If I could give Aidan and his team 6 stars I would. Out of about 4 or 5 contractors that we have worked with over the last couple of years Aidan and his team have surpassed all of my expectations. Not only was his team professional, clean, strong (they had to remove not one but 2 giant tree roots while digging to lay the concrete), incredibly fast (the whole job was done in 4 days), and kind but he went above and beyond our expectations. On Saturday evening when the job was complete, neighborhood kids decided to draw their name in our beautiful new concrete. Here I am again with another 5 star contractor. Aidan (the owner) and his crew lead by Jeremiah did a full backyard hardscape for my wife and I, including an outdoor kitchen and front hardscaping. When I look at reviews, I generally like 'before' and 'after' shots, because it takes an artist and craftsman to truly transform 'something from nothing (in our case, worse than nothing)!' So, in the next (14) pics you will get an idea of what Aidan had to work with and what he did, ALL to my and my wife's liking. Suffice it to say, Aidan was wonderful to work with, was always on time, always kept his word, and over the 6 months we worked with him, he never disappointed. And, to top it all off, he was super competitive, meaning he beat the other 2 outfits I was getting quotes from. We used RSC to remove a 20x20 concrete pad in our backyard. They're awesome. Fun guys, too. Justin tells good dad jokes. Aiden was very communicative and flexible. I think the last guys name was Conrad and he had this sweet T-shirt head wrap that'd he'd swing around like a pony tail. Cracked my wife and I up. They showed up right on time and went to work. This review is a long time coming. Greg and his team deserve their accolades. As an avid DIY couple living and renovating our first home, we certainly hold all of our contractors to the same high standards which we put into our home. Hiring Rock Solid to do our driveway was the best decision. I had a very specific concrete job for them and wanted it executed a certain way. I even asked them to visit a house in MB to view some concrete pads that I saw off the rear of a house and they happily drove by to inspect that work. I wanted that look but for our entire driveway. They nailed it. Perfect job. And not only that, their TEAM is phenomenal. Everyone was able to communicate with me and my husband. Nothing was lost in translation. They take pride in their work and it shows. I wouldn't hire anyone else and already recommended them to friends. On time, on budget, quality work, incredible communication. These guys are fantastic! Professional, courteous, prompt, honest, trust-worthy, and a great value! The job: Remove and replace about 1000 sq ft of concrete driveway and patio, add a front step, rear step, and a new walkway. Aidan arrived on time to provide the quote, took detailed measurements and notes. Within a few days I had a detailed written quote in hand outlining all of the options, exactly as I had asked. The following Monday, Aidan arrived on time with his entire crew, ready to work. All of the demolition was complete in a single day. Most of the demolition work occured immediately adjacent my newly stuccoed house, and much to my satisfaction, there was not a single scratch anywhere. Tuesday, Aidan and his crew finished the manual grading to ensure the proper slope and began building the forms. Wednesday, forms were complete and some rebar was installed Thursday, rebar was complete in the morning and then the rain arrived No work on Friday Monday at 7:30 AM the concrete was flowing. There are a couple of very key things that I appreciated about working with Aidan. 1) He knows his (and his crew's) limitations - He sub contracted the demolition to one of the best Bobcat operators I've ever watched. He sub contracted a dump truck (we filled two of them by the way) rather than ordering a roll-off. 2) He's prompt - If he said he was going to be at my house at a certain time, he was there 5 minutes before. 3) He listens. No seriously, I mean he truly listens. My concerns became his concerns and made sure they were addressed quickly and to my satisfaction. 4) He's genuinely a really nice guy! Casey and the Rock Solid crew re-graded our side yard, which had severe drainage problems. They also made other badly needed drainage improvements around the perimeter of our home. We have nothing but great things to say about them and their work. - Quality of work: Excellent. Everything drains exactly the way it is supposed to now. - Price/Cost: Excellent. We received quotes from four different contractors rated highly on Yelp. Rock Solid's quote was best. - Professionalism: Superb. Showed up on time everyday. The entire crew was super polite, worked their tails off the entire time, and left everything very clean when the job was done. My garage almost looked cleaner than when we first bought the house. - Customer Service: The Best. A few weeks after the job was done, I called Casey and asked him if it would be possible to expand one of the drainage holes. These guys are the real deal. We're not even completely finished with our project, but I have been so happy with their work that I wanted to write this review. So far they've installed an outdoor shower with wood beam screen, new redwood steps, bench seating