At one time there was one company that I would always use to assemble furniture for me, but I no longer use that company. L&P Development is now the company that I contact whenever I need something assembled. Their quotes have always been lower than the other quotes on Yelp. I also like how the owner personally answers the Yelp messages within a timely manner. The technician (Miles) called before coming to my house to inform me that he was on his way. The item that he had to assemble was defective from the shipping, but he was able to resolve the problem. I was very happy with L&P Development's technician. In fact, I just scheduled another appointment. Kudos to L&P Development and Miles! UPDATE: The first time around, I gave L&P Development 5 stars. The second time around, I am giving 5 stars again! I have now used L&P Development for the second time. This time, I was fortunate to have Gerrit as the technician. Gerrit was AWESOME! He had a WONDERFUL personality. Service with a SMILE!... I ended up giving Gerrit the amount that was previously quoted by someone else that was higher than L&P Development, because he went over and beyond. I am extremely impressed with L and P Development. Gerrit called me days ahead of schedule to confirm the appointment and then called to let me know her was on his way. He arrived early, broke the ice with humor and went straight to work on my spin bike. He was able to trouble shoot the problem with the design which affected the function of the spin bike. Most service providers would have suggest a contact to the manufactures about the screeching sound against the bike frame. Gerrit went to his truck and returned with an additional tool to eliminate the noise. I plan on using L and P Development for other repairs and part which need assembling in the near future. read more

I was very weary about the Amazon install service reading a bunch of bad experiences but went ahead and ordered it. L&P was on point even though I had to reschedule 3x due to Amazon shipping a damaged grill, then sending a stationary training bike and then UPS leaving my grill at the warehouse on the 3rd attempt. Gerrit was straight up awesome he removed my old grill which we thought we needed to shut off the gas to the house but he did it in 10 mins without problem. He put the grill together in a no time. Definitely will use him for other things that may come up and that they can handle and definitely recommend their services. They are prompt, friendly, courteous and about their business! read more

Gerrit was great! I ordered a new BBQ grill from amazon and L&P set up the assembly service. O& P called me the day before and the day of the service to confirm best time to arrive, and even though I couldn't find the the manual (not sure if even came in the box), he was able to assemble my new grill super fast! Garrit was highly professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job mounting our two tvs. One thing to know is that this company does not do electrical work, so we will have to have an outlet installed behind the tv by someone else to hide the cord. Otherwise, we had a great customer service experience and would call again. read more

I forgot to previously also mention this table gerrit put together for us. Amazon didn't ask if we needed assembly but it doesn't matter because now we just go straight to L&P for any assembly request or office updates. While gerrit was there we realized we also needed a tv stand to be put up so I asked gerrit if it was possible. Luckily. Erika (Who is so nice and pleasant to work with for appointments) was able to adjust our request and add on the service. We felt accomplished. Thanks L&P!!!. read more

This was a really easy appointment! Despite all the delays in receiving the headboard from Amazon L&P was really great in contacting me and being patient with it. Once the headboard finally arrived they were at my door the next day and Dylan had it installed in less than hour. I would recommend them! I will also be calling them when I need to mount a flat screen on the wall. read more

We had a couple of items that need to be fixed from ikea. 2 headboards and 2 dressers. Gerrit was the man that built our things, and he was absolutely fantastic. First of all, he was on time which is very important and did things very efficiently. He was extremely friendly and and was also very friendly with my dog. As a dog owner I'm always worried about people coming into my home with a dog, but he was extremely cool and friendly about it. Overall, fantastic service and he did a terrific job with the items. A bit pricey. As the 4 items cost around $350. But, service was fantastic! read more

Overall a 5 stars experience. They contacted me withing 10 hours after the order and scheduled the appointment for the time spot that I asked for. one day earlier to the appointment they called to confirm, and make sure the mount has arrived The technician itself was great! I think his name was Tom, young and very nice gentleman, mounted my tv within 30 minutes and it's look great! even vacuumed after himself! Great experience read more

I wanted to redo the inside of my entire house (yes, EVERY inch) and didn't know who to work with. I was given quotes that were 3-4x my budget and had a contractor pull out of the project 2 weeks before my scheduled demolition. I got super discouraged until i found Frame Build & Design. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! I highly recommend hiring them for your next project! They did a great job. I ultimately went over budget but that's totally expected (and totally on me)! Thank you Frame Build & Design!

