ATTN: Show student ID for 10% discount!! Came here with friends to try this AYCE sushi place they have been raving about. We came on a weekday for dinner and were seated immediately. Parking was pretty easy. Service was very quick and efficient, which I liked. Fyi, they only offer shashimi during dinner and on weekends. Although weekday lunch is significantly cheaper, the fanciest option is nigiri on that menu. We ordered lots and lots of sashimi, specifically salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and mackerel. Unlike other AYCE places, there's no limit to ordering anything for any round, so go crazy (at your own risk). I really liked the salmon and yellowtail. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the tuna. I thought it was too tough in consistency wasn't as buttery as I was hoping. Appetizers were good; we ordered 1 of every appetizer pictured on the menu. Rolls were solid. Enjoyed the variety. Tried the steak teppanyaki, and it was average; more chewy than I would have liked, but I was curious. They have desserts including ice cream, cheesecake, and deep-fried cheesecake. Ice cream was average. I thought the cheesecake was too sweet and couldn't finish it. Overall, enjoyed my experience. Price is worth the AYCE. Military, 65+ years, and students get a small discount so bring your ID when you go!

All you can eat sushi and it did not disappoint. Cravings were satisfied. I ordered multiple rolls on the menu and all of them were really good ! I do like that nigori and sashimi are both included in this price. The reason i did not give it 5 stars was just some of fish just tasted like it just has been defrosted in the back. Instead of tasting fresh you can taste the fish saturated with water weight. The interior is pretty nice. It's all hard wood everywhere and looks like the inside of a Japanese dojo. They advertise Japanese videos, posters and many more. The service was exceptional. I enjoyed this place a lot. The price is a little hefty but if you come during the week during lunch hours you can get a great price for a steal.

Been looking for a new AYCE spot in the region and Itacho did not disappoint! I love Little Sakana and go often so I was curious how this place was different - I think you get jus different selections of rolls and apps here + a few more extras that we loved. The service was good, our particular server was sooooo nice and fun and made sure we were taken care of. The restaurant is nice and big, a really open space that feels super casual and modern. Whoever did the playlist that did was doing the damn thing, I rapping bars as much as I was eating the sushi! Overall i'd say 8/10 spot, as I do feel like som flavors could have been better and the delivery of the dishes felt kind of chaotic (albeit fast!). I'll definitely be back because i looooove a solid ayce place. i only got a pic of the fried cheesecake lol which was 10/10! coming back for that for sure!

I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. Definitely come here hungry because it is an AYCE spot. There is easy plaza parking. I came here on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't very busy! There's a decent amount of options of rolls, nigiri, handrolls, and appetisers you can try here! All of the nigiri and handrolls were great. San Diego really just has the freshest fish! I also really enjoyed the fish appetizers. Unfortunately I found a bone and an unedible piece of fish in my nigiri and that broke my heart :( I also wanted to try the soups, but both the hot and sour soup and the ramen had very bland broth. I'd highly recommend sticking to just the sushi and fish here!

Come here hungry. An ayce sushi place serving generous slices of fresh fish - unlike most places that try to give you a ton of rice and wafer slim slices of fish. They have a good selection of sushi, rolls, appetizers and hot food. The food comes fast so you don't get full waiting. Hot food seems to be made to order. The ramen was disappointing but don't come for ramen! Definitely coming back whenever we are in town.

Tried this last night after craving all you can eat sushi for a while now. The quality on everything is pretty well above what you would normally see for all you can eat. Nigiri portions were big and meaty and a lot of the rolls came in sets of 5 instead of 8 so we could try more! The Wagyu nigiri was great and we loved the demon roll. I would load up on nigiri pretty much the whole time if I went back especially the seared tuna and seared salmon! The decor was great and there were a ton of tables so the wait wasn't bad at all even for a Saturday night. Jojo, our server was super, super helpful and could not have been nicer or more friendly!

