Then, go a little deeper and then your in the flatware zone. Dishes, cups, mugs, glasses, cocktail shakers, everything you need for a Long Island affair. In the back is the sweet spot, the furniture. Outdoor furniture, bakers racks, coffee tables, chest of drawers, bed frames, everything you need to sit, sleep and rest. Ahhh.. Back to chairs, wifee is frantically looking for 30 outside chairs. I know in my mind what I want, a wrought iron bench so two people can sit comfortably. Sure enough I find it! Except it doesn't have cushions, its only an iron bench. I grab a sales associate and ask, do you have a cushion section? Nah, its all grab and go. I tell wifee, picture making iced tea and my nieces sitting on this bench. Where are the cushions?! Here's a bottom, we can use nice outdoor pillows we saw up front (Wheels turning) Yes! Here's the best part: The beautiful bench with matching pillows was originally $550 bucks. Pottery Barn Outlet - Do you know who's the ultimate shopper?! #me - Furniture Stores Near Me - Riverhead, New York

For fans of the Pottery Barn, this place is great! A lot of the little knick knacks and frames, candles and stuff like that can be had at 25-50% off what you'd spend in the store. Although they have some displays, this is more of a warehouse so don't expect to get tons of ideas the way you would when you walk into an actual Pottery Barn store. A lot of the furniture is scratch and dent stuff or mismatched pieces to desk sets, sectionals, etc. So you generally won't go in and find a dining table with all its matching chairs ... Or a sectional with all its pieces. Its hit or miss ... Sometimes you can find a chaise lounge with all its cushions. Other times its just the cushions or the lounge chair. The items are final sale as of this year which is a bit of a bummer because it was nice to be able to bring comforters or pillows home to see how they looked and then bring them back if they don't fit with your decor. I've bought a lot less there on the whole because of this policy. Don't expect to go in and furnish a house with matched pieces. However, occasionally if you go in looking for a sofa or dining table, you'll save $300-$500 on one with very minor imperfections. They don't ship and will not hold an item for more than 12 hours which is why I took a star off. I think if you pay for an item, they should give you 48 hours to arrange transportation. Unless you have access to a truck, buying the bigger pieces is tough. However, there are very few Pottery Barn outlets and you will usually spend more than you plan to here because they have that big of a selection. Also, if you are a AAA member or Tanger Club member, you can get a 10% off non-clearance priced item coupon. (Sometimes they are in the coupon book, other times not but if you show your AAA card at the register usually they give you the discount.) read more

Located within Tanger Outlets in Riverhead on Long Island. It's a large store that has turned it's focus on clearance furniture sales for high end pieces. The price tags are good compared to the catalog prices! Some scratch and dent sales but definitely worth a visit if you are looking for some quality furniture at a discounted price. How cool is Pottery Barn? I just went to the Outlet this weekend....and they just changed it around. It is much more organized and easier to shop. It is cleaner- and everything has it's own spot. I love it! The best news is that I found the exact same things that I can find in the regular Pottery Barn Outlet but at Outlet prices! I got all my glass ware and white dishes at 30% off. The exact same stuff- it was not seconds, or knock offs or damaged product. Perfectly great stuff. I also bought a whole backyard outdoor collection. They have a great line called Cheaspeake- it is the same stuff that you can find online- but at the Outlets! Crazy good. Love it. I saved hundreds of dollars on my Outdoor Furniture. The Riverhead PB Outlet has gone down hill. I used to LOVE it here. I'd go out of my way to shop in this store. When I purchased my first house, I furnished quite a bit of it with items I bought at this very outlet; brand new furniture, still in its original box or in pristine condition, curtains, bedding, . . . all at ridiculously low prices compared to their full price retail store. But in the past few years, a lot has changed. Now their sales, for the most part, aren't any better than sales at the full price store. And, if you can believe it, sometimes the outlet has HIGHER prices! Also, they amended their return policy. They no longer accept returns. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. So why shop here? This used to be a MUST STOP IN store when I was near the outlets. Now, occasionally, I will stop in if I have time to kill just to see if anything has changed. But, thus far I've been disappointed. Recently purchased a Blake Bar $499.00 and 40 % off at the outlet and paid more than in the retail store. This is extremely upsetting since the item was $100.00 dollars more at the outlet. When I phoned to ask how this could be I was advised that I should have checked the retail website and if it was less the outlet would have matched the price. Nice experience. There are some good values here but also there are some items here which are close to regular price and not much of a savings compared to the regular Pottery Barn store. This store is well stocked with bedding, funriture (lots damaged) lighting and other accessories. I found some good deals in bathware and some current lines which were at regular retail at the PB store where about 30% off here. They carried an extensive selection of Pottery Barn Organic Bedding and I scored a sham for $14.99 (retail $49.99) and a eurosham for $19.99 (retail $59). This was in the maltease collection which is still current and timeless. read more

First time at the PB outlet and had a great experience there. The layout is pretty huge and has a good selection of home goods. They also have a corner in the back of West Elm furniture and of course a PB teen and kids section near the right side front of the store. They had glass tumblers for $1.99 each while some other stuff were still pretty expensive for outlet prices. I'm sure there are hits and misses everytime you visit but I scored a really great deal for a West Elm bookcase secretary desk which turned out close to 80% off the sticker price at the register. I was as shocked as the cashier who I believe is a manager in the store. They held it for me the whole day while I continued to shop the other stores. When we came back to pick up, it was really easy. We just pulled up to the front and their stock guy loaded the desk in the car. I am pretty happy with my purchase and will def. be back because you never know what you may find. read more

Great items at really good prices and the best customer service I've ever received at any furniture store. I called before making the drive out there to check on the items I wanted to purchase. The person that answered the phone was very patient and helpful in sharing similar items they had in stock since they didn't have exactly what I was looking for. When I got there, everyone that worked there (sales, cashier, and the person that helped us load up the car) they were all great! I think there was a guy there named Don that went above and beyond to figure out the price of an item that wasn't tagged. He also helped wrap our items and loaded up our car. The managers were very helpful when I called to resolve a small issue with my purchase. They told me they'd follow up the next day to resolve everything and they did! Needless to say, this is a great team working at this store! I'll be back! read more

Beware of prices. The original price that they take their markdown from can be much higher then the price in their catalog. ( in my case almost $200). When I questioned this I got 2 different answers both of which did not make any sense. ( eg. they included the shipping and the shipping surcharge that i would have paid if i got it delivered brand new from the catalog, problem is the outlet original price was even more then that!!!! And of course I did not get it delivered and mine had a big damage for the price i paid) SO do not think you are getting the deal that they say- very misleading. read more
