The week prior to our appointment we received two emails reminding us of our tech arriving between 8am and 10am. At 9:55 the morning of our appointment no one had arrived or called us. We called their office to see why. No answer. I left a message and headed to bed, (I work nights and needed to sleep). 10 minutes later I got a call from All City stating that the tech had arrived but wasn't able to access our neighborhood due to our security gate. The lady on the phone told me that I didn't include a proper phone number when setting up my appointment. The control box at our entry gate lists all homeowners and a way to contact us. The tech never called me. There is also an unlocked walk through gate the tech could use to access our neighborhood and walk 150 yards to my front door. The tech never thought or tried this simple idea. The lady who called me seemed more interested in pointing out how I was responsible for their tech not being able to get to our home than apologizing for the fact their tech hadn't arrived. She made no effort to find a way to get our fireplace serviced. Do yourself a favor and not use All City Fireplace. They are not focused on taking care of customers.

ATeam home services completed the following home projects for me:…read more1. Tailor-built a wooden stairway to the 5' tall indoor hot tub; 2. A mini-split air conditioning system for the hot tub room; 3. A strong, 500lb weight-bearing ladder to the attic; 4. Landscaped a flower bed and generator screen in accordance with HOA requirements for allowing the propane generator to be installed; 5. Electrical work both inside and outside the house; 6. Installation of a wide range of security measures guarding home access in a number of rooms. I might have omitted a project or two. I expect there to be more in the future. There is no way under the sun that I would have hired ATeam for one project after another if they weren't doing a stand-up job for very reasonable rates on every single one of them.

As a single woman, I sometimes encounter service people who 'mansplain,' but not this team. They are professional, respectful, and trustworthy--you can feel confident that they know what they're doing and aren't there to overcharge you. Their pricing is reasonable, and the service is truly excellent. Highly recommend!" PS - to the man who called Adam while he was working on my fireplace - you don't need to be at home when the A-Team visits...your wife is in good hands!

Down Right Cozy - Electric fireplace with mantel

My husband and I went in to look at electric fireplaces in January 2025. We knew nothing, so…read morenaturally, we had a lot of questions. The first time, we spoke with a Heather, who was one of the owners. She was polite and promptly emailed us a quote. We asked if they offered a military discount and she said no because said they had a very small profit margin. The only discount they offer is 35.00 off if you pay cash. My husband went away on business and when he returned, we went to look again and had a few more questions. We enquired about their return policy because in the event it didn't fit, we'd want to exchange it. She said they did not allow returns because it could be possible that we would damage the product. The person who helped us was the owners daughter and very nice, but didn't know her products and asked us to come back the following day to speak with her dad who was the father. My husband went back the next day to purchase the electric fireplace and ask the final questions just to be sure we had the right size, etc. Also, asked about returns and he also said no. So strange - don't they back up their products? Finally, the owner says to my husband, "my margin is very small and I've already given you more then enough time". Of course my husband left and did not buy the fireplace. Who in their right mind would after that comment? After reading all of their reviews, my review is no different. They have no idea what customer service means and definitely not patriotic to offer some small discount as a courtesy. And, what's interesting is these type of people can never find fault in themselves or take constructive criticism. Hope they go out of business. On a side note, ALL and I mean ALL electric fireplaces are made in China regardless if they have a manufacture site in the US. The owner of this store said it and so did the employee at Rich's. What does this mean? Hard to return, hard to repair, etc..

Green Bear was exceptional from start to finish. Shawn arrived when he said he would, explained…read morewhat was wrong clearly, and walked me through what he planned to inspect. He did exactly what he said he was going to do -- and ultimately fixed the problem the same day. The work was professional, thorough, and technically sound. While others had suggested replacement, Green Bear took the time to repair instead -- saving me thousands. I now have heat and confidence in the work that was done. I would absolutely hire Green Bear again and have already referred him to friends.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)