I planned to do a room addition, which required an architect and getting those plans approved by the city. He took care of all the back and forth so that my focus could be on other aspects of the project. I had walls knocked down, a window put in, and new walls built. I added some aesthetic upgrades, which he took care of quickly. Daniel always responded quickly anytime I reached out to him. I was never stressed about the project, and he made sure to stop by regularly to look at the work that was done. He even noticed things that I hadn't and made sure the crew came back to correct them. Daniel is the lead that you want handling your project. I highly recommend him and his team and would use him again.

Right from the get go, it was clear that he is an honest person and gave us a lot of confidence that he will be able to handle the project. We had to wait a few months to get the permit approval from the city, and Micky followed up with the permit officers diligently. He had his team ready to jump in with the demo, and started working on the project immediately after we received the permits. The project took a couple of months longer than expected (in part because we asked for some changes, and in part because Micky had underestimated some of the work). But we did not mind the delay as it was clear that Micky's team was doing the work properly and not cutting corners. One piece of advice: Micky gives you accurate timelines for his material options, but if you want other options then you will have to be on top of it yourself to make sure you get it in time. This is understandable, and once we realized it, we were able to better forecast when certain aspects of the project will be completed. Micky is just an amazing human being - kind, thoughtful, and empathetic. The patience paid off. We now live in one of the best houses on the street (which was previously an eye sore). Our sincere gratitude for Micky and his team. We will seek his company out for future projects.

I repeatedly emphasized that my property was dramatically different than the last google earth satellite shots. They basically just sent me a computer rendering of a random pool in a barren representation of my old yard. It felt like my small project was not worth the time to talk to me or send someone out to meet with me and take measurements or just take a look at my project. Finally, a site supervisor reached out to make an appointment to actually see and design a pool for me. I told him I had been disappointed with my experience thus far and he reassured me that I was now in good hands and that I'd be dazzled from now on. THEN HE NO SHOWED! Can you believe it? This guy went on and on about how he was going to change my perception of Calimingo and then he didn't show up or even text to say he couldn't make it. Hours later, he sent me a half hearted apology saying his meetings overlapped... our meeting was for 7:30 am... the first of the day. A week later, Sean calls me back asking to set up an appointment, completely clueless that this other guy no call no showed. I felt bad for Sean - he was very apologetic and had been very professional up to this point. I ended up going with a local San Diego pool builder with amazing customer service who didn't mind coming out and meeting with me for my measly 200k pool.

For the first time, I didn't have to provide any guidance. He and his crew arrived early and just went to work. When he was done, I did ask why a few things weren't trimmed, and for each he had an answer that made sense. Most importantly, I didn't have to ask him and go back and pull weeds that still remained or cut other things that should have been cut. On top of that, he trimmed my trees (small lemon and olive trees) way more than any other gardener before me, without my asking! Needless to say, if you are looking for an expert gardening service for regular maintenance, Angel is your man!

