Ivy Builders is the best! I was looking to do something different in the backyard and I'm glad I went with them. They helped me plan out a nice grill spot I could use for parties and family stuff. Michael was super helpful with every step of the way. They took care of business and honestly I don't think I could be any happier with how great everything came out.

Before you hire "The Catio Guy" or "Catopia" give Ivy Builders a call. We wanted to enclose an already covered patio and turn it into a catio. We contacted several companies that either couldn't build it , didn't want to or were overly expensive. Ivy took on the challenge by taking our rudimentary drawing, asking questions, taking measurements and building us a gem. The team of Michael, Matt, and Nick took our ideas and gave us an estimate. They were also in daily communication with us whether in person or via text. They sent Fernando and Steven to do the work. These two guys do exceptional work. Fernando can take a concept of an idea and build just what you were looking for. He and Steven worked many days in the heat only stopping for a quick lunch. (And, maybe, a Home Depot run) They are professional, organized, friendly, open to changes and suggestions and extremely skilled. Fernando had enclosed a patio before but had not built perches or bridges. He even did some of the building at home and would show up with exactly what we had in mind. They tossed trash and cleaned up daily. We and the cats love the final product.

At one time there was one company that I would always use to assemble furniture for me, but I no longer use that company. L&P Development is now the company that I contact whenever I need something assembled. Their quotes have always been lower than the other quotes on Yelp. I also like how the owner personally answers the Yelp messages within a timely manner. The technician (Miles) called before coming to my house to inform me that he was on his way. The item that he had to assemble was defective from the shipping, but he was able to resolve the problem. I was very happy with L&P Development's technician. In fact, I just scheduled another appointment. Kudos to L&P Development and Miles! UPDATE: The first time around, I gave L&P Development 5 stars. The second time around, I am giving 5 stars again! I have now used L&P Development for the second time. This time, I was fortunate to have Gerrit as the technician. Gerrit was AWESOME! He had a WONDERFUL personality. Service with a SMILE!... I ended up giving Gerrit the amount that was previously quoted by someone else that was higher than L&P Development, because he went over and beyond. I would highly recommend L&P Development.

I am extremely impressed with L and P Development. Gerrit called me days ahead of schedule to confirm the appointment and then called to let me know her was on his way. He arrived early, broke the ice with humor and went straight to work on my spin bike. He was able to trouble shoot the problem with the design which affected the function of the spin bike. Most service providers would have suggest a contact to the manufactures about the screeching sound against the bike frame. Gerrit went to his truck and returned with an additional tool to eliminate the noise. I plan on using L and P Development for other repairs and part which need assembling in the near future.

I was very weary about the Amazon install service reading a bunch of bad experiences but went ahead and ordered it. L&P was on point even though I had to reschedule 3x due to Amazon shipping a damaged grill, then sending a stationary training bike and then UPS leaving my grill at the warehouse on the 3rd attempt. Gerrit was straight up awesome he removed my old grill which we thought we needed to shut off the gas to the house but he did it in 10 mins without problem. He put the grill together in a no time. Definitely will use him for other things that may come up and that they can handle and definitely recommend their services. They are prompt, friendly, courteous and about their business!

