Gnocchi with Beef In Marinara Sauce WE know that often Argentine restaurants offer pasta dishes. We arranged to arrive ten minutes early in order to converse with Mónica Fabregat. Well worth the planning and effort. Mónica was delighted to learn that we have visited Argentina and experienced the people, cuisine, beauty, and various wineries. Always a pleasure to visit with Monica. Today: Gnocchi with Beef In Marinara Sauce - solid five stars. Monica advised that they do not prepare gnocchi; I recall days when my Italian wife and mother rolled gnocchi in the kitchen. Monica does not lose points for purchase of gnocchi. We have traveled to Argentina and Italy and know the restaurants do not apply marina at the liberal rate experienced in US, but they will add more upon request. I would eat this all over again tomorrow. Ohmigosh I love empanadas but these Argentinian authentic ones are the best I've ever had. I ordered the pulled chicken and cheese, the 5 cheese and the beef with olives. The empanadas were cooked perfectly, hot, fresh, crispy and not greasy at all. The pulled chicken was moist and flavorful. The 5 cheese was delectable, but my favorite was the beef...perfectly seasoned, with green olives, diced egg, it was stellar. The service was wonderful, the owner came out and gave us a warm welcome. She also recommended a dessert empanada, "Chocotella" with bananas and Nutella inside. SO GOOD! Steak was cooked perfectly! The food was delicious, honestly no complaints. I loved every moment of it. I will be coming back trying new things! First time having Argentinian food and it definitely impressed! The owners and staff are more than willing to explain everything and give recommendations. The decor is pretty and eclectic, casual enough to stop in but could also show up to celebrate an occasion! The salad was very unique with potato crisps on top. They also have a beet & boiled egg dish that is a traditional side; kinda reminded me of pickled eggs without the spice! The empanada was perfectly crispy and Delicious. We had such a great experience at La Embajada! The food was incredible -- fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic Argentinian cuisine. Every dish we tried was delicious and beautifully prepared. What really made the meal special though, was the staff and owner. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and the owner went completely above and beyond. She personally came over to introduce herself, made sure we were enjoying everything, and even brought out Legos for my child to play with so we could relax and enjoy our meal. That level of kindness and thoughtfulness is rare. La Embajada isn't just a great restaurant -- it's a place that makes you feel genuinely cared for. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend! This is our second visit to La Embajada. We knew going in to expect a slower pace. We ordered everything at once this evening. The meal was delicious. My favorites are the yuca fries and side salad. There were two sausages and both were flavorful. The steak was cooked well and we both saved that for last. I wanted dessert but it was late. Next time I'll get the chocolate empanada. The decor makes it feel very homey yet elevated. The ladies are both so friendly & welcoming. Authentic Argentinian food in the area for two years. We are so happy we found this little gem located in a strip mall on the corner. It was around 5 pm when we stopped in and there was one other party there. It did get a little busy while we were eating but the noise level remained low despite the smaller size. The service was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. They serve beer and wine and have an extensive menu as well. We both had empanadas and there are vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. We were served our food by the owner herself who was thoughtful, helpful, and full of energy. It was our anniversary so we had dessert (churro and a chocolate empanada). This is a cozy upscale feeling location that felt open and welcoming. We ordered a variety of empanadas and kabobs along with yuca fries and Armenian. All was tasty and enjoyed. The feel of this place is fun and the owners are very energetic. They didn't have their soul as it was taken off unless it's winter. I was disappointed by this because I love their corn soup. Hooray, they are no longer "underground" and have a beautiful place! We came here after an afternoon movie at Cinepolis. As a hearing impaired person, I appreciate the investment in sound tiles and beautiful & relaxing piano music (played by owner Monica's husband ) so we could hear our conversation and our terrific server, Diana. Oh, and the foooooood! We split the steak sampler among 4 of us, plus several empanadas and couple other appetizers. Everything was wonderful! The steak was cooked to medium, still very good though next time I'll remember to ask for it more rare. I've been searching for a good chimichuri sauce (granted, not many choices in Dayton) since we moved from TX and found it here! Both Monica and Diana were super friendly and food came out quickly. Yuca, strip loin steak, beer short ribs (flanked style), Argentinian chorizo, and yes of course they have Empanadas (sooo good). It sits in a tiny (yet newer) strip mall, so it can be easy to overlook and pass up on, but you'd be making a big mistake. Seriously you'll love this more than the Roosters that is always packed and a block away. La Embajada should always be packed, because there is nothing else like it in Dayton and they deliver with extraordinary taste, friendly service and a great establishment., You'll come in to a beautiful and quaint decor that just breathes relaxing. They even have some games you can take to your table and play and some cute artisan products to purchase. They have a decent beer list and coffee or espresso. But back to these Empanadas, you can get three for 12.99 and you can choose from about 15 different varieties and let me tell you, WOW, are they good. The empanadas are packed with taste and 3 is enough for sure as a meal if you also choose to get an appetizer (you'll be fine). Plus a bonus you can buy them frozen and take them home to cook there, isn't that great? Come give La Embajada a try it is worth every bite and every smile each bite produces. 9/29/23 I came here for my second time with my husband for our weekly date night. We were greeted upon entry and seated quickly. This time we decided to dine inside and ordered: The trio variety of empanadas: beef, chicken, and pernil. The pernil empanada was our favorite. We also ordered Tira de asado (beef short ribs) that came with the remolacha salad. We also ordered 1 of each of their sauces: chimichurri, Chimi-hot sauce, and the provencal. Our favorite was the chimi- hot sauce, it isn't spicy but it is very flavorful. The owners here are so friendly, and very welcoming. We were even given a dessert of the chocolate empanada to sample as we were too indecisive to pick. Overall, it was a great experience and we plan to return here again in the near future. read more

