We hired this company recently for a move of our heavier items we had not yet moved between houses…read more Over all they did a decent job. They were courteous, on time and tried to be careful with our belongings. There are a couple of small scuffs and dings on the fresh paint at the house we've moved out of and a fresh ding in the table leg of our 100 year old dining set. But it could've been worse. I would not recommend them for piano moving at all. When I was told that they did piano moving I expected that they were equipped for moving it and knowledgeable. Nope! I wasn't at the old house to see it loaded or I would've stopped them. I was at the new house waiting. Watching them roll the piano down a ramp, on a dolly was surprising. I assumed they'd have a lift on the truck for such an item. Especially since they charge extra for a piano. I cringed at the sound and sight of it bouncing down the ramp. Then they took in down the back hill to our walkout basement entrance. Bumping and vibrating the whole way. No extra care was taken of the piano. I've had this same piano moved before by professional piano movers and know that you do not move one like this company did. They are ok for basic things but I don't think I would trust them to move anything antique or musical.

Do not, do not, do not use them. Find anyone else. Before disaster struck (they loaded a pressure…read morewasher full of gas sideways and it destroyed my queen mattress and $2500 leather couch) -- they were determined to stretch the time to quoted 5-6.5 hrs (for a 2BR move 30 mins across town). I caught one of the boys wheeling a hollow bed frame by itself on a cart... Truly a pathetic bunch and I don't feel that I'm being too harsh with my words. No apology or remorse from movers or manager. Do not use them. The manager read me a 1 liner from their liability clause and told me to kick rocks.

This company moved my home about 2 weeks ago and they were terrible. I'm still sorting boxes…read more Labels weren't put on the boxes. I found shoes and my blender mixed in in one box. They didn't properly tape boxes and a few tore. It was over 3000$ for them to move me and it was fine so sloppily that I could've saved a lot of money going with people off the street. The workers were very nice but they didn't pack well at all. I'm having to hire someone to help me unpack and organize due to the careless way they packed all of my belongings. I would highly suggest finding a different company to use.

I cannot in good conscience recommend "You Move Me Cincinnati" to you…read more They took almost double the amount of time to move me as estimated because I feel the salesman low balled the estimate to make a sale. They want to get you that low estimate to get your business. They estimated $539 and then came at me with $811. I told representative "Dakota" that this was unreasonable, considering they dropped three dollys of my boxes. None were strapped down or secured. Dollys stacked with six big boxes etc. The movers could have called for someone else is what I'm told, for additional help instead of taking five hours. But did not. He offered 15% off and I said that was unreasonable. He then offered an additional $100 off. They did not credit the 15% off and have told me that I Chose the 100 instead. Why would I do that considering 15% of $811 is more than $100? More importantly why would they knowingly offer a second benefit worth less than the first and ask me to choose? Was it an honest mistake or were they trying to play me for an idiot? These people may scam you. Their five star review may be padded with fake reviews. $539 estimate. Final Bill before discounts I argued for was $1,097. Imagine that is your move. I repeat this, do not use them. Update: Through debate with management, they have credited me both the 15% and the $100. But it should be noted they did not do-so under agreement they had been at fault for the planning or cost of the move. Only because of dropping three dolly's worth of boxes. The movers, though they did make mistakes, were exceedingly pleasant for the most part. UPDATE: The broke a 120 year old violin by dropping boxes. Their "coverage" is $0.60 per pound of broken items. Better hope they break a kettle bell weight instead of your jewelry or china.

This time, I thought to try ABF because they're a trustworthy freight mover Their containers come in a smaller size than those of PODS. (I'm thinking right now that two of these containers will not hold a 3 bedroom house's contents, per the quote. You can start the quote online, make changes, and even contract for help on either end. After I finished making changes, I called the company with some questions, and as well, to get the process moving. Mark picked up the phone and was friendly and answered the questions reassuringly. It went smoothly, even though I don't have an address at the other end yet. They sent some forms, including one for Gypsy Moths since I'm moving to California. I was told that they charge after they pick up the containers. They asked me to call them when I'm ready to have them picked up. This was confirmed today. There is no early, automatic pick up. However, they have a three day loading period that doesn't cost extra. If you go beyond that, they charge you a storage fee. Since I'm already going to be charged for storage, I think it doesn't matter. Last Friday, they called to set a drop-off time for Monday, and they were closer to the late end of that window, but that's fine. It's better than the Cable company arriving after you return to work, and then, complaining that *you* blew the appointment, right? The driver was friendly and asked where to put the containers. They use a large forklift to move them from the trailer to your selected location, and they have the ability to position them at any of four angles (facing garage, facing away, facing right, facing left). The documentation says to use a flat surface, but a slanted driveway is fine.

I sent my mom and boyfriend and they wouldn't release my things unless I gave an email consent. This would be a 5 star rating if my relo cube was on time for unloading. I got a courtesy call the day of arrival letting me know about the Covid procedure and to call 1 hour before arriving to give time for my cube to be brought to the unloading space. I called 2 hours ahead and after they did the Covid paper and "checked in" they had to wait another 25-30 minutes for them to bring up the cube. The cube was supposed to already be to the front. Other than that, great company and service.