The customer service at L&P Development is excellent. They called to confirm my TV mounting appointment and told me the window of time the installer would be coming would be on the earlier end between 2-5pm. Day of, someone calls me to let me know my installer will be coming closer to the later end of my time slot due to last minute additions to the work order appointment before mine. Gerrit Arends, the installer, also called me around this time to let me know he would be coming later due to changes to the work order of the appointment before mine. He was very professional and let me know he will be calling me again when he is headed to my place. When he was done at his previous appointment, he called me to let me know he was on the way and about 4 miles away. Once here, he quickly went to work. It took him about 25 minutes to complete the job. Gerrit did an awesome job - he consulted with me about the height and position on the wall and left the place clean. Thanks L&P for making my experience an excellent one! Erica your coordination and follow through made it so supportive with my hectic schedule! The team arrived when expected and was friendly and patient considering the manufacturer didn't have all the right parts in the box to assemble my desk. I returned the desk and L&P was on it to check in with me during the week when the new one would arrive to coordinate their assembly. Same team came back a week later and once again they went right to work while I worked on my laptop. Again, they noticed, when almost finished the top part of the desk had been damaged. They were able to walk me through the process in calling Amazon's customer service while they were waiting to see if I would decide to return it once again- I loved their spirit of helpfulness! I recently had Jason from L&P Development come to my house to assemble an exercise bike I bought through Amazon. Amazon recommended the company. First of all, the customer service with L&P is first rate. The office called to confirm the bike had been delivered and schedule the appointment to assemble. They sent me a picture of Jason, the person who would be coming to my home. They said he would call to advise me when he was in route. Jason did call with an ETA. Jason arrived on time and proved to be technically competent at the assembly process. He was conscientious and friendly. After completing the assembly, Jason tested the bike to make sure it was working properly. He answered my questions and offered some pointers. He was very customer oriented. I ordered a treadmill and William from L+P came to put it together. To start I received multiple emails confirming the time they would be arriving (which was exactly the time I requested!) and the day before Erica called to confirm all of the details. She reiterated we would only be charged when the service was competed. She super friendly and professional. William called before he arrived and when he got here he was fantastic. He put the treadmill together in record time, was quiet, asked for nothing, gave us a lesson in how to use it and then also explained what we needed to do to maintain the treadmill going forward. I just go my sofa assembled today thanks again to the awesome Justin at L&P development. I was lucky enough to be able to get Justin again and hope to be able to call on his expertise in the future when I have more furniture to assemble. I really liked that Justin was able to quickly but very competently put together my furniture AND carry on a conversation with me. Since I am new to the area he was helpful in sharing some info on the best local spots. I LOVE my sofa!! After he was done assembling the sofa, he walked me through the various settings on my sofa and I was able to select the one I wanted (after testing them out). I had to call the office to change the date of service and their staff was very friendly and helpful. My service technician Evan called me 20 minutes ahead of time indicating he was about 20 minutes away. He arrived right on time and promptly went to work assembling my desk. He took the time to point out a minor flaw in one of the drawers asking if I would like to send the desk back because of it. This was after he had worked on it for an hour....the flaw was barely noticeable and I said it was fine. But it impressed me that he had the honesty to point it out. He finished the job in about an hour and a half, cleaned everything up, moved the desk to where I wanted it. Marcus did an awesome job installing my 43" tv to the wall. The tv mount that I bought did not have the right size nuts/bolts/washers for my tv and he took his time sorting through a ton of pieces I had to figure out how to make it work properly. He said not to worry if he didn't find the right pieces, I could go and buy them and then he'd come back. But, he used what I had and really secured the TV to the wall and made sure I was happy with the placement before he actually hung it. I'm super happy with his service and would definitely use L&P again. I also want to give a shout out to Ericka. She answered the phone every time I called and she was so nice and professional. I ordered an elliptical machine through Amazon - and decided to also purchase assembly through L&P Development. I have to say that I am SO glad that I did. L&P made the scheduling of the appointment very easy and they were flexible. On the day of the appointment, Marcus called me to let me know when he would arrive -- he arrived exactly when he said he would. He was friendly and courteous, and put together the elliptical machine with no issues and in a reasonable time frame. Marcus did an excellent job! Especially, since the product description mentioned that it takes about 4 hours to assemble on your own. very helpful! We selected L & P through Amazon Home Services to assemble an exercise bike. Gerrit is the technician that showed