Promised a quote to replace faulty equipment in "a couple days" but 10 days and 2 phones calls later, no response. Was ghosted after making $140 for 5 minutes of work. Worst service one could ask for. Don't waste time calling to leave a message to not be returned, should have not paid until work started or called someone else. Now without water for dishes/showers/house maintenance until new pump can be installed with old well. due in part to promises made and not delivered. I should have paid the diagnostic fee and wait for the quote maybe it would have had higher priorirt, or at least been worth their time to communicate.

I said ok if that was deducted from the quote to do the job which is indeed how they do it. All I needed was a leaky valve fixed that controls our outdoor spigot. The plumber came with advance notice and quoted $166.52 to tighten the valve, and $330 to replace the valve. That price is minus the $50 service fee! I told him I thought that was outrageous and said no thank you, we'll find another way to fix it. He assured me their service was high quality, I told him it wasn't the service I was concerned with, it was their outrageous prices! I asked if we could discuss a few things on it and the he kept saying he'd call but never did. I tried calling him a few times but eventually gave up. Part of their sales pitch is that they come out for emergency calls for their customers and how there's always someone available but if they can't even call me back to get a project started then why would I believe they'd actually show up when I needed a repair? Their quote was literally double the other quotes I had gotten and the markup on some items was ridiculous. The furnace model was listed on the quote so I looked it up and they were charging me nearly 5x what it cost. And it isn't like they were rolling in labor or other parts because everything was itemized. In the end, I went with a different company who did great work for half the price Halco wanted.