Gerrit was great! I ordered a new BBQ grill from amazon and L&P set up the assembly service. O& P called me the day before and the day of the service to confirm best time to arrive, and even though I couldn't find the the manual (not sure if even came in the box), he was able to assemble my new grill super fast! I wish I could give Ivy's Builders ten stars because five simply isn't enough! They just finished a complete gut-and-remodel of our Newport Beach home and the transformation is absolutely breathtaking. From the moment we signed the contract to the day they handed us the keys, everything was flawless. Communication was incredible - we got daily photo updates, weekly walkthroughs, and they actually answered texts and calls, even on weekends when I was second-guessing tile selections. Their in-house designer has an amazing eye; she helped us create a coastal-modern look that feels fresh yet completely livable, and the finished house looks straight out of a magazine while still feeling like home. The craftsmanship is honestly museum-quality. Every subcontractor was clearly top-tier - the tile work is perfectly level, the custom cabinetry and built-ins are flawless, the new wide-plank European oak floors glow, and the paint finish doesn't have a single imperfection. We now have our dream kitchen with a massive island, La Cornue range, and a hidden pantry, plus a spa-like primary bath with the freestanding tub we always wanted overlooking the yard. Most importantly, they finished on time and stayed remarkably close to budget with almost no surprise change orders. The crew protected our floors like Fort Knox, cleaned up every single day, and were genuinely friendly and respectful the entire time. Just realized that this never posted, but I did want to ensure I left a review because I still remember how amazing the service was! I loved the service so much the first time around that I decided to continue using L&P for my dining table. Evan and his assistant Simone came to assemble my table and were kind and professional. The dynamic duo finished the job incredibly fast. They also cleaned up the surrounding area and removed the boxes from my apartment. The table looks amazing and I couldn't be more pleased. Garrit was highly professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job mounting our two tvs. One thing to know is that this company does not do electrical work, so we will have to have an outlet installed behind the tv by someone else to hide the cord. I forgot to previously also mention this table gerrit put together for us. Amazon didn't ask if we needed assembly but it doesn't matter because now we just go straight to L&P for any assembly request or office updates. While gerrit was there we realized we also needed a tv stand to be put up so I asked gerrit if it was possible. Luckily. Erika (Who is so nice and pleasant to work with for appointments) was able to adjust our request and add on the service. We felt accomplished. Thanks L&P!!!. read more

This was a really easy appointment! Despite all the delays in receiving the headboard from Amazon L&P was really great in contacting me and being patient with it. Once the headboard finally arrived they were at my door the next day and Dylan had it installed in less than hour. I would recommend them! We had a couple of items that need to be fixed from ikea. 2 headboards and 2 dressers. Gerrit was the man that built our things, and he was absolutely fantastic. First of all, he was on time which is very important and did things very efficiently. He was extremely friendly and and was also very friendly with my dog. As a dog owner I'm always worried about people coming into my home with a dog, but he was extremely cool and friendly about it. Overall, fantastic service and he did a terrific job with the items. A bit pricey. As the 4 items cost around $350. But, service was fantastic! read more

He was great at explaining the work he was going to do which involved completely redoing the lawn irrigaiton and replacing our garden irrigation with drip irrigation. We also added controllers with timers and after talking with Zach upgraded to the ones with the app. A couple of weeks after the work was done, Zach stopped by to check on how the plants were doing and made adjustments to the watering schedule. We are so happy with the work that was done and can already see the improvement in our landscaping with more regular watering. I would highly recommend Zach and Surf N Turf Landscaping.