I love this place. It was my first time. I wish we had one back in my hometown. You can get unlimited sashimi Nigiri or rolls and there's no judgment. The quality was top-tier and the service was quick.

Worth the visit. Great service and delicious food. So many things to choose from. Ramen is also included! With big screen tvs showing sports or areas in South Korea, you can choose where you want to watch. I choose to watch what I was putting in my mouth lol. Cool place with such a relaxing vibe. I'll be back for sure. Thanks Cean for the excellent service.

First time here and I was highly impressed. AYCE can really be a hit or a complete miss. The restaurant was big and open. We were seated right away for a Saturday night. It was pretty busy too but had tables open. Sweet: Good comparable price for what's included. We enjoyed most of the items that we tried. All the sushi items were fresh except for the sweet shrimp. My favorites were probably the hand-rolls and nigiri. I like how they have teppanyaki as well so if you don't want to have sushi they have a variety of options to choose from. For the most part the food comes out at a decent pace. Sour: The server wasn't the greatest. She was quite didn't say much even just came up at times to take our orders but didn't acknowledge us while taking our order. Which was a bit odd. Didn't even apologize when our exact order was given to the table behind us and she had to order it again. We did enjoy everything we tried except for the sweet shrimp and chicken meatball. The sweet shrimp was extremely tiny almost could've missed it on the plate. But besides the size of it as it's not a big deal of the size it was not very fresh. The chicken meatball had a very weird taste didn't even attempt to finish it. The sushi rolls weren't much of an interest to me, most of them have cream cheese inside. Overall I really enjoyed this AYCE. I will definitely be back. Next time I'd like to check out the lunch menu.

03/27/2026 My husband and I visited Itacho for lunch. We specifically wanted the Uni (Ultra, $55.99); it was unavailable, we opted for the Platinum tier ($42.99). Highlights: * 5/5: Yellowtail (melts in your mouth), Salmon (fresh!), Eel (must have!), Masago, and Miso Soup. * 4/5: Sweet Shrimp, Smoked Salmon, Steamed Shrimp, Tobiko, and Yellowtail Jalapeño. * 3/5: Escolar, Tuna, Tilapia, Avocado Hand Roll, Cheesecake, and Vanilla Ice Cream. * 2/5: R27 Lobster Roll. Drinks: Space Dust IPA ($6) Service: Our server, Ryan, was chill and pleasant--we really enjoyed our interaction with him!

We came here for my brother in law's birthday and it was quite the treat. It reminded me a lot like AYCE Korean bbq but sushi and teppanyaki. We were a table of 9 and they were out of uni so we didn't get to do the upgraded package of the premium items. Our wasabi and ginger came a little later with our meal. We got the edamame, cucumber salad, gyoza, crab Rangoons, lemon roll, pink lady roll, green mountain roll, salmon, haha tuna, yellowtail, pepper tuna sashimi, baby octopus, unagi nigiri, filet, chicken, shrimp, veggies, and noodles. Everything was pretty good and there's something for everyone. Pretty much guaranteed to be full. Nice that you can get a birthday sake bomb for your birthday and that they help celebrate. Lots of fun and great variety.

Been here a few times now, service is always great and so nice. Food is still really good, but I feel the prices have gone up quite a bit from the last time I was here. Don't get me wrong, we ate our monies worth, but would I have eaten to excess just to meet the price point at another place? I know, it's an ayce. The quality is still good for an ayce, but it definitely isn't as crowded as it has been in the past, so I hope they retain the quality. I'm sure we'll be back.

