In October, I visited the store on a weekday and I was told that I could only walk-in on Saturdays. Nothing on your Facebook page or website that says Tuesdays to Fridays are not opened for walk-in. It needs to be clear. I commuted from the west end and can't come in on Saturdays. I'm disappointed. I actually like the pastries, and that it's safe for customers with allergies. Also, during this visit the young woman who unlocked the door to tell me the store was not opened for walk-in was nice. My review was posted on Google but it was deleted. I did not attack anyone OR give your business two stars or lower. How dissapointing. read more

I'm planning my daughters birthday and the owner couldn't even be bothered to msg me back to ensure I could get something in time. I will never come here again and I find that extremely disrespectful and ignorant behaviour. We all have a minute to return a call or email, especially when it's a first b day part and you promised to get back next day. I have no time for arrogance and ignorance. read more

Absolutely amazing!!! We picked up a mini apple pie, a carrot cupcake with cream cheese icing and a few cookies. All I can say is WOW!!!! The cupcake was super moist and the flavour was fantastic, it tasted homemade with love the pie was delicious the crust was light and it just melted in your mouth!! This truly made me think of home with every bite!! Now we didn't try the cookies yet....they're suppose to be little gifts for coworkers-but I'm not sure if they'll last (they're calling my name saying "EAT ME" lol Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back. read more

Attitude: 0; Products: 4 (out of 5) Website is not kept up to date so I suppose a lot of people phone or go in person. When I phoned it was obviously an "inconvenient" time as the woman sounded busy and annoyed. I asked a couple of questions. She abruptly answered them then practically hung up on me. The cake and cupcakes I had ordered at other times were good but not worth the rudeness. read more

I went into this [deliciously smelling] bakery with not-so high hopes having heard mixed reviews about the place. But this bakery trip was all about my trying a cupcake (more on that later). The baker/artist/owner(?) didn't make me feel welcome with an non-verbal attitude that did not really match the delightful confections they produce. I clearly interrupted her artistry as she was in the middle of piping a cake but no offence, you have an open door, expect customers to wander into your establishment and order something. Thing is though, the mixed reviews I heard earlier were mainly about the quality of decorating. I heard nothing but good things about the staff... maybe I caught them on a bad day. I do like the setting of the place. Kind of my ideal bakery if I ever decide to open one: very clean, open space with treats on display and bakers and decorators busy at work in the back. Now, let's have a date with this aforementioned cupcake, shall we? I got the vanilla cupcake. It was possibly the lightest and fluffiest cake I've ever had the pleasure of putting in my mouth. As for the frosting, though it paired well with the cake, also very light, it had that waxy after-texture you find common with most grocery store baked cakes, but less crunchy with the sugar. A heavier buttercream would not have worked with the lightness of their cake so they definitely made the right choice. read more

I got some cupcakes here last year and I might as well have stopped off at metro or sobeys and got a box of cake mix and a can of icing. Gross. Maybe they make good cakes or bars but not good cupcakes. I also think that vanilla cupcakes should have white vanilla icing on them. Unless I am ordering a hundred for a party and want them to match a decor. I just don't get it. Call me crazy. To top it off, staff was aloof I think they were in the middle of some gossip that I interrupted. Sorry folks. read more

I went to this bakery to get a specialty cake for my Dad's birthday. Although it was decorated super cute, the cake itself was horrible!!! So dry and very dense vanilla cake. I asked for vanilla cake with raspberries & whip cream layers. I got one layer with some raspberries and icing instead of whip cream. It was disappointing when paying a good amount of money for the cake. read more

The final destination on my cupcake crawl proved to be an expensive one. I would give 2.5 stars if I could, but I can't, so I'm rounding down. I'll start with the cupcakes: they only had vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, which I found odd. However, the vanilla cupcake had pink icing, so I was sold. The cupcake was okay -- it was pretty average to me, although it was large in size. The icing was decent and the cake was slightly stale. I got there late in the day, so it's possible they'd been baked earlier in the day or the day prior. All in all, it was a decent cupcake, but nothing to write home about. I had a little issue with leaving my sunglasses at the store, and trying to get someone to return my calls and emails. Needless to say when I finally got someone to call me back, they said that "someone must have picked them up; that they wear prescription glasses and couldn't wear sunglasses". Note to self: don't ogle cupcakes while you have expensive sunglasses in hand. :( read more

Tried the raspberry cupcake today. I usually hate raspberry, so you can imagine how shocked I was when it actually tasted amazing. So moist and delicious; I've never had anything like it before. The icing didn't have that gross synthetic taste that raspberry usually has. It was perfectly sweet and slightly tangy. I'm drooling right now just thinking about it. Anyways, after devouring that perfect little cupcake, I detoured 3 blocks just to order another two of the same. That being said, the other flavours just don't cut it. The icing tastes a little gritty and artificial. Leaves a weird aftertaste. Also, the portion size leaves much to be desired considering the price. read more

Without realizing that I drive by this place everyday on the way home, I finally discovered it when I redeemed one of those team buy vouchers. I ordered an assorted box of cupcakes. I found the cupcakes to be way too sweet and the box that they came in are not ideal if you're going to be transporting these. It's just basically a cardboard cake box - not your usual muffin-like plastic container that holds your cupcakes in place. The cake base however, is quite moist. They weren't bad cupcakes, but I've had better read more

