Our order included brisket, chicken kabab, beef kofta (cut perfectly into two pieces each), rice, grilled vegetables, green salad, hummus, and fresh bread. The food arrived warm, beautifully packaged, and right on time. Delivery fees were very reasonable, and Ramez went above and beyond by setting everything up on the serving table so elegantly, it truly elevated the entire experience. I placed the order on short notice, yet he delivered big results. The meats were incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The hummus deserves a special mention, it was one of the best I've ever had, and that says a lot coming from someone who is Middle Eastern. Both kids and adults loved the food, and we received so many compliments throughout the night. This was more than just catering, it felt personal, generous, and made with care. I originally visited for a simple beef shawarma, but got temped by the buffet which they had at dinner, for only $6 more. The best dishes for me were the lamb. Brisket slices and pita bread. Some of the dishes are spicy like the spicy hummus, spicy chicken dish, and their hot sauce. Some of the compartments were not all that hot, like the butter chicken, the day I visited. It was bland anyway, very different than the Indian version, so I don't think heat would have helped much. At the end was dessert time. They have about 5 desserts. I was very very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant! I went for a work lunch and was not aware it was buffet style before getting there. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and didn't have too many decorations (they seemed to be changing some of them out as there were some tapestries for sale at the front door). I wanted to share my experience at Ta'bleyah Mediterranean restaurant, especially considering the current financial climate. Unfortunately, I found the food to be quite disappointing. The chicken was dry and lacking flavor, and I encountered unusually dry grape leaves. The hummus had little olive oil, tasting primarily of tahini and chickpeas. The brisket was overly salty, and the beets were sour. The coleslaw had excessive yogurt, which overwhelmed the dish. It was surprising that everything in the cold bar was dry. Overall, every dish seemed inconsistent, and the only highlight was the bread which wasn't homemade....Thanks for dessert offer but if it was anything like food I'm glad I passed, if you hadn't been reviewed in the past for same issues I would've let you pass but it's quite obvious you refuse to fix the same complaints so I had to leave a review! Get Better! If the restaurant continues to serve food like this, I'm concerned it may struggle to survive another year. Enjoyed some delicious Mediterranean food today. We walked in thinking it would be very basic food. We were pleasantly surprised. We had the dinner buffet. It had every traditional dish you could imagine. There were so many choices I can't even list them. Just know the authenticity of this restaurant is superb. It is owned by a lovely couple. They opened the Woodlands location just one year before COvid hit. They kept the restaurant going and the family came together to keep it going. I think I've found a place that deserves frequent eating from me. What do you get when you mix buffet, various drinks included and good pricing? You get a happy fat man... that's exactly what you get. I had to go through my checklist of eating ethnic foods from a new place. First item on the checklist... are people from the ethnic region advertise actually eating at the place? Checklist item one was an affirmative. If people from the region eat at the place, then I have increased confidence of receiving an authentic food taste experience. Many a la carte eaters came through while I dined buffet style. Second item on the checklist... when I look in the kitchen, do I see representatives from that ethnic region cooking the food? Checklist item number two was also an affirmative. Nothing is worst, using Texas as an example, than going into a non Hispanic restaurant and seeing nothing but Hispanics in the kitchen. To me that means, more than likely, you are getting a second hand authenticity eating experience. No worries of that nature at this place. I saw several women that looked like they knew what they were doing, and they were definitely from the Mediterranean region. The food itself was definitely freshly made and had lots of options. Fresh breads brought to the table still hot. Many varieties of hummus and babaganoush. I'm told the spicy variety of each has a real kick, so if you like it spicy, grab that definitely. I saw vegetarian dishes along with a variety of salads. I rarely see beet salads on menus... it's here. They have truly Mediterranean options like beef kibbeh and grape leaves. The meats included a variety of chickens, beef and lamb. If you want baklava to finish off your Mediterranean experience, then that's only one of many options available for dessert. All in all, you will find some fresh food item to enjoy. The only drawback I experienced is that they worked the Egyptian fellow way too hard. He handled all customers that came in, cleaned tables, collected dishes, brought out food items and drinks, e.t.c. If they find more help to keep the buffet line moving, then this will easily be a 5 star experience. Thanks to COVID-19 standards, you point to the items you want, and they'll build your plate. If you have 1 person building plates, serving tables, e.t.c, the buffet element will lack. I will be back to eat here. The food, pricing and customer service does warrant a repeat visit. read more

Not really sure how I feel about my experience here. I really wanted to like it because it's so clean and cute on the inside but I am not sure what went wrong that day. Based on what I have heard from my friends and read other yelpers' reviews, I have to say that maybe they were having an off day when we stopped by here. We came here for lunch a couple of weeks ago after my a doctor's appointment. I understand that it might be after "peak" rush hour but I would hope that they at least greet all their customers and you don't have to flag the server down every time you want something. There were three of us and they only gave us two pieces of bread. Mind you, there is no additional pita at the buffet station either. It was really hard for us to flag the server down - she was the only one working and had to go from the other four tables that were occupied at that time. She was also the only one that was taking orders on the phone and bringing stuff from the back. Finally when I was able to get her attention, we got another two pieces of their bread which was a hit with my dad. I can look past all of this if at least the food was good. The falafel tasted like it had been refried and had super dry mouth feel. The brisket was so fatty. I know brisket is a fatty piece of meat but it wasn't cooked properly. The fat hadn't been properly rendered which made for an awful texture. Some parts were cooked properly while the others were just gooey and rubbery at the same time. It was also extremely salty. It either had the wrong temperature, the wrong rub was used, or it did not rest enough. Aside from that, the fried chicken and the cauliflower tasted like it had been fried in an old batch of oil and had been sitting at the buffet all day long. The best parts were the dolma, beet salad, kibbeh, baba ganoush, flan, and the rice pudding. The baba ganoush had a really good smoky flavor. The flan was a case of textbook perfection. This place begs comparison with Dimassi's - another Mediterranean buffet located nearby in the Woodlands. We have tried both, and I echo a thought that my friend shared - this place tastes like home-made food, and Dimassi's is more like cafeteria food. Selection is not as wide as Dimassi's, but quality seems much better. There were a number of items that were just magnificent, such as various types of chicken and the brisket. The dessert selection was excellent as well. The buffet includes drinks (tea or soda). For a $15 weekday lunch (including tax), it's slightly on the high side, but you do get what you pay for. read more

This was the worst Mediterranean buffet. There was hardly ANY meat in their food selection. My husband said if you are prepping for a colonoscopy go there. The potatoes was soaked in 1/2 an inch oil. The chicken was over fried and 1 piece left. The grape leaves with rice was oily and seemed to be fried. The only meat that was not touched was their barbecue meat that was soaked in OIL. We catered food for an event with the folks at Tableyah, and Ramez was very professional leading up to the date. Always available via text to respond to your customizations. The food was prepared at the restaurant by his wife Heba, and she did an amazing job at it. We went to taste a day before and the falafel was delicious. We tried the 2 styles of Baklava and ended up going for Almond one. The whole party loved the individually wrapped, freshly prepared food. The quantity and quality were excellent. Since, we were from out of town, Ramez and the folks were very punctual in the food delivery and gave lots of utensils/sauces to complete the meal.
