I hadn't packed a thing as the move was very last minute, & they came over the day before my move to pack me up. They handled EVERYTHING without problem or delay. The movers each had over 25 years experience with this company. They knew their stuff, & packed me up accordingly. They were personable, polite & efficient. Great moving company!!!!They took the time to carefully wrap all of my items to ensure that they were not damaged when in storage a year ago. I recently had a military move from one side of town to another. I was left without a bed for three nights due to military movers picking up all items on a Thursday and not delivering until Monday. So after sleeping on the floor for 4 days due to military mover delays, the military movers wouldn't assemble the king bed put into storage by Ferguson the previous year. So, I called Ferguson and the following day they assembled my bed and other items left unassembled by military movers. for a very small fee. read more

Three cheers for Ferguson Moving. Ferguson supported us on two recent moves (a complete apartment relocation, then transporting a set of appliances) and both projects came off without a hitch. As expected, both teams were prompt, well prepared, and highly efficient. A peek inside the truck on moving day revealed how these folks do business: the cargo area was immaculate, and the supplies and equipment were neatly organized and well secured. And that is exactly how our move went: they took great care in packing and handling every piece of our property; made sure that all floors and banisters were thoroughly protected; and paid attention to safety at all times (use of good lifting/carrying techniques, wearing of masks, etc.). At the end of the day we had zero damage to either home (outgoing and incoming) and zero breakage of items. Moreover, the owner and both crews were a pleasure to work with. Not only were they friendly and courteous, but they went the extra mile to make sure that everything was just the way we wanted it. On the business end, the owner, Wayne, was great to work with. The estimate was close to the final price, and all costs were completely reasonable with no surprises. Ferguson Moving is clearly a company that takes pride in doing a great job at a fair price. We had a great experience with Ferguson Moving. The had good humor and were friendly, but also efficient and understanding. There were some difficult to move items that were handled with care and a 15 boxes of books that we wanted moved to a third floor bedroom that all made it there. I could not recommend Ferguson more. We have moved nine times over many years. Ferguson was by far the best of any mover we have used in the past. It was complicated because we moved from a large home into a small one with lots of stuff going in to temporary storage. Wayne gave many valuable suggestions on how get ready, make it easy on ourselves, and save money on the move that really paid off. The six guys that moved us had worked together at Ferguson for at least ten years. They were as well choreographed as any pro sports team, moving us fast and efficiently with zero damage. Ferguson Moving relocated my father yesterday and did a fantastic job. Steve, Brendan, Mark, and Rodney all were courteous, professional, and efficient. I understand they have been doing this for several years and their experience showed. They were on time, they listened to our concerns about the antiques not being the easiest to move, and then they went to work. They had the challenge of unloading the truck with impending storms, but finished just in time. All of the castors were place back on the antiques, and all beds were quickly rebuild. Nothing was damaged or marred in any way. I was impressed with how clean the truck was - even saw Steve spraying down the trailer where dirt had gotten in. I liked that the owner, Wayne Carlton came to the house to see exactly what we had to move. Definately call them if you care about the furniture you are moving. read more

Ferguson Moving was a top notch company to work with for my recent move. I live in OTR and was moving literally around the corner. There were multiple flights of stairs on each side of the move. I found the movers to be pleasant to talk with and overall extremely efficient. They stayed focused on the task and never complained about the challenges of the job. They took extreme caution with my items and not one piece of furniture was damaged in the move. From the initial communication with the owner I was impressed with the company. During the process, I had to delay my move by several days due to complication with my painters. The company was very accommodating and understanding. They worked with me to find an alternate date that still met my moving date target range. They showed up on time and were fast to start the moving process. In regards to pricing, Ferguson's was competitive compared to the other companies I called. For me the deciding factor was their pricing in combination with their stellar Angie's list rating. There are so many wonderful things to say about Wayne and Ferguson Moving. First I will say if we or any friends/family need movers, Ferguson will be the only one I suggest. Wayne came over and took inventory of our house. He's has it down to an exact science how many movers and how many trucks it will take to make the move go well. In addition to our house, we had a storage unit we wanted him to unpack and move as well. No problem he said. After packing up the house, we all swung by the storage unit and packed that up too. During the emptying of our house and the reloading of the new house, his team put down cardboard over the hardwood floors to protect them. They wrapped the bannisters. They wrapped up anything fragile. Anytime we asked "can you take this?" every time their answer way "absolutely". And if we wanted to move a box from one room to another , they just told us to point and they'd move it. Not one single item broke during the process. We bought them some lunch and they were very appreciative. To top it all off, they even said if we wanted to donate our boxes, Wayne likes to use them for folks who might not be able to afford them. I appreciate the opportunity to pay it forward. When he gave us a quote he said it would not be any more than his quote but that it might be less. And indeed it was, they finished early and he took it off the total. An amazing team of workers. Many of the movers told me that their team has been together for 10 years. Some even longer. I spent a lot of time searching for movers because of our concern for the hardwood floors in our newly built home. I found Ferguson and spent a lot of time and could not find one bad review; and rightfully so. I went ahead and scheduled the move with them. The staff was very professional on the phone and assured me that there movers were hand selected and had many years of experience. This was exactly the case. I had three movers, all of which were the hardest workers I have ever seen. They were efficient, careful, and asked before moving anything that may require extra attention. Phenomenal company and service. Our move could not have been smoother. Ferguson moved us from the Tri-county area to Union, KY. They arrived on time, had all the supplies and manpower needed, and loaded and unloaded an eight room, two-story house in about 9-hrs including transit time. The workers were courteous, personable, professional, and worked efficiently. They wrapped (in moving blankets) and taped every piece of furniture we had right down to the TV trays. They also put cardboard down on the floors at both houses to protect them. Not a single thing was broken. At the end of the day there was not a single nick, ding, scratch, or dent in any of the furniture or in the floors or on walls of the house we moved from or the house into which we moved. The final bill wasn't one cent over the original estimate, even though I'm sure it probably took more time than originally estimated. By the way, the original estimate was significantly lower than other services, and which I know from previous experience doesn't provide the same level of care for your belongings. I think one of the keys to Ferguson's great service is that the entire work crew were all long-time employees of Ferguson experienced in packing and moving, and not just local day laborers. I would highly recommend Ferguson and, although I hope I'm done moving now, wouldn't consider using any other company. read more

The move went well. They were on time and handled everything well. No damage was done to any of my items. After they had left I remembered my son's handheld Nintendo was left under a couch they moved. I went back to the first location to retrieve it and it was missing. I called and left a message with Ferguson. The owner called back; he was very nice on the phone but was positive that his employees did not see the Nintendo. I looked in every possible location at the old house. I emptied every box and looked in every storage container at my new home and the Nintendo is nowhere to be found. My son is Autistic and as a result has some OCD tendencies, He thinks he is being sneaky by hiding his Nintendo under the couch. He always keeps it there. We have the same routine each night. Where he plays it just before bath time and then puts it under the couch when his bath is ready. I know it was there prior to the move. It's a $200 video game system. After having to pay $500 for the move and then to have such an expensive item missing at the end. I would not recommend these movers. read more