Why are the reviews so low?? We got a dozen mixed flavours for my wife's birthday and loved them. So soft and the icing was not sickeningly sweet (what we tend to find elsewhere). Please try these!! read more

So pleased this place is nut free or I may not have found it since my daughter's bday was at but free party place. Great flavors, especially for kids. I had a bite of my daughter's bubblegum flavor cupcake and it was surprisingly delish. Cake was so moist. read more

My birthday cake had a Hawaiian theme and it couldn't have been more fun! The creativity of the design was not to be believed. The attention to detail was outstanding. AND, did I mention it was DELICIOUS. My only wish was that I had a birthday more than once a year! And, at my age, that's saying something. read more

This was the 3rd cake I've ordered and every one has exceeded my expectations. Lynda was extremely helpful with modifications I wanted to make to the inspiration cake I found online. Her suggestions really made the cake a showstopper. I also have to mention the cupcakes are to dye for. The "girls best friend" chocolate cupcake is the best I've had, truly delicious. I will definitely be back. read more

I am not a fan of leaving negative reviews for small businesses and I have started this review and stopped it about 5 times since mid December. Long review ahead. I was fortunate enough to participate in a community event where a local realtor rents out the community center, hires a Santa, provides hot chocolate, coffee, snacks etc and provides an amazing back drop for families to get free family photos with Santa in exchange for a food bank donation. I love the generosity of this event so much that I asked if I could help and was told, "if you want to, please bring nut free cookies" Our home is largely NUTS so rather than risk cross contamination from our kitchen, I was on the search for a nut free baker and found icing on the cake. The owner, I think her name was Linda, was pleasant while I asked for cookie and price options. She was less pleasant when I called back to confirm, yes, I would like to proceed with an order of 100 chocolate chip cookies. I say this because when I called back and asked to speak with "Linda", the staff who answered the phone did a very poor job of covering the mouth piece so I completely heard how uninterested "Linda" was in speaking with a customer. I literally heard her say, "Really? Right now? Arrgh? Who is it?" And then when she found out it was me, looking to confirm an order, she got on nice pie The above is antidotal. I was initially quoted $1.50 a cookie but got it down to $1.25 a cookie. Was told because it was wholesale in nature, there was no tax The event was on a Sunday, when they are closed, but was told my cookies would be baked on the Saturday and I arranged for a late afternoon pickup I don't know about you, but if I am paying $1.25 wholesale a chocolate chip cookie, I am expecting a good cookie. This is not what I received. These cookies were terrible. They were dry, had maybe 7 chocolate chips per cookie, were smallish , perhaps 1.5inch diameter and were obviously not baked the day of my pick up, hard as rocks. A baker friend of mine, after eating one, suggested they were likely baked days in advance and then frozen. Adding insult to injury, the women behind the counter when I picked them up had a snotty attitude. I bought a chocolate chip cookie from their available display when I showed up, wanted to taste their goods, that cookie was also pretty bad but was 5x better than the cookies I picked up. It actually had visible CC's so that was a start. Hub and I recently baked nut free CC cookies at home - by this I mean with ingredients never exposed to any nut product - all speciality products in, cost us about $3 a dozen Bad attitude, bad business practice and even worse cookies. Beyond disappointing read more

So disappointed in this place! The staff are really unfriendly and seemed annoyed I walked in.. I could tell as soon as I walked in the cupcakes didn't look great. The cake was dense and dry; and the icing was NOT butter cream, I have the vanilla cupcake and the icing had basically no taste ?? It seemed fake. Probably will not be back read more

D E L I C I O U S. Beautiful, and pretty cake for my daughters 1st birthday party. It was so yummy I licked the plate clean. It was just right. Not too sweet and not too savoury. Nice balance of vanilla icing with the lemon flavour. The cake build was even all around. Each piece had just the right amount of icing. The decorations and flare were well put together and you can tell it was done properly. They know what they are doing. The service was super fast. The order was taken with no problems. The location is great too, you can just park across the street and run in to grab your cake. The shop smells delicious. The employees there looked busy but they were still polite and quick to service. I would highly recommend this place. Oh, and their whole facility is nut free. read more

Its actually not that bad. We tried 3 Cupcakes. Apple Spice, Red Velvet, and Ginger on Lemon Poppeyseed. They were ok, the cake part was kind of dry in the red velvet and apple spice though. But the Lemon Poppeyseed with Ginger icing was my favourite. read more

I ordered a wedding cake classy simple flavour (not hard to accomplish) and they were the most unsatisfying business I have ever encountered. The owner was rude and unaccomodating not to mention overcharged for a mediocre product. Extremely disappointing bakery; actually comical that they even have a business. read more

Cute little bakery. I have been walking past this place for years, but never noticed it until a few weeks ago. Do yourself a favour and skip the cupcakes, they are fine really, but the squares are spectacular. They make probably the best date square I've ever eaten. My husband loves the brownies, they aren't too sweet or covered in icing. Also have had a smores brownie that was really good too. Today my daughter had some Rice Krispie treat on a stick thing, she was quite happy with it. Very reasonably priced as well, all in for the 3 squares was only $7.50. read more
