A few companies responded. One company was booked until September while another company declined. A third company was able to show up the same day to measure and provide an estimate. MacVane Electrical was the fourth company to reply but was the quickest to provide an estimate after I texted pictures of the circuit boxes as well as an approximate distance. I was hesitant due to lack of online reviews. Phil (Sr.) quickly responded in the same evening with an estimate as well as a commitment to show up the next day to do the work. Phil (Jr) arrived the next day (Tuesday) as promised along with Ray, and both got the work done in about 2 hours. Both are super nice guys. Turns out Phil and his father started the company just 6 months ago, hence there are few to no reviews online. They are friendly, clean, and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done. Phil Jr was so thorough that after he finished and left, he called the sauna company to verify the type of plug the sauna required. He then came back an hour or so later to replace the receptacle to the correct type. I brought my Banker's tiffany lamp to John last week. The switch was broken. He fixed it in a few…read moredays. He handled this lamp with TLC. He explained to me the lumins of bulbs, and how the higher the lumins, the hotter the bulb. I think that contributed to the demise of the switch. Too much heat. But I will vouch that this was such a pleasant experience. The owner is an older woman in a shop full of lamps, shades, and yes some dust, with no heat. But she is just like my grandmother, shuffling around doing what she loves, by the way it looks, for decades.