They called to confirm my TV mounting appointment and told me the window of time the installer would be coming would be on the earlier end between 2-5pm. Day of, someone calls me to let me know my installer will be coming closer to the later end of my time slot due to last minute additions to the work order appointment before mine. Gerrit Arends, the installer, also called me around this time to let me know he would be coming later due to changes to the work order of the appointment before mine. He was very professional and let me know he will be calling me again when he is headed to my place. When he was done at his previous appointment, he called me to let me know he was on the way and about 4 miles away. Once here, he quickly went to work. It took him about 25 minutes to complete the job. Gerrit did an awesome job - he consulted with me about the height and position on the wall and left the place clean. The team arrived when expected and was friendly and patient considering the manufacturer didn't have all the right parts in the box to assemble my desk. I returned the desk and L&P was on it to check in with me during the week when the new one would arrive to coordinate their assembly. Same team came back a week later and once again they went right to work while I worked on my laptop. Again, they noticed, when almost finished the top part of the desk had been damaged. I recently had Jason from L&P Development come to my house to assemble an exercise bike I bought through Amazon. Amazon recommended the company. First of all, the customer service with L&P is first rate. The office called to confirm the bike had been delivered and schedule the appointment to assemble. They sent me a picture of Jason, the person who would be coming to my home. They said he would call to advise me when he was in route. Jason did call with an ETA. Jason arrived on time and proved to be technically competent at the assembly process. He was conscientious and friendly. To start I received multiple emails confirming the time they would be arriving (which was exactly the time I requested!) and the day before Erica called to confirm all of the details. She reiterated we would only be charged when the service was competed. She super friendly and professional. William called before he arrived and when he got here he was fantastic. I had to call the office to change the date of service and their staff was very friendly and helpful. My service technician Evan called me 20 minutes ahead of time indicating he was about 20 minutes away. He arrived right on time and promptly went to work assembling my desk. He took the time to point out a minor flaw in one of the drawers asking if I would like to send the desk back because of it. This was after he had worked on it for an hour....the flaw was barely noticeable and I said it was fine. But it impressed me that he had the honesty to point it out. Marcus did an awesome job installing my 43" tv to the wall. The tv mount that I bought did not have the right size nuts/bolts/washers for my tv and he took his time sorting through a ton of pieces I had to figure out how to make it work properly. He said not to worry if he didn't find the right pieces, I could go and buy them and then he'd come back. But, he used what I had and really secured the TV to the wall and made sure I was happy with the placement before he actually hung it. L&P made the scheduling of the appointment very easy and they were flexible. very helpful! We selected L & P through Amazon Home Services to assemble an exercise bike. Gerrit is the technician that showed up. He quickly found that a some parts were missing and one part was even broken. Needless to say, he could not finish the assembly but took the time to explain to me how to communicate with the manufacturer to solve the problem. He was very patient and helpful. After the new equipment arrived, Jason was the next technician to show up after the replacement equipment arrived. Just as with Gerritt, he was very pleasant. Thank god Jason was able to fix the mess I created from my failed attempt at building my tv stand. Since the product I ordered was cheaply made, I was worried it was beyond salvaging. But luckily Jason was able to repair it. Jason called thirty minutes prior to arriving, allowing me plenty of time to make sure I was home. He was fast, professional, and careful not to damage the floors or walls in my home. He cleaned up all trash and boxes. There is honestly no reason for me to attempt building anything after this. I told him the color for my house. He brought a sample. It did not match. So he did a color match and came with correct color next day. He hung around maybe 30 minutes to confirm it would dry to correct color even though I told him it was no necessary. They broke a sprinkle head and replaced it without me asking. I thought it was a bit pricey until I saw all the bad wood they replaced and all the extra effort they put into making sure there was a good water barrier. They took down awnings and put them back. Small crew of 3. Very polite. Worked hard. Very happy with result. They kept to their schedule. They gave me heads up that they had personal business one day but they came in on Saturday to complete. Almost forgot. A week later I asked if I could have the sample paint that did not match because I thought it would match another area of the house I could touch up. He brought it over the next day with no problem. I think most people would not have done that. There was nothing in it for him but a good review.

We contracted Avorino to put an ADU in the backyard of one of our property. Our experience has been…read morenot short of Good, Bad and Ugly. First the Good: Owner Raja was warm and friendly. Coordinator Jay was a gem. She worked to keep everything going on time. The team worked efficiently to get the work done. Now the Bad: I did not know I had to buy everything from windows to doors to sinks to vanities. That is at least 10% of the contract value. Finally the Ugly: I did not know I have to find separate contractors for awnings, solar panels and the driveway. I think that is too much for a person who is not working in the construction business to negotiate all those subcontracts.

Mike came over and walked through the attic with me and explained to me why I didn't need to do that since the trusses and cords provided sufficient support. Another contractor was going to charge thousands of dollars to put in a beam. Mike didn't charge me anything to evaluate my situation even though his recommendations didn't get him a job. He saved me a lot of money and trouble down the road.

I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! I highly recommend hiring them for your next project! They did a great job. I ultimately went over budget but that's totally expected (and totally on me)! Thank you Frame Build & Design!

When I first met Daniel, he asked me questions about my house project that no one else had. He…read morewanted to know what I was envisioning and the style. He asked me very detailed questions that I hadn't thought about yet. I knew that he was detail-oriented and that he was already invested in my project even though I hadn't given him the go-ahead. I planned to do a room addition, which required an architect and getting those plans approved by the city. He took care of all the back and forth so that my focus could be on other aspects of the project. I had walls knocked down, a window put in, and new walls built. I added some aesthetic upgrades, which he took care of quickly. Daniel always responded quickly anytime I reached out to him. I was never stressed about the project, and he made sure to stop by regularly to look at the work that was done. He even noticed things that I hadn't and made sure the crew came back to correct them. Daniel is the lead that you want handling your project. I highly recommend him and his team and would use him again.
