Bar Granada is a cool modern bar/restaurant in Downtown Dayton. The space itself is stunningly beautiful and very inviting. It has a very upscale feel to it. The staff are very friendly and great with explaining the menu and drink options. The menu is somewhat limited/small with a South American theme but it seems that they've hit gold with the selections on offer. We started with the Guacamole and it was delicious, fresh and bursting with flavor. For entree I had the Birria Bowl and it was pretty great. It definitely was not a traditional Birria which is very stew like but still delicious. Overall I will definitely be back to Bar Granada and I'd absolutely recommend them.

Not even officially open and very busy! Great service and wine. Fun place for a light tapas dinner and some Vino from Spain.

Looking to try something new, we stopped by Bar Granada for a late dinner/drinks. Walking in, you got a dark-yet-neon vibe--very cool. The bar was stocked with many tequila choices (they even offer tequila tastings) and offered a customizable menu of arepas, tacos, and bowls. I ordered the pineapple jalapeño marg, barbacoa arepa, and fried plantains. Everything was so delicious and chalked full of flavor. Ample street parking out front in the evening. I will be returning.

I want to love this place. It's new and local owned. The location has parking behind it and on street (if you're lucky) Pay with cash on way out of the lot. The restaurant decor and service was great. We are at the bar. They have several nice TVs which is a plus when it comes to my hubby. On to the food...we had the calamari rings with lemon. Delicious! Next we had Croquetas ...mushroom and also the chicken ones. Lacking in flavor is the worst I can say. Presented lovely though. Please, make your own decision with these and there are others to choose from. No entree here, just small plates.

We have been sitting here for over 30 minutes waiting for our server to bring our bill. This is the WORST service in the city of Dayton!!

Hell, we're still sussing out the Colombian vs. Venezuelan arepa rivalry. But the arepa pabellon at Arrechissimo (this apparently means "awesome" in Venezuelan Spanish) wins the prize for us so far, and it's not even close. Even if it initially seems expensive at $13.50, it is a near-miraculous little food item, regardless of one's knowledge about arepas generally. It's perfect in its simplicity and greater than the sum of its parts: Wonderful white-corn flatbread style rolls with a great balance of fluffy and crisp, flavorful shredded beef, fried plantains, black beans, and melted mild cheese. Add the spicy cilantro salsa, which is just about perfect in its own right. By the way, despite its compact size, the arepa pabellon is plenty filling. Arrechissimo is just a food stand with maybe four outdoor tables. The setting in quiet Deer Park is pleasant and comfortable enough, when the weather is reasonably nice. Unfortunately for us, Arrechissimo is far enough away that carryout is not a suitable option during those too-many months when Cincinnati weather is not so nice. Owner Javier is about as welcoming and friendly a host as there is in the metro.

We didn't realize that when we decided to go. However, they do have 3 or 4 outdoor tables. Right beside the tables are very sturdy extendable umbrellas that they can open to shade you whenever you want. Their food is handmade, fresh and delicious. Got a vegetarian bowl with rice, beans, plantains, lettuce, and avocado slices accompanied by 2 small arepas. The arepas and empanadas seemed to be made from the same dough and it's a good thing because it is extremely mouth-watering - yum! Kudos to the owner. He is the nicest man - friendly, and really cares about his customers.

YE Gurl Says: Some Food Is Worth the Extra 30 Minutes at Cilantro Latin Fusion…read more Some recommendations stick with you. I was first introduced to Cilantro Latin Fusion by a fellow Yelper who also happens to be a former chef. When someone with that kind of palate tells you, "You need to try this," you listen. She ordered me the Vegan Arepa, and I'm not exaggerating when I say...It changed my life. Fast forward to a day off while I was running errands on that side of town. The craving hit, so I pulled up my phone to order. Only one problem. I was minutes away from the food truck... but online ordering was only available through the Sawmill Road restaurant. Thirty minutes away. But I did not turn around. I drove for the meal. Walking into the restaurant, I was greeted by Spanish conversations filling the room, families enjoying lunch, and an atmosphere that felt authentic and lived-in. I'm pretty sure everyone assumed I was picking up for Uber Eats. LOL Well maybe the curly hair had them a bit confused. Every bag in my hands was for me. And honestly, that's one of my favorite kinds of places--the restaurants where the local community clearly supports them first. That's usually a very good sign. Here's what came home with me: Vegan Arepa Filled with sautéed king oyster mushrooms, sweet fried plantains, avocado, and their addictive green sauce. This is the sandwich that started it all for me. The mushrooms bring a satisfying, meaty texture without pretending to be meat, while the sweetness of the plantains balances the creamy avocado and bright sauce perfectly. Back to Life Arepa Loaded with their seafood cocktail and avocado mash. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly the kind of seafood-forward option I appreciate as a pescatarian. Chaufa Lunch Bowl Peruvian-style fried rice with sesame oil, king oyster mushrooms, vegetables, sweet plantains, and yuca fries. Comfort food with layers of flavor. I devoured the lunch bowl immediately. The arepas? I brought those home for the beau. One disappeared at lunch. The second became dinner alongside the fries and soup. Nothing survived the day. YE Gurl Insight: Some restaurants don't need flashy marketing because the food does all the talking. You can tell when a place is cooking for its community first instead of chasing trends. Those are usually the places worth seeking out. Final Take: * Incredible vegetarian and seafood options * Authentic Latin flavors * Excellent value for the portions * Worth the drive--even if it's 30 minutes * One of Columbus' hidden gems for arepas YE Gurl Says: If you've never had an arepa, let Cilantro Latin Fusion be your introduction. Order the Vegan Arepa. Then order another one... because someone at home is probably going to ask for a bite.
