well, too. If you want something really authentic to lao/thai culture, you can ask for it because some things are not on the menu. Thai tea is a must have. Sticky rice is good with chicken satay. Fried chicken wings are crispy. Pad thai noodles are flavorful. Cantonese noodles are to die for. Papaya salad is traditional to lao culture hot and spicy. Gotta give this place a try!!! First time customer, I went thanks to Yelp! Very busy for a Tuesday. Ordered takeout and it was fantastic. Crab rangoons were crisp and delicious. Spring rolls w/shrimp were 6 stars! This was my second time coming here - both times for the lunch buffet (only available Wed-Fri). I haven't eaten off the regular menu yet (that's why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5), but I'm sure I won't have any complaints. This is a Thai restaurant, so the buffet selection isn't huge like you would find in Chinese Buffets, but whatever options they do have - they're all good. Their tom yum soup was delicious! Just enough heat and extremely flavorful. I only had water but my bf had a thai iced tea - a bit too sweet for my taste, but he enjoyed it. We ordered the papaya salad (level 2 spicy), tom yum soup, drunken noodles with beef and seafood, spicy bamboo with a large side of sticky rice. The food was so flavorful and tasty. Holy Thai buffet. I am here on a Thursday and let me tell you, with the exception of super casual atmosphere, this place is pretty legit. This isn't your run on the mill Thai place where you want to take a fancy date for a private dinner. This is where if you come from a Thai/Lao family or if you want a super casual place where you can just hang out eat and have somewhere to eat judge free without any hoity toity craziness then by all means, eat ! Lunch is 9$ for a BUFFET. That's unheard of where I come from and while the selection isn't vast, it's pretty good for the staples. The taste is a little sweet but flavor is not lacking. A very tiny hole in the wall restaurant that's been here for a very long time. Hard to seat more that 20 customers in here at the same time. Stopped in on a Wednesday for lunch and they offered a buffet on Wednesday to Friday. My first time here so I wanted to check out the menu. It was a wet miserable day so I ordered the large beef pho soup and a shrimp tempura appetizer and the green papaya salad. Pho was tasty but their large is like the medium at the Cranston or providence restaurants that serves pho. The shrimp tempura was really shrimp AND broccoli so don't think the whole dish landing on the table is all shrimp. Unfortunately the tempura batter was a doughy chewy mess. It was a very poor attempt on a tempura batter. Papaya salad was good full of flavor and spicy! The restaurant really started to fill up fast with regulars and they obviously know the setup and as soon as they come in they grab a plate and fill the plate before they even have been seated. So it's safe to say that they really like the buffet. read more

Idk what the hype is about but I came here cause I was super hungry and it's near my moms house I order the lad na special came with lost of seafood and meat but hardly any noodles and it cost $13.95 so not worth it the beef they use was overly salty you can literally taste the salt from the meat, my other complaint is the server she was super slow and kept forgetting things and people overall she was so slow seem like everything was in slow motion I swear I asked for my coffee like 5 times til she finally bought it out and said sorry we didn't have much left but I won't charge you lol I'm like ok why didn't she tell me thing from the beginning I ate my whole meal then I got my iced coffee overall bad service but my mom still orders their raw beef larb here as they are known to have the best in town but she orders it unseasoned cause she said they put too much msg. I love thai garden. I've been eating here for years, and the food is always delicious and authentic. I've taken friends and family here who aren't used to authentic asian places and would never have gone because of how low key it is, but they also loved it. Workers are always polite, and are willing to accommodate you, whether it be special sauces, substitutions, or needing your food to be a certain spice level. Their thai tea is top tier. The pad thai and chicken fingers are pretty basic on paper, but on another level here. This place is too good to pass up. read more
