At the time, they made an obvious mistake in its installation (installed backwards, I.e., access to equipment was put on the wrong side) but were able to do a reasonable workaround and so I gave them a very good review. This past year, I noticed a crack in the spa and contacted them since the spa was still covered under its original warranty. After a number of calls, they finally came out to review the damage and told me that the manufacturer required them to take a number of pictures (many with a level) to demonstrate that the spa had been properly installed and that once repaired, the crack would not recur. No issues were noted but I did not hear back from them. I then had to continually follow up with them as to the status of my needed repair. Finally, I was told that they would have to disassemble the structure housing the spa and take more pictures. I told them that that was fine as long as they committed to rebuilding it once it had been disassembled. Again, I did not hear back from them and I had to make repeated attempts to contact them to try to move forward. I should note that since the initial structure had been built by Harbor Hut Tubs we made a decision to replace our cedar deck with a harder wood, including the sheathing on the hut tub structure. In the end, Harbor Hot Tubs informed me that the reason for the crack in the spa was because of the change in sheathing on the hot tub structure. They never came to look at the spa again after the first visit and offered no proof to support their conclusion, simply stating that it was my problem and that they would be happy to recommend someone that I could hire to repair the crack. I also called the manufacturer (Hydropool) directly about this issue and I was told that the explanation offered didn't make sense but they never followed up with me in spite of indicating that they would. I have called them again but they are not returning my call. The bottom line is that neither Harbor Hut Tubs nor Hydropool have been willing to honor the warranty offered on the spa they sold me and have offered no evidence of responsibility on the part of anyone but them. This was a very frustrating experience with a demonstrated lack of communication from both the manufacturer and the retailer and a clear unwillingness to honor their commitment. It was clear from the start that Harbor Hot Tubs was looking for reasons not to repair the spa. I would strongly recommend not using Harbor Hot Tubs for the installation of a spa or purchasing a Hydropool Spa.

Where do I begin to tell you all how lucky I was to find the people at Suffolk Liner. When I went…read moreto open my pool this May, we saw that we lost about 75% of the water. Finding a quality company to come in and handle this problem during the "peak" time of the year for pool openings and service was really difficult. My pool company who built the pool (8 yrs old) were of no use, they wouldn't help me because"I wasn't an active customer. I found Suffolk liner by luck when I was at my dentist. I was getting a root canal and I was telling him the story of my pool. He said to me that he used Suffolk liner and was very happy. I already hired someone but began to have second thoughts when they did not show when they said they would. When I got in my car, I called Suffolk Liner and spoke to Jan, the owner. He had said that they were extremely busy but he will help me and have his site manager to get in touch with me. The next day, I was contacted by Arak, who assured me that he will take care of us and get this resolved as soon as possible. WE made an appointment for the next day. Arak came to the house and looked at the pool and liner problem which was now tearing from stress and he again assured me that he will get us into our pool by July 4th. We sat and chose a beautiful liner that was totally different from our prior liner and he gave me a very fair price that I was happy with. He again soured me that this will be all resolved soon and that the liner will be ordered the next day. (I already had the measurement s and was using the same liner company, which saved us time because no measurements were needed). He said the liner will be in in 2 weeks and then we will set up the install. Suffolk liner called me at about 2 weeks and we set the date for install. The installation crew was just amazing! The team of 4 powerhouses were Moniek, Marek, Eryk and John. They came fired up for the install and immediately went in, drained the remaining water and then began slicing up the old liner and placing into garbage bags that were not too heavy and easily handled. They placed all the liner bags in a spot that I designated fro easy load into my car to take to the dump. (Hampton Bays- we hire our own garbage pick up and I brought the liner to the dump). They do not take the liner away, which I was fine with. The crew began to work diligently to reshape my pool basically going over the entire pool with a trowel making it perfect. They also had to remove all summer plates (3) and my 6 lights, which is a cumbersome task. I also had 6 drains in the deep end to be removed and reset as well. They worked into the night setting the new liner into place with what I feel was a perfect installation. They all strategically moved that liner and got it ready for filling and setting the vacuum to remove air as the liner fills. 2 days later they came back to do all the cutouts of skimmers and then reinstall my lights. Once the at was done, they called me out to see that everything was working perfectly and I continued to fill the pool. They even did some last minute rolling of a spot on the bottom to make it nice and smooth. The team and the entire staff at Suffolk liner were all truly amazing and went above and beyond to help me out and get us back in our pool by July 4th!! Jan was a life saver going out of his way to see that they got me into the schedule immediately. Arak was our savior delivering a top notch team of installers and a beautiful liner. The entire job was smooth and. Amazing to watch. Please check out my before and after pictures!!! I enthusiastically recommend Suffolk Liner for your new liner installation!
