He set up an appointment to meet with us right away and sent over a very professional, detailed quote the same day. He got us on his schedule quickly and completed the job to absolute perfection. Five years ago we had carpet installed and were left with an annoying gap between the carpet and the baseboard. It drove me crazy! Carl not only handled the installation beautifully, but he also made sure the new padding was thick enough to eliminate that gap entirely. A problem that bothered me for five years - gone in one day thanks to Carl. Fast, professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely thoughtful. We couldn't recommend him more!

We will not be working with Better Call Carl again. Last November, we hired him to perform a…read more"bathroom refresh". Hooked us in with a great price and great initial communication. On the first day on the renovation, we went through all the details of changes we wanted to make with his team. Somehow, these details never came to fruition. They did a great job with the drywall, painting, and tub installation - however, their tile work in the shower is subpar (the tiles were placed crooked and we had to go in to regrout ourselves). We previously had plumbing work done, so the cabinetry underneath the vanity had to be replaced. Better Call Carl figured the best way to do this was to just patchwork plywood (we went back ourselves to fix). He also didn't see the need for continuous baseboards (see photo). The biggest problem we have is with the floors - we also had terrazzo floor tiles placed and confirmed with the team prior to starting that there were enough tiles to complete the project. The floor is not up to industry standard nor ADA requirements. The grout lines are all different sizes and the actual tiles are not level, resulting in a trip hazard. There are also tiles that have been chipped both during and after installation. We reached out to Better Call Carl after work was complete to see if he could replace the floor - he was reluctant to come back, but he did end up replacing two tiles (out of 21). Even after the second round, the floor is a little more level, but nowhere near the standard or expectation. There are still chipped tiles, uneven grout lines, and tiles that are not level. We will be buying new tiles and having the floor redone, so we asked for a partial refund (for just the work on the floor), which was denied. We then tried to see if there was any other resolution we could agree on since Better Call Carl claims he has a one-year warranty. He refused to uphold his warranty. We'll be going with another professional from here on and would not recommend Better Call Carl to anyone.

He and his helper were hard workers and the clean up they did was great BUT he did not return as he…read moresaid he would to finish the work or take the bags of debris. My mistake was paying him for the portion he finished and not waiting til complete. It appears to me most labor will go where they will make the most money and forget about you if they must return or they get a bigger job the next day! This is the reason I rated him 3 stars. I'm very disappointed that he won't even return calls. My yard is super tiny. They completed the clean up in one and a half hours and charged me $250. To me it's a high amount. Labor at $100 an hr and higher in this area is EXPENSIVE!!!!!! I even had one firm quote $700! Perhaps if they were landscaping my yard and installing a patio!!!! That's insane!!!' I'll try and post a pic of my 10 ft wide by 20 ft long yard. This is why I think the garden labor in Redmond and Trilogy is ASTRONOMICAL!!!! It looks absolutely beautiful and my yard was cleaner than it's ever been! I appreciate his team's thoughtfulness and hard work! I have had to go out and admire the new look several times and could not be more satisfied with the finished product. Looking forward to working with them again in the future!

Alberto and his crew did such a fantastic job I just had them back to create more planters for us. Most contractors (in my experience) don't have the drive to ensure everything is perfect and how the customer wants/expects it to be. Any time there was any deviation Alberto made sure that I was involved in figuring out what I wanted, and between Andy and Alberto it felt like a true collaboration to achieve a yard we look at as a sanctuary now. Highly recommend this company for taking pride in their work, working hard, and the value they place on ensuring their clients are involved and happy with the work they do.

I am so thrilled to have found Sam and QPC for our renovation needs. There was a whole list of…read moreimprovements I had in mind, and he made them all happen on a faster timeline and on a much lower budget than any other estimates I received. We completely gutted the den, evened the floors, put in radiant floor heating, sealed off the small door to the patio and put in sliding glass doors, and completely reconfigured the laundry/half bath/water heater space! And, very importantly, he did an absolutely gorgeous job. His company is smaller, which means less overhead and, in my experience, very client-focused and driven to excellence. From the beginning Sam was very communicative and throughout the process was available to talk through any questions/ideas/concerns I had. In the end, he stuck close to his initial estimates (the few additional costs had been flagged and discussed with and agreed upon by me before they were incurred), and completed the work well within the initial timeframe. I definitely recommend Sam/QPC for your next home renovation project!

Mike from MBR was contacted initially to seal my grout and after they started the work, he found…read morethat there was existing issues with the previous installation. He asked if I wanted him to look further and I said "yes" There ended up being a catastrophic amount of damage from an incorrectly installed roof that I got last summer which had resulted in a majority of the master bathroom having extensive water damage. Mike agreed to help me with getting everything fixed, essentially kick-starting his solo efforts as a general contractor and got his appropriate licensing and bonding to work as such in an individual capacity. He performed emergency coverage tasks on the roof during extreme weather to attenuate ongoing damage and ended up needing to gut and replace the entire master bathroom. Mike organized and subcontracted to experts for each specialized task including plumbing (all of the old plumbing in the walls was done incorrectly and would not last longterm) and large-scale tiling (Mike's father is a master tiler and it absolutely shows in the amazing work), always keeping me aware of any changes to the ongoing bill. While the task did end up being more than the initial grout cleaning, the full rebuild of my master bathroom was a significantly better value than other quotes I heard. The quality is masterwork and my wife loves it, and isn't THAT what really matters? It took several months to complete the job, due to always finding something else that the previous builders had done wrong or not at all; but now I have a master bathroom that I will not ever need to worry about. I will be hiring Mike again for my contracting needs.
