Packed up the truck well to avoid breakage of belongings
Stephen C.

Save yourself a couple hundred dollars (for us it was a thousand plus dollars) - and take a look at Bolt Moving when moving in Cincinnati. When I was quoted a cost to move from my 2 bedroom - 2,000 sq foot apartment to a new house from Bolt Moving which was less than 1/3 of the cost of my typical go-to company - Two Men and a Truck - I thought to myself this has to be too good to be true. But I figured, with 4.5 star rating on yelp, this must be worth a shot. What a story on move in day - when the time had arrive to the movers to arrive, I called them to see where they were at - I was shocked to find out that there had been a logistical mixup and they were not aware of my move that day - having boxed up all my belongings already, friends and family waiting at the house, and with the freight elevator/loading dock booked weeks in advance - this was a real world moving day nightmare... Amazingly, the owner, Rahs made it happen. Not sure how he pulled it off - but a crew was on location within 20 minutes and ready to go. Rahs even came personally to apologize for the mixup and since I was originally promised 3 people, he himself teamed up with the other 2 and was moving our belongings. Classy move and it is good to see an owner with that much commitment to the customer experience and is not scared to get his hands dirty. Movers themselves were very professional and friendly. They moved quickly and were very efficient at their jobs. They used an assembly line process where one individual would carry over the freight elevator while other 2 would load the elevator then the truck. For a job which may have took 3-4 hours just to move out from the apartment - it took them less than 2 hours. I would not call them the most gentle movers out there - but hard to say that about most moving companies - so make sure you box up your belongings well and use bubble wrap where needed. No standalone belongings were broken, and with 15-20 boxes, we only ended up with 1 broken picture frame - I'll take it. Once we got to the house, the movers were patient and accommodating - yet fast. They helped us re-assemble any furniture which had to be broken down and placement of the furniture was done well. If it were not for the initial mixup - this would be 5 stars based on quality and value. Greatest recovery I have seen thus far in the service industry - good work and thank you Rahs.

NIGHTMARE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The 2 guys that showed up to move my belongings argued…read morethe entire time (while carrying my belongings) and at one point I thought that they may fist fight (while moving my 70" flat screen TV). It turns out that they were related and the regular guy that worked with the local on call moving companies was not available that day so he "let" his brother work in his place. The "brother for the day" had to leave halfway through the job to pick up his girlfriend and her kids...which was fine with me because I wanted them gone!! I used Maple Street Movers from a brochure that was in the lobby of my apartment building downtown and since I was moving one block away from where I lived I thought I would give them a try . Even the apt maintenance guy assigned to oversee the move and operate the freight elevator for the building witnessed what I was dealing with and offered to get management to walk them off the property but I got concerned that not only did they know where I lived...they knew where I was moving to... so I wanted to keep the peace as best that I could. Needless to say the apartments immediately discarded all the brochures for the company. The manager said he sat out the brochures because they owner of Maple Street Movers (Courtney Alexander) had attended a recent Downtown Resident Council Meeting and he wanted to show support for another downtown business. Needless to say, my belongings had damages and I offered the company a VERY CHEAP settlement to compensate for the NIGHTMARE (since they charge UP FRONT for their services) but they decided to pay an insulting amount instead so I filed a complaint with the BBB to warn others of their practices (which they ignored responding to) and I filed a small claims court action against them to get a refund of my money (based upon their advertisement that I received via email stating a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE if not satisfied with their service). I found along the way in that Court process that they had their KY (not Ohio) business filed with the secretary of state with a mailing address of the Staples office supply store in Florence KY. While trying to serve the Complaint it was returned not able to be served so I had to refile it using an address for the company name that charged my charge card for the services (Alexa Corp) also owned by Courtney Alexander in the state of Ohio. To date I have refiled the case over service issues from refusing to sign for the Complaint (even with a paid Court Bailiff). The Nightmare continues......I am writing this review after reading another posted nightmare kind of review about this company. I apologize for the length it has taken to make my point, but, I am warning you that you will not have a good experience if you use this company. I will NOT give up pursuing them because it REALLY was THAT BAD!!! Call D & R Movers or Two Men & a Truck...it is worth paying the little extra for professionals that care!!! Not sure why my city and state is appearing like I am in CA...most likely a computer protection thing that I have on my computer....So, I want to confirm that I have the RIGHT company and the City that I had the services provided in is Cincinnati, Ohio.

I would not recommend. The advertisement states 2 men for 2 hours but he showed up late with his…read moregirlfriend and 3 children. I had to ask them multiple times to keep theor children from running around my home. So NO 2 men for 199. They immediately charge your card. Also during the move my marble table was broken and he promised to pat for 50% of damage cost. Haven't heard from him since. I would not recommend him and his girlfriend at all. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and doesn't reach back our.
