Five stars primarily due to our fantastic server, Eric! Came here for brunch to celebrate a friends birthday and was provided very friendly and upbeat service. For brunch, there were tables set up for dining along with a dance floor and a DJ playing a variety of music. By 3pm the dance floor was fully occupied which created a lively atmosphere. I am on a health journey. And on rest days, I am still suppose to move to make them active rest days so I go out to dance finding a Zumba movement in clubs. A co-worker recommended this joint and I went to see, so I could experience it and then be able to see what he was talking about not, just not hear about it. Not quite trust but verify, but hear and experience. I went in around 10 and the club was mildly crowded but still crowded enough for the dance floor to be alive. It was a toddler dancing to the Macarena not yet a dance breaker in full backspin. I danced alone. Movement was the mission. This girl with a sash ( she was the birthday girl, or a bride to be, or a pageant winner, the less likely option) started to dance feet away from me. She started to mirror my movements. She started to mirror my music induced convulsions. I got shy. I was seen. I closed my eyes to feel the song on my skin, through out my blood and cells so my thoughts could be silenced and when I opened them I continued to see her mirror my moves. She was vibing with me. The joint had spirit that connected us both. Or maybe the girl just was down to have a good time, when she saw another down for the same. Eventually the dance floor did become a vibrant pulse--- it was a crowd full of revelers, dancing, swaying, searching, in a phrase the dance floor had become a singular movement of pump and purpose. I was now less seen. I turned to the wonder of the place and saw some bounces (staff) dancing, but not really. They were mimicking movement of dance but in a humorous way. The spirit of the joint had made some workers dance with glee. I wish I could dance at work, with glee. But I have an office job. If I tap my pen too harshly with enthusiasm, I become too loud. It made me envious for a second. I was positively jealous with green, then red, then yellow, then white. The place has bustling lights as well. I did not drink on this night, not because I took an oath, but because I had pre-gamed earlier at another local bar. I did not try the drinks but I definitely want too, next time I go. I just happened to be my own driver that night, and you know, I cant be on the road while even tipsy cause then I would be doing something wrong, not only for myself but for others. And I try to avoid that, when I can. What I appreciated a lot about this place, is that it had tables that were usually there for eating. So when I was tired, and needed a sit, I could easily find one. I was part of the crowd and the music, in the thick of it, at times, while others I was a viewer of the movement. I was able to be the Ying and Yang of the club, by way of space. This place is a small club but is mighty in punch and bounce. Go here, especially, if you are looking for more than just movement. Go here if you are looking for all the regular things that a club offers and you are in a place of your life stage where you can fully appreciate all those things. read more

If I could give this bar 0 stars I would. This club is absolutely terrible. The worst thing about this club is the terrible security. My friend was getting harassed and got threatened by a guy at the bar, and I went to tell security, and he told me that there wasn't anything he could do about the guy. And the security guard made up a lie that my friend was dancing with the guy who was harassing her but she wasn't! She was dancing with our group and he got behind her and she immediately stopped dancing to come toward me as I was at the bar, and he followed her. And that's when he harassed her for her number and when she said no he threatened her. The security guard was Caucasian, heavy set and I believe he had a beard but I can't remember. Seeing the reviews of this place and what we experienced, I would not recommend this place to any woman. The security here DO NOT care about your safety. read more

We had one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional experiences I've ever had at a club/lounge. From the moment we arrived, we were a calm, respectful group simply enjoying our time. However, things quickly took a turn when the owner, Jack, approached us. He stood uncomfortably close, less than three feet away, for a good five minutes, just staring at us without saying a word. It was unsettling, and when we politely let him know that he was making us feel uncomfortable, instead of addressing it like a professional, he escalated the situation. Not even two minutes later, he instructed one of the security guards to escort one of us out for absolutely no reason while saying the rest could stay. The implication was clear, they wanted to split up our group and intimidate us. We all chose to leave immediately because we refused to let our friend be singled out. This place lacks basic hospitality, respect, and professionalism. The owner's behavior was creepy, invasive, and entirely uncalled for. If you value a safe, welcoming environment when you're out with friends, this is not the place. Where do I start. I was really looking forward to their Sunday night jazz dinner. Checked in at 5:45, was seated in the reserve outdoor patio. The band had already set up. Everything was going well. Ordered the sangria and margarita drink that came with the dinner special. I got the Cesar salad and it was ehhh dry and old lettuce. My boyfriend got the minestrone soup which was plain as eating from a can. Dinner came like 35 min. After o got the chicken marsala and my boyfriend got the iron steak dish. When the bill came they charged for my white Sangria $8 one coke $3.50, and crime brûlée $9 tell me why that ish was $40 this place automatically puts a 18% tip on your bill already,and tax. I have lived in oldtown pasadena for 10 years and i've never liked the vibe of this bar just from seeing it from across the street. There is always police presence right in front because there are ALWAYS fights breaking out! The bouncers cant keep people contained and it spews into the rest of pleasant OldTown Pasadena. When I confronted the bouncers and bartenders to ask if anyone had returned my phone they said that it was not their problem and to go speak to the police outside. After I had went outside to speak to the police (they also told me they couldn't do anything because they were only there to " stop any brawls from moving into the public") my friends phone was ALSO stolen OUT OF HER HAND while she was calling my phone to try and find it. When i brought this up to the bouncers they said they saw someone run out of the doors minutes before i walked up to him. So I want to know! I came on a friday night with my friend for some much needed girl time. It happened to be mariachi night, which I guess they do every Friday night at 7pm. Cameron was our server and not only is he handsome but very attentive. We ordered the Brussel sprouts which were 10/10 I'd order them again and again!
