If not for the owner's behavior, this would be a five-star review. Bruce and Ryne, the two movers who showed up, were phenomenal--professional, respectful, and tireless. They worked quickly but carefully, took only one short break, and kept positive attitudes through an exhausting fourteen-hour day. They were the bright spot in an otherwise dark experience. We chose Clark & Sons because their website emphasizes "strength in unity," professionalism, and care. Sadly, none of those values were reflected in how we were treated. Our written quote clearly stated $189 per hour for a three-man crew and one truck to move our three-bedroom home about twenty-five miles. On October 11, only two movers arrived at 9:15 a.m. They immediately called the company to report they needed help. We overheard multiple calls throughout the day asking for assistance, yet no one was ever sent. Because there were only two movers instead of three, the job took from 9:15 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. At the end of the night, Ryne called the owner, Clark, to discuss payment and handed the phone to my husband. My husband first praised Bruce and Ryne for their hard work, then raised the issue of the missing third mover. Clark's response was hostile, abusive, and threatening. He called us "thieves," said he was driving to Indianapolis and would "turn his car around" to come to our house to "embarrass us in front of our neighbors", and physically attack my husband. When my husband confronted him about his behavior, Clark threatened to call the sheriff. His aggression destroyed any sense of trust. We refused to provide our credit card number, fearing he might overcharge us, and instead requested a secure payment link like the one used for our deposit. Five days later, on October 16 around 11 p.m., my husband began receiving repeated calls from 513-264-2622. When he finally answered, the same man admitted it was him--the same Clark who had threatened us--and said he was "frustrated that day." He then demanded that my husband make me remove a review, even though I had not written one. When my husband refused, Clark continued calling--**six times between 10:49 and 11:04 p.m.--**and finally texted: "If you get that review removed, I'll give you $1,000 right now." Screenshots confirm both the quote and the repeated calls. Sadly, the harassment has continued with more calls today. And so NOW I am writing a review. We've moved many times, across states and even internationally, and have never experienced such unethical and threatening conduct from a moving company--let alone from its owner. Adding to the irony, Clark & Sons promotes itself as a Christian, family-owned business. Their trucks display Bible verses and crosses, and they advertise in the Christian Blue Pages under the phrase "Strength in Unity." Affordable Movers move my furniture they had did a lot of damage they had six men and the trucks were not as big they even rented some. I was excited because they had six men, and I thought they knew what they were doing. The movers were all over the place. They didn't coordinate things. Everything was boxed. The furniture was never wrapped at all. There was only a few furniture that I literally had some saran wrap type things to wrap them so they wouldn't damage my furniture. They were disorganized, not caring. They were all over my house using my water using my chargers. It was the most horrible Movers I ever had and I moved around six times. This was the worst in history. They finally finished which I was moving locally apparently they left half my belongings at the old house, and at my new house, they left the washer in the kitchen. The dryer in the garage. All beds were not put together. My flooring in the master was a brand new flooring they indented it so bad please do not use this company ever again. I am carrying a lawsuit with them they damaged my walls and etc., and I thank God that I have not sold the other property so it took me a while to fix the property to put it on the market. It's been a year but I'm finally ready to put it into words. Last year we were set to move into our brand new home. It's a time of craziness and anticipation and excitement. My wife found a Groupon for this company and money was tight after paying closing costs so this seemed perfect. When we set up the move appointment, they encouraged to make a cash payment as additional fees would apply to use credit. Fine. Day of the move they called us 10 minutes before they were supposed to be there to say they would be running 3 HOURS behind! Of course this really messed up moving day plans when you have family and other help offering to help you get moved and unpack etc. When we asked for a discount on the price they said they couldn't do that, but would send extra help for no additional charge. Not ideal, but ok. When they got there they asked if we wanted the regular free insurance or the premium which cost more money. We already had the exact cash quoted and were not told of any other options prior so we took the standard free insurance. These guys must be bonded and insured, right? A few days later I got around to setting up the downstairs tv, a Vizio 68" tv I had just bought a few weeks prior for $1200. When I plugged it in it was just stripes of red and a lit up cracked pattern within the screen. When we called to file an insurance claim they wanted to come see the damage. We arranged a time and the guy never showed up. When we called him he then explained that or free insurance only would cover reimbursement of like 30 cents per pound which would be like $30-50! He then claimed there was no way they could have damaged the tv because he "wrapped it up like a baby." We fought with them for weeks until we were exhausted and gave up. We would call the Corp. Office in Indiana and they would blow off or concerns. We finally just asked to get the per lb. payment to recoup something. Guess what? That check never showed. Look at any other site reviews of this company and you'll see similar stories over and over. I cannot believe they are still in business, let alone have no reviews prior to mine on Yelp. If you value any of your belongings, my personal opinion is they cannot be trusted. I wouldn't let these guys even move a cat turd.

They showed up on time, didn't need a lot of direction, and were super safe, careful, well-stocked with supplies, and efficient. Almost as important, they were kind and professional with my building manager and other residents. And Anthony has some impressive driving skills! He backed a 26' truck down into a tight driveway and into the INSIDE corner of a curved slope. I've never even seen anyone do that with a smaller truck.
