I recently rented a storage unit from iStorage Winter Park. I am very pleased with the unit I got, the location and price. The properties pavement was just resurfaced and it looks new and clean. Local management was great but corporate sucks. Outrageous fees that led to auction paid $ 500 to stop auction and within about two Months I was back in auction again for another $500 my monthly rental is about $120. Technica lly it should be $240 that means they added $260 in fees. More than what I actually owe. I was with them for 9yers and this is how they treated me. read more

I went into renting a storage unit extremely nervous to get scammed or taken advantage of due to my age, but iStorage, and more specifically the property manager, Jim, really broke my expectations. While being completely understanding and extremely accommodating, Jim sold me on my unit within minutes, getting me exactly what I needled at a stellar price. I got all the information laid out, the unit shown, and a contract signed in 30 minutes, feeling confident and safe in my decision. When the day came to actually put my stuff away, I may or may not have lost the keys to my lock, and have needed to break the one I had and get a new one. I came to Jim and Eric and they got me squared away with a new lock and everything, completely changing my day around and getting me set up for the future. After going to 4 other storage places before iStorage and being met each time with nothing fitting my needs and a general reluctance to sell to me, I was beyond surprised when I found iStorage, and would easily recommend it for anyone due to customer service alone. read more

Zero stars for this business. We stored our travel trailer with them. Back in November someone attempted to steal it. The gate had been broken and we never received notification that the gate was broken. My husband just went to check on the trailer today and it has been STOLEN!!! Jim, who works in the office, could not have been a bigger jerk. He never apologize that our RV was stolen and he basically told us it was not his problem at all. He could not have been worse!! And what the heck have I been paying for??? I assumed that since they've been taking my money each month that my property was being watched over. What a joke!! read more

What seemed like a good idea with good rates changed. My rate has been increased three times in 6 months and my property was stolen. Although it was locked somehow someone used the key entry pad; let themselves in and took our property and then used the keypad to leave in the middle of the night. The security video was horrible so there's that. About 2 weeks later two expensive trailers were stolen. I had to get our other possessions out of there and look for another place. It might be best to shop around. A bit of advice, don't use a self storage facility that allows side jobs and other businesses that have access 24 hours a day. You might want to select a business that allows storage only without access in the middle of the night. Best of luck. read more

It was kinda strange when i went on line i booked a storage unit for my daughters stuff a few months before i needed it and the cost was like 25 per month. I called a few times before i actually came there with questions and to make sure we were all still good and every time referencing who i was and your people seemed to know who i was. When i actually got there they told me i never completed my reservation and now the cost would be $10 more a month REALLY!. I had no choice as i had the car full of stuff that i needed to store so the guy say i will check with the manager and see if he will honor the price. I never heard back from anyone so no i wouldn't recommend you or use you again. read more

We have had a storage unit at this location for many many years. There has been a noticeable improvement in how business is conducted since the new management took over last October. These people go above and beyond every time. Yesterday, I had an issue (no fault of theirs) and they did everything they could to help me. The people who run his place are just total jerks. If your a band looking to practice here over night don't bother. Randomly took us off overnight access, we called at least 6 times asking if we're were back on and every time she said yes it should work tonight. Sure enough bring two half stacks and a kit and we don't have 24 hour access. Hunt her down and finally get her to do what we had been originally paid for. Then she goes inside of unit, rum ages through our trash and takes pictures of a six pack of beer and a few yenglings. And kicks us off over night access again. I would seriously rather pay somebody to set my testicles on fire than to have to deal with this place ever again. If I could give this a negative rating I would. read more

I stored my car here for January and February this year and had great service from start to finish. The price was very reasonable compared to other long term parking options and I knew my car was in great hands while I traveled. read more

An AC unit next to our storage unit had an active leak which we were never notified of. The management had placed a dirty garbage can under the AC to catch the dripping after the initial leak. The water had already flooded the bottom of our storage unit ruining multiple pieces of art, an area rug and boxes of household items. All these items were for our daughters UCF dorm room. The Manager on site was insensitive to our position and was of no help whatsoever. He even told me standing right outside the door of the active leak that there was no leak. I then reached out to "Chris" who is supposed to be the District Manger. He did tell me he would review our pictures and look into the situation. After no call back or response from him after 10 days and numerous messages left on his business line I was able to reach him on his cell phone. He proceeded to tell me that there was a clause in our contract that protected them from any liability. (not in those words).... I have NO idea why I had to call him so many times. I have NO idea why the on site manager left a dripping AC unit go on for so long and never even contacted the tenant that was directly in line of the water flow....This business clearly does not care about its reputation or anyone's personal property. Renting storage from this company cost our family over 500.00 in replacement of dorm necessities. They have no remorse and did not even offer an apology. UCF Families BEWARE! read more

Terrible storage company. The hallways for the indoor temperature controlled storage units are so thin that it's extremely hard to bring in anything that is a little big. I had trouble squeezing in a queen size mattress. I was using the company that previously owned it called Ulock It which got bought out by iStorage. Without notice my rates were increased, an added insurance monthly charge was added without my approval and god forbid if you are more than 6 days late. They charge you an extra $20 for a week late and then an additional $30 fee if you are two weeks late. The management is extremely rude. I've made calls to pay my account and I always get sent to VM and then they don't call back. The online account to pay your bill also has issues and the password retrieval doesn't work. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I cannot wait till I move in to a new house so I can finally get my stuff out of there. read more

If youre a band looking to rehearse or store gear.. LOOK ELSEWHERE! Dave and Clay (the previous management) made a huge effort to support the local music scene (witch is pretty large considering this place is DIRECTLY next door to Full Sail). But once this corporate Istorage took over, they completely screwed us all. Not only are they a faceless, heartless corporation, but the low level "management team" are lying, knifing bastards. They told us to our faces that bands would still be allowed to rehearse and that nothing was going change as far as pricing or accessibility hours. I payed extra for 24hr access and then one day out of the blue, i was denied access after only 8:45pm.. Now.. most bands who use storage units usually need to pick up their gear for a show and then return it after the gig. usually late at night. Ive heard from other tenants that when this issue was presented to management, they said "Just take it home with you".. Well pardon me but the reason we rent from you is because we need STORAGE because we have no room at home. Also, the front building is infested with German roaches. Good luck gettting those to go away. These people ruined what was once a nice family business with a great reputation. read more
