Upon moving my property out of the unit, signing the vacate notice, leaving the unit empty and clean the regional manager "Sam" charged my account for the storage fee the following month after I vacated. I called them to make them aware of the error. They were pleasant at 1st and reimbursed my money that morning, however that afternoon they again charged my account for the storage rent. I spoke to them on the phone through out the week as well as went to the business to try to resolve the issue. The manager " Sam" became very rude and nasty. He said " I reimbursed your money, why would I need your money I have a 35 million dollar business." I showed him my bank statement where he double charged my account in 1 day. He became extremely obnoxious and said " Lady I told you I make millions of dollars a year, I don't need your money, I'm not reimbursing you" he refused to place the money back into my account. I'm paying for empty unit 7113. I'm sure he's robbed other's to make his millions. Pathetic!

This was my first time ever needing a storage unit. Ashleigh was extremely friendly and more than willing to educate me on how everything worked. She personally drove me to my unit in a golf cart since I was worried about getting lost. When I realized I was going to need a bigger unit she happily helped me get a different unit that same day. All around a very relaxed and welcoming experience. The price is the best around too.

Unit was on the interior and I thought that would prevent any damage to my items. Manager didn't take any responsibility for the flooding, blamed it on the business above them. I did not have my…read moreinformation with me to access my unit so I called at 3:30, apparently after hours and explained what I thought I needed to gain access and was assured I would be able to go into my unit. I arrived during the only time frame I had open, could not gain access, Called customer service again and was told someone would contact me immediately. This did not happen, and I had to leave without my items. I live 10 hours away, and was only in town for a 3 hour window. When I contacted the facility and told them what happened, I was assured that I would be contacted later in the week with a solution. Three weeks later, I had to contact the facility again to basically be told that it was my fault, and that there was nothing that they could do. Poor customer service to say the least. Beware storing your items here. Less than six months ago they had a flash flood and some units belongings were ruined. I still don't know if my unit was affected because I was unable to obtain access, but apparently flash floods are an issue here. Supposedly, they are going to contact me again, but I doubt I will ever hear from them. If I do, I will be more than happy to revise my review if I get any customer service.

In some cases, they offer average to good customer service. I've also experienced ridiculously bad customer service. But most recently at Star Self Storage...we have finally experienced a company who is willing to go above and beyond. The manager (who's name escapes me) is one of the most professional and helpful people I've dealt with in business. He's willing to accommodate you by showing you different options, he gives you all the information you need up front...he's recently helped us in a critical situations that otherwise would have resulted in a HUGE disaster. I recommend Star Self Service to anyone looking for a safe, clean and professionally run organization. ***** Happy Holidays!
