At the end of the walk through, Jared reviewed what it would take to move all of my belongings and reassured me that all items to be moved would easily fit into their standard moving van. He also said he, Jared, would arrive on the day of the move with a crew of very capable and experienced guys. However, in the day of the move Jared never showed and left me with crew with very little experience. From the very start leader expressed to me that he had doubts that everything would fit in the truck and subsequently the storage unit I had, the size of which I chose based on Jared's reassurances. From the very beginning, the crew repeatedly packed and repacked the truck to make it all fit and by the time it was fully loaded and ready to go to the storage unit they had been working for 5+ hours which was already more than the 4.5 hours I was told would be the time for the entire move, loading and unloading. When we reached the storage unit, the process was repeated. The crew began unloading but each person had a different opinion of how to get everything in the storage units. By the time everything was out of the truck and stored away, it was past 9 pm. Eleven plus hours from start to finish. At that point, the lead crew member spoke with Jared, he blamed everything on me as if my input caused them to turn into absolute morons who couldn't move their way out of a paper bag. I was present for the entire move but the only suggestions or requests I made were only made when the crew leader came to me and asked what he should do. I did ask, since I had rented 2 storage units that they try to put the furniture in the indoor unit. But when I saw the confusion that ensued, I simply told them to pack as they saw fit and that I did not want to get in their way.I I would not recommend Robinson Relocations to anybody. The owner will not respond to emails/photos of damage (I tried to mitigate without having to post a bad review). - they wasted so much time smoking/ on their phones/ hiding behind the truck talking while on the clock. Two neighbors also observed this and asked what company they were so they don't ever hire them. They walked slow & only carried only minimal items at a time. For example, 1 man had a lightweight wire shelf (about 5 lbs), told another guy to grab an end, and they slowly carried that single item in together, then wandered out texting on their phones and took another smoke break! THEY PURPOSELY DAWDLED TO GET MORE HOURS. I asked them to pick it up since I'm paying over $100/hour + fees/tip, and one rudely said "we're planning on being here for 7 hours so we'll get it done within that timeframe, no need to rush". I complained about this to the owner, and he only deducted 30 minutes off our clock! Then ignored my emails about the damages. - They threw trash (cans, bottles, cups) everywhere- around our backyard, both garages, kitchens, hidden on our shelves and in our empty flower pots! Unbelievable. - Our belongings were completely trashed! Filthy! Literally everything was either broken, damaged, or filthy with black footprints/stains. Also unbelievable. - They said they would provide furniture pads & dollies. They had only 2 small pads which were useless and NO protection for our furniture. Nothing was protected, wrapped, or covered in any way. They had a couple rolls of tape but did not use it. Items/clothes fell out of all the drawers which smashed the walls as they struggled to carry them. Clothes got dirty & stepped on. They had 1 dolly which they only used to cart the appliances from the porch to the truck, that's it. They didn't use it inside the house, and instead banged our expensive LG washer & dryer down the steps with only 1 man struggling to carry each one, and banged them into the walls. - Both houses were trashed, despite being in new/pristine condition before they came. We heard dozens of "bumps" as they carried things, and the walls & trim are now entirely gouged up. Mud on our new carpets and floors were filthy from the men walking through mud and into the house without wiping feet off. - The men used a total of 5 bathrooms between the 2 houses, leaving pee & poop splashes under all 5 toilet seats that I had just terminally cleaned for the move. They used up the last of the TP in 2 of the bathrooms and didn't tell anyone. One man smashed our brand new blinds in the bathroom instead of bothering to open them; we had just hung those the day before. - They were rude. When they had been standing around smoking for awhile I asked them to at least hand me stuff out of the truck so I can keep bringing stuff in... he actually told me to get up there and do it myself! Another ignored me and continued smoking. Another got up there and started roughly throwing things around. - My husband asked them not to walk on our sod which had just been laid the day before. Yet they trampled all over it, creating permanent footprints, gaps, and muddy patches. - Our previous crew 2 yrs ago had moved our entire house in ~6 hours, including picking up from 2 storage locations and 2 trips to a house 15 minutes away. This time we were only moving 0.3 miles away and had already spend the past 2 days moving a lot of stuff ourselves, so they definitely shouldn't have needed MORE time to get this done! - the only reason I booked this company was because I was promised that I could "definitely" have the same crew as last time. But a different (horrible) crew showed up and the owner said sorry the original crew was contractors and no longer work for the company. *So he had lied just to get me to book with them, and also lied about them supplying pads to protect our furniture, overcharged our credit card, and won't respond to emails.*
