This restaurant just opened about 3 months ago. So happy to see another Thai option here in Chesterfield. The restaurant is nicely decorated and makes you feel welcome. After ordering the food came out promptly. We ordered the curry puffs, chicken satay, summer rools, tom yum soup, pepper steak, garlic flavor with chicken, and iThaiz fried rice with chicken. All of the food we ordered were delicious. Our server was great. Always asked if we needed anything and my glass of water was always filled. The prices for the items on the menu are pretty reasonable. Please try this place out. We will definitely be back to try other items on their menu. read more

I ordered out, i this review comes without the full experience of ambiance... ordered the Curry Puffs, Drunken Noodles with tofu and Pad Thai with thicken. The Curry puffs were amazing. I absolutely recommend you get them if you appreciate anything curry and a nice rich flaky puff pastry. They were amazing. Drunken Noodles were delicious. Good flavors. Nestled in a little strip mall behind a gas station on Courthouse road, this place is intriguing. My coworker and I decided to have a lunch meeting here today. First impression: Nice decor, some light music in the background, and a friendly server. The server was also the owner of the restaurant and was very friendly and helpful in our lunch picks. They make Thai food and can do either a very traditional Thai meal, or something using fresh American vegetables. I asked about the difference between Thai broccoli and American broccoli and was told the Thai broccoli was much leafier. Good enough for me, I'll take the American. We picked a couple of appetizers to share, the Curry Puffs, (served with a sweet dipping sauce 5/5), and the Thai Crab Cakes, (Served with a lighter dipping sauce 4/5). While the crab cakes were good, they couldn't compare to the Curry Puffs which are good enough to warrant a trip there any day of the week. On to the main course. My compliments to the chef because my Pad See Eww was absolutely perfect. I did not give up my membership to the Clean Plate Club and completely finished my meal. My coworker ordered a curry dish Thai Hot, (I'm not sure which one), and he said it was delicious and perfect. This is a man of few words, so it was obviously very good. I ordered a Ginger Perfect and some more Curry Puffs to go, (I told you I loved those Curry Puffs!), And my wife enjoyed the food immensely. So, absolutely perfect food. The chef, who I did not get to meet, knows how to cook and was also open to changing my order a little bit. My wife hates mushrooms...what are you going to do? Seating was comfortable, and we paid our check at the counter. They use a tablet style checkout which I have been seeing more and more of late. I actually like this new direction. No more having to deal with a pen with a flower taped to the end or finding the one corner of a tiled counter to press the receipt against when you are scrawling your name. We found this restaurant while leaving a massage place. It is a small spot. Nice people. Inviting environment. Very well decorated and put together for Valentine's too. They put alot of time and thought into decorating there appetizers with heart shaped food and cut out heart on toothpicks for Valentines. Friends and I checked out this new unassuming restaurant. We all like Thai food and we're pleased with our food. The summer rolls were fresh and not too sweet peanut sauce. I got the Ginger chicken, medium spicy. Fresh ginger and a light black bean sauce made thus flavorful. My friends got lemon grass chicken and drunken noodles. I tasted both. They were pleased with their meals and we would definitely return. The atmosphere was quaint and clean. It seems like a family owned restaurant and know their food well. The service was a little lacking, but not horrible. The price was reasonable and portions were ample. Took leftovers home for lunch. We went for dinner, but they obviously get a lot of carry out business, and that affected our service. We were seated, but no one came to offer menus or take drink orders. We learned they expected you to order on your phone, but no one said that. We asked for a regular menu & were told they're not up to date. When we finally got steamed dumplings as an appetizer (which were delicious), the waiter walked away & never brought any silverware. We had to go get it. Wow!! Like really wow! The fact that this place is in the Southside/Midlothian area (not to mention 2.5 miles from my house) is both amazing and dangerous. This place was SO good. Owner is super nice, and wait staff is diverse and friendly. Service was good, food came out quick (maybe the one or two reviews with long waits were an off night?) and tasted great. There was one time where I was looking for some water and it took some time, but not enough to tarnish my view of the place. Checking out she let us know that if we downloaded the Clover app we would be able to get some free coconut cheesecake... WOOOOOW it was so good. This food used to be wonderful when they first opened. The service has always been terrible! Unfortunately they have not been able to meet the demand and am now reheating food previously cooked. My sons Lomein meal was inconsistently heated last night. The