I could've stopped there but we each ordered a meal and there was enough food for 8 people! It's nothing special, the regular menu items are slightly pricey but everything is these days. I'm not sure where I stand on this place I wanted to try it and it was underwhelming. Don't order the Mac n cheese as always.

Underground Chuck's is a fairly new restaurant. I placed a recent DoorDash order…read more I ordered the French Dip sandwich with French fries. The order was delivered quick and it was in a styrofoam container with the fries. Presentation-wise, it's a good looking sandwich. The sandwich comes with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions with a decent sized cup of dipping sauce. The French fries were good, nothing out of the ordinary. The French Dip sandwich tasted good but I found it a bit too fatty for my tastes. Some of the slices of meat were un-chewable. I don't think I would order again, although what I could chew was pretty good. The sandwich comes on a hoagie style roll. I give this order a solid three stars. It was okay but nothing stellar.

Our Dayton Chophouse is as nice as any in this small chain. My Ribeye varies from location and from visit - several better steaks in the area, but works well with my wife's chop. Servers are well trained and a pleasure to interact with. We always question management's practice of insisting that the server who takes the order delivers the meal - too time consuming especially when server is performing server duties.

The burger was cooked to my specifications and was really good. It was very thick and juicy juicy patty, on a quality bun with plenty of cheese. The fries were seasoned well but just okay. The order came with a pickle wedge and a cup of ketchup. Everything was packaged carefully in a nice container. I really enjoyed this burger and I highly recommend.

I ordered the chicken banh mi. The flavor profile with the spicy sauce alongside the crunchy veggies was very tasty. The restaurant is located in a strip mall area off of Stroop road. It's near the Vapor Haus vape shop and the Speedway gas station that sits at the corner of Stroop and Marshall Rd. If you pass that Speedway, you've gone too far. Inside, the restaurant has a typical sports bar vibe. It's well lit, clean but nothing spectacular. The menu does offer a variety of choices. Service is really good. We were seated fast and orders were taken shortly afterwards. I got the fish and chips. The deep fried fish was good but average in my opinion. The fries were tasty. It satisfied my hunger but it was just average to me. My girlfriend got the chili bowl with jalapeño cornbread. She liked it but again felt it was average fare. The portions are pretty big but bigger doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I will probably try again but I think the burgers are a better option than the fish and chips. There was a decent sized crowd here, so TJ Chumps is doing something right. I'd like to try some of their other menu choices. I recommend. The service is good and the wait crew enthusiastic.

The burger was slightly under seasoned, but it was thick and juicy, and overall pretty good. The mac wasn't bad, it just didn't quite taste the same, but the salad was crisp and fresh. I loved the old school supper club vibes -- low lighting, dark wood interior. Our server left a bit to be desired. She wasn't particularly engaged or helpful, and I had to ask her if I could provide my allergen information when placing our order because she didn't ask. I also had to ask for my horseradish sauce that I ordered when my entree arrived. I ordered my prime rib medium rare and it was more on the rare side, but not so much that I sent it back. There is a ton of food with each entree -- salad, sides, rolls. I loved the dill ranch dressing on the salad and would have taken a bottle of that to go. Server was agreeable about splitting the check a few ways, which was helpful. Overall, I can see the appeal as a Dayton institution, but this wouldn't be my first choice for a dinner out if I'm back in the area.
