No rating they came to look at the job but never gave a quote what a joke..looks like that's how they run there business..

Really poor experience. Loma was confirmed to come to my property for a quote at a certain time, which I rearranged my schedule at work to be able to accommodate. Instead of proactively letting me know he was running late, I had to check in with him 15 min prior to confirm, where he tells me he will be an hour late. I was unavailable at this time, so I called him to reschedule. He did not answer my phone calls or even ask if this new time worked for me. Very unprofessional and non-responsive. Do not use if you expect to have a high level of customer service and consideration. read more

I contacted Loma for a demo of my old concrete patio and brick pavers. He came out the next day (Friday) and gave me a fair quote to remove the old and pour my fresh patio. Monday he showed up as promised and demolished the old, Tuesday his crew removed all the old and built the forms and on Wednesday morning my new patio was poured. Looks great! I highly recommend Loma and his crew. They are on time and do quality work... which isn't always easy to find. read more

A liquid amber tree had destroyed my walkway with it's root system and as part of redoing my entire front yard I needed someone to come and replace my walkway. I called and left a message and within an hour my call was returned and Loma told me he could come by later that afternoon to give me an estimate. He showed up on time and gave me an estimate that was very fair. He told he would complete the job in one day and would start at 7am the next morning. At 7am Loma and his crew were out front and removing my walkway. If I wasn't expecting them I wouldn't have even known they were there that's how quiet they were. They demo'd the old concrete, removed several roots big enough to lift the walkway and crack it, removed all grass and weeds, laid the frames and poured the new concrete all within 3.5 hours. By 10:30am the only person left was the finisher that did the final smoothing and detail work. At 1pm the job was complete. The finisher told me Loma would be by in early in the morning to remove the frames and as promised by the time I woke up and looked outside they were gone. In less than 24 hours of contacting Loma the job was complete. I just needed to wait until morning to walk on it. As concrete jobs go mine wasn't very complicated, but they did a fantastic job as you can see for yourself in the pictures. read more

Loma and his crew removed old concrete from our backyard and poured new concrete and laid gravel. I looked at work of several South Bay contractors and Loma was one of the only ones I could find whose work is modern and up to date. We are super happy with their final work. Loma and his crew (Poncho, Fidel, and Gonzalo) did an excellent job on our front porch extension. We had multiple people come out and give a quote but Loma provided us with one of the better solutions that we were looking for. With a couple of days notice, Loma was able to quickly get out and get the job accomplished in 2 days. Would definitely recommend and use again! read more

We needed to extend our driveway in December 2019 by approximately 240 square feet. I called Loma, and he not only answered the phone right away, but he came over the same day to look at the property. He gave a fair estimate and we worked out the payment details. We ran into a roadblock regarding the payment, but Loma came up with a solution that worked for both of us. All that to say he thinks win-win. We also worked together to come up with a plan to pour the concrete in between Christmas and rainy days. They poured the concrete on December 27, 2019 and it looks great! We definitely recommend Loma and his company for your concrete needs. read more

Lomar and his crew got to work on my job the day after I received his very well priced bid. While they laid the frames for concrete, I was just getting call backs from other contractors for bids! They were on time, used quality materials, courteous and fast. The design called for staggered unattached stairs on a slope--not an easy task, but these guys made it look easy. Lomar recommended a sand finish for a modern effect and I absolutely love it. He's going to come back next week and complete the landscaping. I highly recommend this family company! read more

Loma and his crew did a fantastic job on my 20' x 38' driveway. It's Grey cement with sand finish and diamond-shaped cuts. High quality work and best price in town! Job was done in just 2 days. He will go the extra mile to satisfy the customer. He will try his best to reasonably accommodate last minute requests if they are doable. His crew has a positive attitude too and they are happy on the job. One of the few contractor contact info that I will be keeping and recommending to family, friends and neighbors. read more

I really liked Loma and his crew. The work was high quality, they worked with me when questions came up, and they did the work fast. I'm impressed with the quality of the concrete work, and how level it is - it's nearly perfect and I know that can be rare. The joints were formed well and the finish is clean and even. Nice professional work. The people that did the work were friendly, seemed to enjoy their work, and were cool to talk to. I'd hire him again I'll take photos once I clean the slabs off read more

The guys at islander did a great job and I was so happy with everything. I talked to Loma to set up the initial quote and layout, he came out right away and was super nice and knowledgeable on what needed to be done. We needed a block wall extension on the side of our house. They started the job a week later and it came out great! All the guys working the job were so nice and so courteous and knew what they were doing. The finish product came out exactly what we wanted. They were quick, affordable, and professional. Made it easy to get it done. I highly recommend islander for all and any jobs you need done. To whom it may concern beware when dealing with Loma get it in writing do not pay cash. I have spent over $5000 and all I wanted was a nice looking driveway the cement has dried with dark spots throughout. Now I will need to have the concrete stained, painted or some other finish to get a nice uniform look. My job was a lack of professionalism. Can't emphasize enough to look for someone else to do your concrete mine was not a good experience. Oh and get this even the concrete Pumper said beware he's an asshole he likes to bully people be careful. At his point it was a little late for me to change my mind very disappointed in the job I got I will never ever recommend to anyone you're better off also if you just stay away find somebody else read more

I bookmarked Islander Concrete Construction on Yelp for a long time, knowing that at some point I was going to need some concrete work for our home improvement project. I contacted Lomar and briefly described our need. He said he'd be happy to come take a look at the project and we scheduled a time to meet the same day. Not only was Lomar punctual, but he was professional and thorough. He gave me a great price for our project and offered to start the following day. We agreed to Monday. I called him on a Friday and by Monday afternoon, I had a freshly concreted backyard. They were quick, clean, thorough, I am so pleased. We have been getting a lot of rain in SoCal and the muddy puddles in the back were causing some problems for our unfinished construction. Lomar understood the urgency of our project and delivered. They did what they were contracted to do. They were quick and did everything in one day. 4 stars because after they left, I found 3 screws in the middle of the driveway and freshly painted decks got ruined from workers shoe marks.
