6 Mixed Bag Cupcakes (not pictured is the Chocolate chocolate cupcake)
    Uma G.

I'm just going to start by saying: One of THE best cupcakes I've eaten in a long time! I thought I'd do one of those cute shots of my half-eaten chocolate chocolate cupcake, but it was just so frikkin' delicious I forgot! Oh my goodness - the icing was like a fluffy cloud atop this perfectly moist and light cupcake, and great chocolaty flavor in both components and just the right amount of sweetness. Got 6 'mixed bag' cupcakes, and the rest of these look amazing too (I have pictures :D) - I very much look forward to eating my way through them. I also really appreciate the packaging - these travelled a bit to get to me (thank you, Uber Eats delivery person), and they were delivered in mint condition.

I had to update my review..... I just had ta! This is a really outstanding bakery, both locations! Where to start, where to start? The cupcakes. OMG. Seriously. First, the large size is a very good price, especially for stuffed cupcakes, and quite large, with enough icing (so many places just put a dab on... Not ok!). And. The cake is moist, fresh, and delicious. The icing is outstanding, very soft, melts in your mouth, and well flavoured! Plus. The red velvet cupcake, PROPERLY, has cream cheese frosting, which I think is required. Some bakeries I've tried use buttercream on a red velvet... Gross! The Nutella stuffed cupcake, (hard to get cause they sell out all the time) is simply outrageous! I snarfed down so many in the past 24 hours, that I'm embarrassed to say how many! I hadn't had anything from here in far too long... So apparently, I couldn't control myself!! And. For those of you sad, sad folks who will only eat ONE bite of dessert, they have mini and regular cupcakes! (I, of course, always buy the big/regular size!!) The squares are always excellent, and stored in the fridge, some keep for weeks! As are the cookies. The peanut butter dream squares are, just, beyond!! Peanut butter rice Krispy like base, thick chocolate topping, just, yuuuuum! I have them in a Ziploc bag in the fridge, sales person said they'd be great for weeks! Goddess of Grammar signing off...!

Mini strawberry, vanilla and red velvet cupcake. PB melt and chocolate chip cookie.

Wow, why haven't I been here sooner? I am a cupcake fanatic and connoisseur and the fact that I haven't tried the cupcakes at Bake Sale yet, is beyond me. For the record, I have had them bookmarked for awhile. From creeping all their pics and looking for a place to order a non grocery store bought cake, I decided to finally pay them a visit. I was at IKEA Saturday morning and they were only 7 minutes away! The perfect opportunity. It was only an hour after opening, so they were fully stocked. I couldn't even get it together because there was just too much to try and order! I decided to get 3 mini cupcakes, a PB melt and a chocolate chip cookie. Basically all the "basics" for me at a baked goods store. I do all my judgements based on red velvet and plain vanilla cupcakes; as well as, chocolate chip cookies. I also decided to go ahead and place an order for a cake for my SO. He loves strawberry anything, so their strawberry cake seemed appropriate. I also got a mini of their strawberry cupcake to see how the cake could possibly taste. In addition to placing an order for the cake, I placed an order for gingerbread men (SO also enjoys those). Everything is reasonably priced and also DELICIOUS! The strawberry cupcake was so fresh and light. Just the right amount of sweetness. Same goes for the vanilla and red vervet. The cream cheese on the red velvet is ON POINT. However, I could do without the chocolate sprinkles. The PB melt was so soft and yes, melt in your mouth. The chocolate chip cookie was perfect. The first bite I took, I was nodding my head YES, cuz the cookie was delicious. Just the right amount of softness. I loved everything I got. I can't wait to pick up the cake to see how it turns out and to get more goodies! Also FYI, advanced cake orders do require a 50% deposit.

2 sugar cookies and a shortbread cookie

Today I grabbed some Valentine's cookies from bake sale when I was out getting groceries. The cookies are usually my favorite thing to purchase from bake sale but today they were a bit off. I purchased 2 out of the 4 designs of sugar cookie, plus a shortbread cookie. The shortbread cookie, as you can see in the picture was significantly smaller then the sugar cookies. It was very dense and dry, must have a drink of some sort if your eating these! The sugar cookies designs were lovely. I ate the light pink one with love written in script on it and my boyfriend ate the one with the artistic design. Points for pretty-ness for sure! The sugar cookies were a bit firm, and unfortunately tasted like someone put too much sugar in the mixture for this batch. The texture of the cookie wasn't off putting but they are usually softer then the ones we got today. Overall, not the best I have had from there but not the worse thing either.

Bake Sale is located in the 6 points plaza in Etobicoke across from Kipling station and behind Apache Burger. I came to Bake Sale late afternoon on a Sunday. A majority of their cupcakes were sold out. All that was left was carrot cake and chocolate. I opted for the carrot care at (3.75). It was quite small, but tasty. The cream cheese frosting was tasty, however I would have preferred a bit less, as I feel it over powered the entire cupcake. I will return earlier next time and try different ones!

I was in the area and couldn't resist stopping by! This was my second time visiting and I opted for a dozen of mini assorted cupcakes. Cost- $1.50 each or $1.40 for a dozen. I've paid more for cupcakes so I thought their pricing was reasonable. I wanted to try multiple flavours and share with others and this is the way to go. Smaller in size so you can eat more- right? WIN WIN Incredibly fresh- baked on site! I bought the following: Mint- topped with a peppermint candy and a chocolate cake- intense mint flavour but I love it for that reason Peanut butter- chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting- good but this time around the frosting had a weird texture. Red velvet- DIVINE- I have tried many and this one was moist with the best cream cheese frosting; must have reformulated their recipe because it was much improved from the last visit! Carrot- cream cheese frosting topped with a carrot fondant- loved this! Nutella- really rich but as a mini this was the right proportion! Nutella frosting with a chocolate bottom filled with a nice surprise of Nutella smack dab in the middle Lemon- this cupcake used to have much more lemon flavour. Taste of real lemon however thought it could use a lot more. Not a fan of the lemon sprinkles on top Coconut- Too sweet! Shredded coconut on top of a coconut frosting with a vanilla cake Was helped right away with great service. Upon cashing out was given a coupon for a free large cupcake at my next visit! Hello sugar rush! Mini's are definitely the way to go!

The cupcakes here are phenomenal! I love how you can choose regular or mini sized cupcakes and the variety of flavours. They also also scones, and other small bites such as cookies and macarons. A great place to stop by to pick up dessert for the family or even a light sweets break for yourself. My personal favorite is the chocolate mint and peanut butter cupcakes!

    a box of assorted cupcakes

The service and delivery is horrible - I ordered mini cupcakes and cookies for an office party. The bakery called and said the courier had trouble delivering and left my order at a random address instead!!! When I received the order, the boxes were open and the cupcakes had fallen over.

The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