perimeter noodles were barely warm, the middle of the plate was much warmer and the chicken was cold/frozen. The noodles were soggy and had obviously been sitting for some time. My tofu had zero flavor! I thought I was eating rubber. The wait staff never seems to be trained well and don't know what to do. I CAN'T EXPRESS HOW MUCH WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! We ordered delivery food through GrubHub. After 45 minutes past our expected delivery time we started to wonder what was going on. Well GrubHub "was having problems with their app ". It ends up that I tipped 15% to pick up my own food according to GrubHub. Once we learned that we needed to pick the food up we drove out to iThaiz and they remade all of our food for us!!! It had been sitting there for over 30 minutes. We can't even express how awesome that was of them to do that for us through no mistake of their own! We love the food and love the service and will continue to be dedicated patrons. I really would like to give this restaurant a higher review. The inside looks nice but upon my two take out orders, no one was inside. The take out orders contained MSG. Any Thai that contains MSG will always get a 1 star from me. I am highly allergic with face swelling. The flavors were great and if you are not allergic, this is a wonderful restaurant to try. However the second time confirmed the MSG and that is the only reason for my 1 star. Thai food does not need MSG and I have no idea why they are adding it. read more

I had been wanting to try iThaiz for awhile and finally got the opportunity. I took my mom for a evening dinner, and it was quiet. The place looks cool, decorated in a fun fashion. We ordered an appetizer of spring rolls and summer rolls. Both were decent. Pretty good flavor, seemed fresh! The main courses though. Taste wise, yummy. But there was a lot of oil, a *lot* of oil. The noodles also seemed well over cooked. My mom (a vegan) got a veggie dish and was please with the amount of veggies, but it had so much oil she didn't eat a ton. I will definitely try it again. I order spring rolls and veggie pad thai and although the spring rolls were perfectly cooked and crispy along with a savory sweet and sour sauce, my pad Thai didn't seem right. I order Pad Thai Number 2 spice which the waitress said was medium and not American hot. I am a pad Thai fanatic and I feel very strongly that I received number 3 (American hot) as I have never had a 2 that hot. The flavor wasn't bad at all so I will not complain about the taste, it was just tooo hot for my personal preference for today. I was also very dissatisfied with the level of service I received. I assume that it is better to order in person because I tried to call in my order for about 15 minutes with no answer. The waitress wasn't the most welcoming and spoke to me as if I was speaking a foreign language. She didn't offer me any water or anything other than a suggestion to go shopping as I waited for my food because it would be a while. Unfortunately this place is not good. It's extensive (for thai food). The pad thai noodles were dry, and lacked flavor or sauce. It was spicy but that was the only real flavor. It also kind of tasted like chinese food? Maybe MSG. The curry was watery and not as flavorful as I've tried. Also no potato. The only redemptive quality was the chicken satay which was actually really perfect and some of the best I've had. But I can't express how bad the pad thai was. Had a craving for a papaya salad and some curry so I looked on Google and ended up here. The inside is really nicely decorated and was greeted by a friendly person when I entered. The service was outstanding, the waitress was funny and the owner came over personally to check on our meal. The food came out quickly and did not disappoint, I especially liked the red curry and they have many options of different types to try. Our first time getting food from here, probably our last. Got chicken satay ... not bad. Yum yum chicken. Also not bad. Asked for mild spice, i think it was a little more but ok. The noodles on top had plenty of sauce, but under that they were clumped together. When i make spaghetti noodles at home, boil them then dump in the colander to drain ... if they sit in the colander too long they lump together. Thats how the yum yum noodles were. Like they had not been mixed with the sauce. But the beef pad thai noodles ... yuk. Dry as a stale hamburger bun, and just as flavorful. We had asked for mild spice on that as well, but there was no evidence of any spice. It was like they were leftover from lunch hours ago, and just reheated. So Disappointing. Tried this place due to it's stellar Yelp reviews. The spring rolls were average. The summer rolls were a disgrace. One of the order had no shrimp, just a ton of iceberg lettuce "wrapped" in rice paper. It feel apart as soon as I picked it up. My wife said the pad thai was not good, greasy and tasted funny. She threw it in the trash after 3-4 bites. My drunken noodle was OK, a little bland with zero heat. Hardly any chicken in my drunken noodle either. But the worst offender was the pizza spring rolls I ordered for the kids. They were, literally, store bought frozen pizza rolls wrapped in their spring roll wrap and fried.
