My wife, family, mom, mother-in-law, aunt, and uncle all came out, we ordered what we felt was half the menu, LOL. Started off with some amazing cocktails and appetizers to get things rolling The sea bass and broccoli were the absolute stars. They were so good it was exactly what I came for. The pan-seared trout with au gratin potatoes slapped too. The creamy tomato linguine with chicken was one of those dishes you don't expect to be amazing...and then it is. We had a nice dinner at this location. Our server was very friendly and stayed quite attentive. We started with the bang, bang shrimp and some cocktails. I had the unicorn fish and shrimp. The fish was good maybe just a little overcooked and dry but still flavorful. The shrimp were great. I also had a side of the basmati rice which was perfectly prepared and the daily vegetable, which was broccoli that was definitely a little out of date and overcooked. Our server, although nice approached the table halfway through our entrées to inquire about dessert. It seemed a little bit early, but certainly made us consider dessert at a time that we were not prepared. They've been returned before we finished our entrées to ask if we were ready for the check. My girlfriend and I dined in this establishment recently. It's a classy atmosphere and the bathrooms were clean. It's part of the Dayton Mall complex but it is not inside the actual mall. Parking was plentiful with handicapped parking right near the front door. We both ordered the Fish and Chips. The restaurant also included an appetizer of focaccia bread with a garlic oil and pesto dip. The appetizer was very good and I really liked the garlic oil and pesto dip. The Fish and Chips order consisted of three good sized portions of fish, french fries, some tartar sauce, and a small cup of coleslaw. The fish was fried very good. It was golden but not greasy. The fries were typical french fries, nothing out of the ordinary, but they were good. The coleslaw was also good. Condiments of ketchup are available for the fries and vinegar for the fish. The dishes arrived with lemon wedges for seasoning the fish. I highly recommend. We both enjoyed our meal, our server was very attentive, and the restaurant has a nice vibe. I ordered the special of lime cilantro fish with seasonal vegetables. Like I said, great flavor, but both the corn (slightly mushy) and fish were overcooked. The Mrs. ordered the shrimp and scallops. Wow we wont be going back to Bonefish Grill anytime soon. We had a reservation because it was a weekend and we didn't want to take a chance on it being busy. It was cold and pouring the rain so my thoughtful husband dropped me off at the door and went to find parking. When i entered they claimed we didn't have a reservation ... I informed her i was sitting beside my husband when he called. She finally conceded they wrote the wrong name down .. no problem. By this time we were 3 minutes from our reservation time ... and my husband comes in a bit wet from the rain. They said we would have to go out to our car. I reminded her it was our reservation time and it was pouring the rain. She said they were backed up so we'd have to go out to our car. We informed her if she sent us out in the rain we would not be back EVER. She was fine with that. So we fought the rain and went down the road to a nice Italian meal and they took good care of us. I visited the bar at bonefish yesterday to meet up for appetizers and cocktails either a friend. I had forgotten how delicious Bang bang shrimp could be! We both ordered cocktails that were absolutely amazing. My French 75 was exceptional. But the best part of the experience was the exceptional service we received from Katie the bartender. She was warm and friendly, attentive but not hovering. Her drink making skill and suggestion to put the sauce on the side for the shrimp were perfect. This chain has always been one of my mother's favorites and I'm just now getting the chance to enjoy if myself. I visited around noon on a Sunday in early August. We called ahead to make a reservation just to be safe, but when we arrived we saw there was no need. There was only one other full table on the patio. So we were seated immediately. This also meant that we got the umbrella shade all to ourselves. Of it got crowded, you might not get any as there's not much of it. The other table happened to be pretty darn chatty, which slowed down our waitress from her first visit. But she was awesome! She was very understanding about our wanting to put an order in right away since we had two kiddos with us. The food cake out within fifteen minutes hot and just as we ordered it. We opted to share a bunch of sides and appetizers (from both the brunch and dinner menu). Cheesy seafood dip, bang bang shrimp, wontons, fries and a side of bacon. The wontons were definitely my favorite. They have a great sauce drizzled on top with some crunchy cabbage and onions. Bang Bang Shrimp was probably a close second for me. This was my first time visiting. After living on the Gulf Coast of Florida for many years and enjoying the fresh seafood there, I'm usually hesitant to visit a chan restaurant that specializes in seafood. With that said I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at Bonefish Grill. My wife and I met some friends here for dinner on a Saturday night. We had a reservation at 6:30 and were seated right on time. Drinks and bread came out quickly and we were thankful that our server did not pressure us to order as we sat and talked with our friends for around 30 minutes before ordering our main courses. We did order appetizers about 15 minutes after our arrival. I chose the Chilean Sea Bass with steamed broccoli and potatoes au gratin as my main course and sides. The sea bass was delicious. It was tender and flaky with a nice outer crust and a hint of smoke. I chose the mango salsa as my "sauce" which was sweet and tangy. The potatoes were good and the broccoli was over cooked and mushy. Next time I'll pass on the broccoli and try a different side. Overall, our service was outstanding. As mentioned earlier there was never any pressure to hurry, our server was friendly, efficient, and seemed to check on on us always at the right time. I do like eating at Bonefish but my last time there was not the best. I always love the house salad and the bread. But I can't help but notice that the portion size has gone down and the prices are way up! I got the special which was a butter fish. The fish it self was literally 3 bites with like 10 pieces of fries and some broccoli. That was $30! Our server was awesome and so was the bartender.