around a tree, board form concrete bbq island with polished concrete top, gas lines for firepit and bbq and concrete base for patio tile installation. These guys showed up every morning and stayed until that days work was complete. They are communicative, flexible and willing to go the extra mile for their clients. You can tell that they care about their craft. Aidan is so easy to work with. Justin, Charlie and Jeff were so helpful in answering questions and helping us make decisions and involving us in most of the process. Jeff even stayed to season the bbq grill after he installed it. Clearly there are people who feel very positively towards this contractor. I wish I could add to the positive reviews. But I can't: Called this contractor on May 4th, and followed up with an email later that day. No reply to either. On May 9, I phoned again. As of 5/11 still no reply. I get that contractors are busy these days. I also get that business managers can have personal emergencies that affect customer contact. However the responsible way to handle these situations is to modify the website to add language along the lines of "We're sorry, but due to high demand, we are unable to accept new customers. We hope to increase our availability in the near future and look forward to serving your needs then. Please check our site again in the future" Likewise, the general contact email could be automated to state something similar. When openings become available again, the website can be returned to its normal state. As a business owner, I always took the time to briefly respond to inquiries, even if I was unable to take on new jobs at the time --- creating a good impression in such situations could lead to return business when openings did become available. By letting people know we were not available, it prevented them from wasting their time and waiting for a reply that never came, before looking elsewhere for the service. Their lack of response tempted me to give a 1-star rating. But in view of their perfect record, I did not want a single review to needlessly exaggerate the reduction in rating, and I felt that someone who gets consistently good reviews should not be excessively dinged for dropping the ball a single time. But in my case, the ball was definitely dropped. read more

Aidan and his crew were amazing. Punctual, respectful, and hard-working. The crew did a new retaining wall and planter wall along the back side of my yard, a new stamped concrete patio, a firetpit, and quite a bit of brick work to tie an existing brick patio into the new concrete area. The attention to detail on the brickwork was meticulous as they seamlessly incorporated used bricks to match the existing patio - the new brickwork looks like it was laid 40 years ago - which is exactly the look that was intended. Aidan was also very fair when problems arose. The crew encountered a very unsafe gas line during the demo process and Aidan was able to resolve for a very reasonable price. The pricing wasn't the cheapest quote, but it wasn't the highest either. The peace of mind and professionalism that you get with Aidan is absolutely worth a little extra money. I've managed several different contractors and sub contractors throughout hundreds of thousands of dollars of home renovations - Aidan is literally the best I've ever worked with. If he were a GC I would hire him to do everything. read more

Very disappointed We contracted with Greg to remove old concrete decking around our pool of about 800 sqft and replace it with stamped concrete. Greg failed to co-ordinate with the stamping contractor to get the right stamps and he ended up having to replace the decking. When the old concrete was dumped on our concrete driveway instead of into a dumpster the driveway cracked and RSC took no responsibility to properly fix it. Now after 6 month the concrete is separating from the pool coping and Greg after inspecting the issue says no idea, not my responsibility. When asked to at least reseal the deck with deck-o-seal his response is - i won't touch it. We alerted his foreman at the time of pouring that the concrete was too liquid and does not withstand the standard test - the answer was that they hat to add water to the truck to make it to our property. Aidan's bid wasn't the highest or lowest. We did not use Aidan for any work but he did come out to give us an estimate. He responded promptly to my phone call and showed up to the estimate on time, which is really rare with all the traffic in the south bay. I got an official estimate by email the next business day. He also seemed very knowledgeable and professional. In the end, we decided not to use him because we got a slightly lower estimate from someone else who seemed just as knowledgeable and professional. Aidan is terrific; very professional, conscientious, knowledgeable and helpful. I hired him to pour 3 large footers for a patio cover as well as about 1,500 square feet of stamped patio and walkway. The grading and final sloping was as planned. The suggestions for slate finish, solid border and groove spacing were spot on as he took into account the coloring and texture of a newly installed retaining wall. He was always on-time and accommodated changes in schedule stemming from the patio cover side of the project. I had the work done in April, so it has been 8 months now.