sorry to say it was very disappointing and over priced. we got simple spiced potatoes and sausage ring with creamed spinach. potatoes had surface spice and nothing else (just heat no flavor). the sausage was grainy and the spinach was bland spinach and cream cheese. really would expect more for $40 plus per person. read more

REAL Argentinian food! I had the Argentinian chorizo with rice and black beans. Chorizo has good flavor and just enough spice to let you know it is there. I could eat that rice all by itself. Right behind my table, there was a sign saying that if you didn't like empanadas, you needed your head examined. If you don't like the empanadas here that's certainly true. They're tiny, maybe three fingers put together, but packed with flavor. I got taconada, chorizo, and turkey. The turkey was basically a Thanksgiving empanada, with cranberries and stuffing. With it being a week away, how could I not? They have 23 different empanadas - I didn't count, the little old lady who owns the place said that; and added that she knew of restaurants back home that had twice as many. They'll make one out of anything that walks, flies, or swims, she said. As good as the food was, she was just adorable. Although the restaurant is intimate they were able to accommodate a reservation for 10. The table was ready when we arrived and they took our order as we came. They made thoughtful suggestions and the food came out hot and delicious. I ordered the short ribs and they were fantastic as were the fries. The have other things but we have always got 3 small empanadas and once tried the dessert empanada that was pretty amazing. great service and cute little place. So give them a try if your in the area. They did even offer vegetarian empanadas if that is your thing. I think my wife did one of the vegetarian ones and loved it. my only complaint is sometimes they aren't as crispy as we like but haven't tried requesting they be crispy. read more

I am from Argentina which means I love argentinian food and I have been looking for a good place to eat when I'm craving food from back home... but... The service was really bad, the waitress took a very long time to even ask what drinks we wanted, even thought the place was empty, and when she did come ask, she did it in a very demeaning and impulsive way. The food was not cooked correctly and even the ketchup packets were expired, "mucusy" and disgusting... Because of the bad service we did not leave a big tip and the waitress didn't like it so she just gave it back to us in a very angry and demeaning way... again. In 2021, I underwent something of a job shift, going from non-profit fundraising research to foreign military sales at Wright-Patterson AFB. Because of this, I was lucky enough to take a business trip to Santiago, Chile last November. Believe me when I say--La Embajada is as good or better than anything I ate while in Santiago itself. Yes, Chile vs Argentina-- they share a massive border and many culinary cultural touchstones. But more than anything, La Embajada left me feeling the same way Straits of Malacca had me feeling years ago about Malay food. The empanadas were crisp, flavorful, and unctuous. The mixed grill that my wife and I shared was sublime, especially the marinated beef short rib. The sides were fresh and vibrant, and the sangria made a perfect complement. I cannot recommend this place more highly. The owner/host treated us like long-lost family and the food is out of this world. Not only is La Embajada worth 5 stars, they're now sitting in my upper echelons of restaurants all time. Phenomenal! read more
