Secondly, my husband and I were deliberately lied to about getting 50% off the next month's rent. I was having trouble creating a login to pay my 50% off for the month of September 2016 and I called in to get some assistance and Customer Service Rep referred my call to her District Manager and after getting logged in to my surprise I notice the adjustment had not been made. When I went to question it with Management he told me that I was not able to honor it because we had not paid the first and next month's rent up front. I explained to him the Customer Service Rep. had not informed us that we had to do that. She lied to management and us and said she had told us when we signed the contract which was a third lie. Management told me we had to pay the full amount and would not be able to get an adjustment no questions asked. We decided to vacate the storage today and gave them the required 10 day notice and was still charged the full amount for September storage. I handed Dana my card for payment and she threw it back at me after the transaction while management was standing there and nothing was said. This has been an absolute nightmare of a move from start to finish. We had given simple…read moreinstructions to pick up at 2 locations and drop off the combined stuff into a single location. At the second location they were bringing my piano up the stairs. Why would I move a piano to a place we are moving from? Next, they laid all of our boxes upside down in the new place. All my containers like grits, oatmeal, and oil spilled all over the place naturally. It's so much more effort to flip a box than to just pull it off a dolly ‍. They laid an ottoman with a lid on upright instead of flat on the ground and naturally all my stuff fell out. Boxes were broken at the bottom, and they just seemed to have thrown them around. Then, they couldn't move my piano up a second flight of stairs even though they were so ok with doing it at the second location, it has been sitting at the bottom of my staircase blocking access to the laundry for 4 days. You know they also wanted a tip by the way. I'm also magically missing a box of shoes that had a pair of vintage inside. I called about that, the guy who answered said he would look and call me back. I never heard anything. Then, after waiting all week (we moved Sunday, it was rescheduled to Friday), they were supposed to come bring my piano up the first flight of stairs, they never showed up. We weren't even asking for them to bring it up to the third floor like we want. I called that morning at 9am and they confirmed they would be coming out after their first move of the day today. At 5:51pm, I called again, and the guy who answered the phone said someone already called to tell us they wouldn't do it and I needed to get professional movers. They didn't. I never heard anything since my confirmation this morning. Now I'm going to call actual professional movers. Overall without including the tip this crap job cost $1200 ( I was quoted $810) and they didn't even finish Update: when they reach out about lost items they expect you to have a receipt and photos of each item. They lost an entire box of shoes with over 20 pairs! Who has receipts for all of that! And if they disagree with you they will pursue legal action and require you to pay their legal fees on top of everything. This place is an absolute scam.

Unfortunately the unit is covered in white stuff falling from the ceiling, had to cover my belongings so they wouldn't continue to be covered as well. My biggest complaint is they jacked up the price after a few months , went from paying $79 to almost a $100. Luckily it's not a huge deal to me financially but if you are trying to save every penny I would beware !! There are better units out there for $100 where your belongings won't get dirty

During the move floors were unprotected and gouged and scratched and walls were also scratched and gouged. A 3 piece wall unit was ripped apart without the connecting bolts removed. In addition, 2 of the 6 glass doors were broken. A dryer and freezer were both damaged and the freezer stopped working. Parts were left anywhere. For example, 2 futons were taken apart. At the new house futon parts were found in the garage, some in the kitchen and others in the basement. Shelves to a bookcase were not found. Trash was left behind in our yard after they left. This is not a comprehensive list, just the major highlights. I filed a claim, and almost 4 months later here are the results. The damages to floors and walls cost over $1600 to fix. They offer $0 to repair. The bookcase cost $1100 30 years ago, and $7000 to replicate. They offer $850. The freezer reimbursement offer was $60. I elected $10,000 insurance, but you see the results of my claim submission.
