This place is consistently delicious. Their beef kabobs are marinated perfectly and are always so tender and juicy. My husband orders some type of lamb dish and he says that it's delicious as well. Their hummus is a bit lacking for me - I would rather it have a bit more flavor but it's still pretty good. The garlic sauce is so good I always get extra. They also have free ice cream! Friendly service, good food. This restaurant has good food and is quick. They are a Mediterranean place but has a little bit of everything. They have a small bar and the bartenders are excellent. I would definitely say they should do some form of greeting when people walk in. First time and all we don't know you go automatically straight to the counter. Fantastic seems like too bland of a word to describe their baklava. So crispy, buttery, lovely spice flavors - I just can't wait until I get over there and try another one. I also particularly enjoyed the hummus for its creamy texture and great flavor. Having tried the pita and tabbouleh along with the hummus and baklava all of the food was delicious. 10 STARS I returned home (California) yesterday and wanted to take a moment to thank Allison for everything she did for me. There is no way I could have planned, managed, or executed my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner without her. She was so easy and flexible when creating a plan, she was responsive on every level, she made suggestions and developed a well balanced menu for my dinner party. The guests enjoyed all of the food, the highlights were the pizza and baklava. The restaurant provided a perfect place for seating next to the bar, which was able to accommodate each guest's beverage preferences. This is a lunch spot in local vicinity of the office. It's located in an upscale and clean area with newish restaurants catered to yuppies. When I take anyone to eat here they're first comment is one "I love this place" and 2, they're wow'd by the menu variety. When speaking to the owner/manager he's always very expressive about how they make sure the ingredients and food is always fresh and responsible. 2nd you can't help but to notice how much they care as everything from chips to pita to burger bun to deserts have GLUTEN FREE options. I visited Island Grill for the first time today for lunch. The service was great! I arrived late, so I ordered well after the rest of my party, but the food came quickly and at the same time as others'. At Island Grill, you order at a counter, get a number, and a runner delivers the food, so there are no dedicated servers. The manager stopped by our table a few times during the meal to ask if everything was going well, and if we needed anything, which was nice. I was also able to stop a runner to ask for a take-away box, which was provided promptly. I asked her about the garlic sauce that came with my meal, and she offered to get me a side serving to take away with my food - excellent service! Being surrounded by a number of large businesses, it was very crowded for lunch, making conversation difficult in the indoor dining area given the size of our table. They had an outdoor area as well, which I suspect would have been quieter, but hot during the Texas summer. I ordered the Mediterranean Plate, which was a Greek salad with sautéed mushrooms and onions, topped with chicken and gyro meat, and served with the aforementioned garlic sauce. It was a reasonable amount of food, which I could have eaten in one sitting if I had wanted to, but was also enough to split into two smaller meals. The garlic sauce was creamy and flavorful. The meat, which I thought would be the star of the show, tasted a bit bland to me, particularly the chicken. They had a standard offering of sodas, as well as a few brewed iced teas - the Black Currant was very flavorful, and my favorite. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday and we were pleasantly surprised. I had the gyro pita with fries and husband had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries. We both ate all of our food. We couldn't believe it. We had two drinks each from the bar. Bartender was friendly. Cocktails were really good. I had the margarita and lemon drop and husband had the espresso martini and godfather. Normally a good place for food and drinks but this time was not good. The bartender never gave us any privacy. We sat at the bar and she kept budding in on our conversation and not being rude we talked to her. She eventually started getting very personal with all her business and showing her tattoos to where we closed out and left. She also charged me for a shot I did not order. She talked about making and experimenting with drinks and shots and made a shot and insisted I try it. I emailed management when this all happened with names but never received a response so that is why I'm posting this. Went last nice to this place, my niece and nephews had a Pizza, and they devoured it! They said it was very good, it was freshly made on their brick oven. I had a Certified Angus Beef Burger- cooked rare, and the meat was very good. I did ask for an egg and it was not cooked how I asked, but it was still good. I had the sweet potato fries that were very tasty. We ordered queso and salsa for the table and for the price I wish we would have received a little bit more. the salsa and queso is very small. Other than that their prices are pretty reasonable. My brother and his wife had the Island salad with pita bread, and they were pleased. Their margarita and strawberry margarita was very good.