The suspected culprit of my food poisoning

Sadly, I have to rate this place low. The vibe was awesome but I got some food poisoning and I am still suffering. We decided to grab a bite after visiting the car dealer next door and picking up my car from service. The place was not packed and had maybe 10 customers on Friday at 5:30p. We went for the All You Can Eat (AYCE) Sushi Platinum (Standard) for $43. The Ultra (Premium) AYCE includes about 5 or 6 choice Nigiri options. They have rules that you cannot have any leftovers, or you will be charged by the piece. The AYCE Standard Menu spans so many options and has a front and back page of choices from Apps to Ramen, and of course, Sushi. We ordered so many things to try so it's hard to pinpoint what got me sick. I do recall during a brief dining moment that I tasted something that was foul or not right when I bit into my "Itacho Yumi Roll". I mentioned to my Husband that something tasted rotten or spoiled in my first 2 bites. I brushed it off then continued our time dining. We ordered and ate: Teppanyaki (Hibachi) Chicken, Teppanyaki (Hibachi) Steak, Itacho Yumi Roll, Coronado Bridge Roll, Sweetheart Roll, Hawaiian Roll, Deep Fried California Roll, Appetizer Baked Jumbo Shrimp (I did not enjoy this dish), and the list goes on. I did also have an experience where my serving of Teppanyaki Chicken tasted like kitchen/grill cleaner during this experience. Our server was awesome. All of the staff is awesome and very attentive about clearing plates, bringing out ordered items, and the customer service by our server was great. Unfortunately, me getting sick from this experience took away all the good vibes for me. The place was PACKED by the time we left at 6:30p. People were outside and inside waiting for their name to be called from the long waitlist. I truly hope that no one else got sick on Friday night.

The best seafood boil in all of San Diego in my opinion, and I've tried many places (yes, including…read moreCrab Hut). The main reasons why this is my top spot are: -Seafood Quality - the clams here are BIG and don't fall out of the shell, and the shrimp is always perfectly cooked and not mealy. The crab clusters are big and juicy as well. -Sauce - I always get the Torpedo Sauce (the house mix-of-all-of-them sauce) but instead of just tasting like garlic, lemon, old bay, "the sum is equal to more than the parts". In other words, the flavors meld together and are magical. I have heard some say that the sauce here leans sweet, and it definitely does have sugar, but I find it balanced. Also, it is mostly emulsified and does not have a thick layer of pure oil that runs off the seafood like some places' sauces. -Other Factors: they used to have a free fries deal for posting on social media (gone as of Feb '26 though), but they still have $1 oysters on some days, I like their fruit tea pitchers which are great for large parties, and they also give free Vietnamese chè for dessert! I rank this higher than Crab Hut because a) it's cheaper, Crab Hut is expensive even for seafood boil, and b) I prefer the sauce here. But Crab Hut is also S tier in San Diego so you can't go wrong with either.

The flavor overall was really good--the sauce had a nice depth and was well-seasoned. If you're…read moresomeone who enjoys spice, just note that the heat level wasn't very strong, even when ordering it spicy. That said, the shrimp and crawfish were unfortunately overcooked and came out pretty mushy, which took away from the experience. With seafood, texture really makes a difference, so that was a bit disappointing. There's definitely potential here because the flavor is solid, but hoping for better execution next time.

We sat inside, though there is also a lovely patio outside with umbrellas. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. It was a bit noisy inside since there isn't much to absorb the sound, so you may need to speak a little louder during conversation. I did find the lunch menu to be expensive. We came here to celebrate my sister's birthday, and everyone seemed happy with their dishes: a shrimp po' boy sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and pasta with tomato cream sauce and shrimp. I ordered the chicken po' boy sandwich. The sandwiches were served with seasoned fries, but unfortunately the fries looked and tasted like they had been sitting for a a while--dry and not very fresh. My chicken po' boy was disappointing. The sandwich had tomatoes and some iceberg lettuce, but no sauce, which made it very plain. While the chicken itself was tender, it lacked flavor and the overall dish felt like it wasn't prepared with much care. For a $21.50 sandwich that was essentially a few pieces of chicken breast with tomatoes, lettuce, and old fries, it felt like an expensive mistake. Perhaps other dishes on the menu are excellent. However, having grown up with a father who was a top chef, I tend to notice when simple dishes--like sandwiches and fries--aren't executed well. These are usually some of the easiest things to get right, which made the experience even more disappointing for me.
