I've been on the search for an eggplant grinder that has really thinly sliced pieces of eggplant. When I called Park Ave Pizza, the guy on the phone was really nice and assured me that he could slice it thin and that it was very good. The sandwich was pretty tasty, the eggplant crispy & fried but sadly not the style I've been looking for. I did unfortunately knock it down one star because they gave me a side of sauce which was super thoughtful and necessary for the sandwich but unfortunately it had meat in it and I'm vegetarian. I wish that I had asked about the sauce before leaving but I had assumed it would just be a marinara sauce. Everyone was friendly that worked there and the sandwich took about as long as they told me on the phone -15 minutes from when I ordered. It was pretty busy in there and the food smelled delicious. There are many pizza options in Woonsocket and I've probably had them all. Last night we desired pizza and decided to go back to Park Avenue Pizza. We ordered a small Veggie Pizza. We picked it up and it was ready exactly as promised. This pizza was one of the best veggie pizzas we have ever had. It was loaded with vegetables and was beyond expectations. I'm really sad to be this disappointed in potato skins. There's only like a dab of cheese in the center of what's practically just the skin. It's not even that hot. Mozzarella sticks and chicken fries were cold. I'm genuinely bummed because the last time I ordered from this place, I got an absolutely killer steak and cheese. It was just perf. I want to give this place another shot because everyone is stressed right now, but I'm going to tell my friends to skip the skins. This was sad. The food is pretty good, overall... our go-to's are the chicken parm dinner, the egg subs, cheese pizza, and chicken or steak kabob wrap. HOWEVER... my husband and I live close by and always place our order for pickup. Regardless of the time of day we call, how busy they are, or the contents of our order, we are automatically told on the phone that it will be ready in 20 minutes. They do not take a name, they do not provide an order number. After 25 minutes has passed from placing the call, we will leave the house to go pick it up, will go to the counter in which we need to tell them everything we ordered (since no name, no order number). Then we get to stand there awkwardly and wait, because it isn't ready. The staff is nice (albeit overworked) and they seriously need to put some kind of system in place for ordering. The fries are amazing. I think they may even be fresh hand cut which is rare for a pizza joint. I also got the steak and cheese quesadilla which was great. My brother lives in Woonsocket and one day I offered to grab a pizza on my way there. My sister-in-law told me that they only get pizza here. And I am not surprised why. They have great specials and their pizza is just right. Nothing overpowers the other items. Even the cheese pizza was phenomenonal, which I think is the real way to tell if a place is good. It's a typical pizza place. It's a storefront with some tables. But they seem to have a rather extensive menu. I might just offer to bring pizza over again in the near future. YUM! Living in the sticks, it's hard to find decent delivery. Took about 40 minutes (which was the anticipated wait time) and the food arrived hot and fresh. Buffalo chicken calzone was crispy but, not burnt and the fried raviolis were crunchy on the outside and gooey cheese inside. Mozzarella on the garlic sticks made them slightly soggy but, still tasty! The marinara on the side has meat in it and it is DELICIOUS!!! One of the better pizza places in Woonsocket. Park Ave has become our go to pizza place in the area. Their pizza is very good. It is not super greasy, the crust is fluffy with a slight crisp, and they put on a decent amount of toppings. Every time we have ordered from here they have been super consistent and the prices are very reasonable. Sometimes during peak time your order wont quite be ready when they say it would be so I normally show up 5 or 10 minutes after that time and it is normally ready. This place is very mediocre. I've ordered pizza here before but wasn't impressed. The pizza was barely average but it is close so I decided to give it another try. Disappointed again, the pizza was barely done and the flavor was bland for pepperoni and bacon. And to top things off the driver didn't have my two 20oz sodas which I asked him about and he said they weren't on his slip. Why he didn't question $14 for a small 2 topping pizzas I'll never understand. So after 2 more phone calls and another hour my sodas showed up. This pizza is just ok and the service is average. Ehhh park ave pizza.. i order from there last night and the food wasnt even all that. I had ordered a chicken alfredo with barely any sause on it. A meat ball sub that was melted and sticked against the wrapping paper so i couldnt even eat it plus they also skimped me on the sauce for that meat ball sub. And i also ordered a small pepperoni pizza, probably the only thing that was on point. And plus the delivery driver went to the WRONG house! We lived on 10th ave and he was at 5th. When he got here he was totally on something.. maybe coke by the way he was acting you can tell he wasnt fully there. The pizza there is pretty good, except the cheese feels like it just got out of the shower and the pepperoni is dry and crusty like it's been left out in the sun for a few days, like those dead worms you find in the street. I order from here often. Usually the food is good and there have been a few hiccups in service but nothing I couldn't overlook. However lately poor service has become more frequent. Whenever I call to place an order, they act like it's an inconvenience. They forget items or get the order wrong completely. Tonight I ordered food delivery for myself and my kids. Half of the food came. The driver went back for the rest and still stuff was missing. When I called, the person who answered argued with me about what I ordered because he misheard and didn't put the order in correctly. Then asked if I wanted to pay to reorder the missing food.