up. He quickly found that a some parts were missing and one part was even broken. Needless to say, he could not finish the assembly but took the time to explain to me how to communicate with the manufacturer to solve the problem. He was very patient and helpful. After the new equipment arrived, Jason was the next technician to show up after the replacement equipment arrived. Just as with Gerritt, he was very pleasant. Thank god Jason was able to fix the mess I created from my failed attempt at building my tv stand. Since the product I ordered was cheaply made, I was worried it was beyond salvaging. But luckily Jason was able to repair it. Jason called thirty minutes prior to arriving, allowing me plenty of time to make sure I was home. He was fast, professional, and careful not to damage the floors or walls in my home. He cleaned up all trash and boxes. There is honestly no reason for me to attempt building anything after this. I ordered a Schwinn exercise bike through AMAZON which gave me the options to pay someone professonaly to come & assemble my bike. L&P Development of Los Angeles was sent out, throughout the week they kept in constant contact via text messages & email giving me updates on the time a person would come the phone number if I had questions or needed to reschedule. Gerrit called the morning of and said he could come early due to someone cancelling & I was super ecstatic, especially because my appointment wasn't until 2pm-5pm. I recently moved to LA from Boston and had purchased a king sized bed frame and headboard. I was unsure how I was going to put it together until I saw the advertisement on Amazon for furniture assembly. Unlike the company that did the delivery, this company was VERY forthcoming with information and so courteous - it was so refreshing that they acted like they really cared about the installation of my grill. They called the day before to confirm for the next day then the installer called 30 mins before to let me know that he would be here in 30 mins. I thought it was a bit pricey until I saw all the bad wood they replaced and all the extra effort they put into making sure there was a good water barrier. They took down awnings and put them back. Small crew of 3. Very polite. Worked hard. Very happy with result. They kept to their schedule. They gave me heads up that they had personal business one day but they came in on Saturday to complete. Almost forgot. A week later I asked if I could have the sample paint that did not match because I thought it would match another area of the house I could touch up. The use of sub contractors is a part of any build and each of the contractors selected were respectful of my property and my neighbors, did an above average job, and were a compliment to John Christopers team. I would advise anyone considering an accessory dwelling unit to choose this contractor for the project. We spent a lot of time selecting the right contractor and were even led astray by a few. I can honestly say from my perspective, there's no-one better suited to build a detached ADU than John Christopher Construction. They were able to work with what I had and made my experience very enjoyable. They provided me a rendering of what the inside of my house would theoretically look like, and I can confidently say that it looks pretty darn close to the pictures! I'm so pleased with how all my cabinets & fixtures turned out. I appreciate Idan for answering all my questions and dealing with my complaints. He was patient with me and would send a guy over to fix or add things that I wanted (like outlets on the ceiling for my speakers, patching holes, etc). He went above and beyond to get permits for renovating, be there for city inspections, and keeping me posted on progress. I will say however that if you are planning to hire this team, you will need to be hands on. This means being involved in EVERY decision! I had to pick out all my materials on my own to match the rendering provided in the beginning. FB&D provided some locations I could check out, but it required a lot of research on my end. It felt overwhelming as a first time home owner, but this is pretty normal from what I understand. FB&D had an interior designer on this project and she was a HUGE help in decision making. There's no perfect contractor. Yes there were some communication issues and yes there were some imperfections. Yes it took 2x my timeline. What renovation doesn't? But ultimately the FB&D team were very accommodating with my feedback and gave me my DREAM home. And I can say 7 months into living here, everything is still holding up great and nothing has broken! I highly recommend hiring them for your next project! They did a great job. I ultimately went over budget but that's totally expected (and totally on me)! Thank you Frame Build & Design!

When I first met Daniel, he asked me questions about my house project that no one else had. He…read morewanted to know what I was envisioning and the style. He asked me very detailed questions that I hadn't thought about yet. I knew that he was detail-oriented and that he was already invested in my project even though I hadn't given him the go-ahead. I planned to do a room addition, which required an architect and getting those plans approved by the city. He took care of all the back and forth so that my focus could be on other aspects of the project. I had walls knocked down, a window put in, and new walls built. I added some aesthetic upgrades, which he took care of quickly. Daniel always responded quickly anytime I reached out to him. I was never stressed about the project, and he made sure to stop by regularly to look at the work that was done. He even noticed things that I hadn't and made sure the crew came back to correct them. Daniel is the lead that you want handling your project. I highly recommend him and his team and would use him again.
