Our experience at this candy shop was pretty underwhelming. You'd expect to be greeted with a smile and some friendly vibes, especially since there was no one else in the store. But the employee who helped us was the complete opposite of welcoming. It felt awkward, especially since my brother-in-law is just a kid who should be excited in a place like that. The cashier, who I think was the manager based on the back of her badge, was super unfriendly and made both of us feel uncomfortable. After we left, my brother-in-law even said it felt like she didn't want us there, which honestly broke my heart. He's a quiet kid, not causing any trouble at all. I'm not sure if it was my tattoos that made her act that way, but I went in ready to spend money and cheer him up with some candy. I can assure you my money is green. I would think she would be excited to see us considering the old "kid in a candy store" thing. When I asked where the bags were for filling up candy by the pound, she seemed really annoyed and just said they were on the table without any clear signs. I didn't have my glasses on, so I didn't see them right away, but her attitude was just shocking. I only bought candy for my brother-in-law to support the shop, especially since it was empty. You'd think a candy store would be a happy place, but I was really disappointed by the service. I honestly don't recommend this place to anyone. You can buy cheaper candy anywhere else ‍. I don't mind the mark up but at least make people feel comfortable in your shop. I'd recommend a place like Rocket Fizz or Five below for your candy fix!!! read more

They have a wide variety of candy. I don't think there's anything you won't find in here. I was disappointed in the licorice. It was hard as a rock and that was the main reason for going here. I use to get my licorice from all the time. They would actually order it for me. Other than that the other stuff I got was good. They are kinda pricy, but who isn't these days lol. They need more help. Their was only one young girl working and she could have used some help. It's always nice to hear a hello when you walk in a place but I think she was so busy she doesn't even know when people come in. I would recommend this candy place. read more

We had fun inside this candy store and even though it's quite pricey and it's very bad for you, there's lots of cute pouty teenybopper pictures on the wall and lots of good stuff in here. I prefer European candy to American candy and we don't even call it Candy by the way we call it sweets. But it's not bad. Bumped up by a star for the decor and friendly servers. read more

The gentleman who works at this store is extremely unfriendly and rude. My son and I were in the store while waiting for my wife, and the gentleman didn't like my 2 yr old being curious about the packaged candies. He gave us the look of disdain, assuming we were just there making a mess and would never buy any candies. Then he saw my son trying to open one of the packages, and he raised his voice and go: CAN YOU PLEASE DON'T OPEN IT?! this is without a doubt the rudest shop assistant we've ever come across in the state of Texas. Dealing with little ones is part and parcel of running a candy store, and if you can't stand kids going to the store then you need to look for a new job. read more

So there I was with my daughter on her birthday walking around and stumbled into this heavenly smorgasbord of a diabetics wet dream and my little willy wonka kid personality came out lol. I was like ohh my God I haven't seen these since I was a kid Running around snapping pictures remembering the day when my mom would fuss at me because I would spend my whole allowance on candy. Shed tellme how my teeth were going to rot And how I would get cavities. As we made it up to the register my daughter was like " Mom.. really" (in her adult voice I swear she has an old soul) "Really your seriously about to buy $60 worth of candy!?" As shes pointing at the counter I started to feel like we switched bodies Like she was the adult and I was the child. I had already opened a pack of the candy cigarettes and was fake smoking. The guy at the register was like that'll be$68 My daughter took my purse and snatched the candy cigarettes I opened out of my hand placed them on the counter and said to the cashier. "Cancel that order she's not buying that he only thing we're purchasing today are these." As she shook the container of almost empty candy cigarettes and looked at me and said "Really mom!?" I never felt so happy yet ashamed and disappointed in myself all at once lol. I was proud of her that lets me know that she's going to be alright in life. Lol WOULD I GO BACK TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT? BEWARE!!!!The most horrible lady works at this location! I would not feel safe going to that store specifically with kids because of the rude person working there. This happened on 2/13/2021 at 12:30 pm. We went in with my two toddlers, I was trying to hand the tongs to my son who was wearing a glove, the lady ran to us and in a dangerously rude tone said you have to wear gloves and can't touch the tongs with my hands, this was my first time at this store and I was caught off guard with that attitude! My husband then told her that she could be more polite and instead of being apologetic about her attitude, she GRABBED everything from my KIDS hands and told us to leave and that she was not going to sell to us and when we asked for her name she started yelling and saying IT WAS NOT OUR BUSINESS! I ask the management and the owner of the store to be more careful about hiring people specifically about the a store who it's personnel are in direct contact with kids. My kids are still very upset and talk about how mean that lady was. read more

Another 5 stars for a candy shop. This store is named "it's sugar", and rightly so....it's filled with all kind of candy, big, small, gummy, and hard. My favorites are here as well as my occasional Asian treat....which is nice to have so close to home thus avoiding the drive to China town. The cashiers are upbeat and friendly so that's 5 starts for customer service also. The kids love this place, and my wallet dosent mind too much either. read more

I love the store but the one star rating is for the people that work there. Only because I'm Hispanic it doesn't mean I'm go if to steal something ..I felt really mad and sad at the same time because I wasnt the only customer but because I was Hispanic I was the main focus on all of them .. never will be back I'll find a better place to go I'm done with you guys .. read more
