Their drink menu is impressively broad, with a strong whisky selection from different regions, plus plenty of cocktails, spirits, and wine. I especially loved the Scotchman in Sidecar, which blends Té Bheag and Laphroaig with Cointreau and lemon. It had this really interesting balance of smoky peat and bright citrus. Naked and Famous was also great if you like something a little sharper and more refreshing, while the Mango Mojito leaned sweeter and easier to sip. The food was just as enjoyable. The Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas were probably my favorite part of the meal, with a chewy crust and really satisfying flavor. The Savory Peach from the summer specials was surprisingly good, especially with the spicy sauce on the side, and the Spicy Ropressata was another standout if you like something a little salty and bold. We also tried the Shepherd's Pie, which was warm, hearty, and comforting, and the oysters were fresh and good quality too. Overall, it feels like one of those cozy places that works equally well for drinks, a casual date night, or a laid-back evening with friends.

The atmosphere is relaxed and a bit cozy without trying too hard, which I really appreciated. The food was surprisingly good -- everything felt fresh and well thought out, not overly complicated but definitely satisfying. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. Service was friendly and easygoing, not rushed at all, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, it's the kind of spot I'd come back to without overthinking it -- whether for a casual meal or just to unwind a bit.

The service was attentive and quick, making the entire dining experience comfortable and enjoyable. Now, onto the food: every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! We started with the refreshing cucumber salad, which had the perfect balance of tangy and savory flavors. The cold tofu was equally impressive, bursting with umami and spice. For the main dish, I had a fragrant, hearty noodle soup with beef, packed with rich flavors and perfectly cooked noodles. The dumplings were soft, juicy, and filled with the perfect amount of flavor, and the sauces were delightful! Overall, the ambiance was cozy and modern, perfect for a casual meal with friends. I highly recommend Tumi Dumpling House for anyone looking for authentic, flavorful Chinese dishes. Whether you're a local or just visiting, it's definitely worth the stop! I'll be back for sure.

The dumplings were served fresh and piping hot, which made the experience even better. Gluten-free dough is notoriously difficult to work with, so I really appreciate the effort and care that clearly goes into making these. They've done a great job. The service was also very friendly. I met Ted, who took the time to tell me more about the restaurant, which made the visit feel welcoming and personal. I'll definitely be returning to try more of the dumplings -- even the non-gluten-free options because they're just that delicious. I'm excited to see how the menu evolves. I'd love to see a dumpling dish added to the lunch specials and perhaps more filling variations for the gluten-free dumplings. Next time, I'm trying them pan-fried!

Chef Ko is the best, making you feel so welcomed and appreciated, as if in her own home. Her food and hospitality are nothing short of outstanding! I recently had the pleasure of introducing some foodie friends to Chef Ko and it didn't take them long to discover they were in for a very special evening with a very special person, not just a Chef. The first course was an appetizer platter that included Calamari, Chicken Satay, Papaya Salad, Shrimp Chips, Chef Ko's amazing Golden Bags, and more. Great start! Our amazing meal continued with Panang Fish, Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp, a Sizzling Seafood platter, Pad Thai with Soft Shell Crab, Pad See Ew with Shrimps, and Deep Fried Fish with Mango Salad. It was all absolutely delicious, with the Pad Thai and Deep Fried Fish, being my personal favourites. Diets and self control went out the door as we finished every morsel before being surprised by dessert. We had Thai Pudding made with Coconut Blossom Sugar, and Thai Pancakes. These were light and tasty. Great finish! Not to be forgotten, however, we had some great beverages with unique presentations - Tom Yum Spiced Margarita, Buri Ram, and Bangkok Lychee Fizz. Isaan Der has been recognized with a Thai Select Classic Award, presented to Thai restaurants that achieve a high level of excellence and authenticity, while offering good value for money. Isaan Der is all of that and more. Check them out!

It was such authentic flavour and good quality food (one of our group was Thai, so she confirmed the authenticity haha) It was a group of friends, so we ordered several items to share. Hard to pick the best dish as everything was so delicious! My favourite of that night was PLA TOD (marinated deep fried Basa fish filet) limited 10 dishes(?) per day (forgot exactly how many dishes - give it a try if it's available!) We had a chance to speak with chef Ko, who is the winner of Thai Select (heard it's like Michelin star in Thai), which made our experience even more pleasant. She was so sweet and friendly! I'll definitely be back :)

I recently dropped by for first time during lunch hour, and similar to all restaurants in the area, it's wasn't busy during this time so there were plenty of seating and reservations were not required. However, evenings and weekends can be quite busy, but reservations can be made via OpenTable. I ordered the Burger of The mouth with a side of salad, while my friend ordered the Indie Fried Chicken Platter. I personally found the burger and salad to be quite delicious. The beef patty was juicy, with all sauces and ingredients complimenting each other nicely. My friend on the other hand, found the chicken a little dry, and the coleslaw warm, and soggy. The restaurant had a cozy laid back feel at this time, contrary to the loud and lively evenings. The hostess/server was attentive, friendly, and efficient. She let us sit anywhere we wanted when we arrived given the quieter afternoons, and she knew the menu well.

They have a wide range of in-house beers, sours and even hard to find Ales. The ambiance is welcoming and accomodating to all ages (even kids). If you're a first time customer and undecided on which beer to choose, I encouraged you to try their Beer Flights which includes 5 oz. sample of 5 beers on tap. I love IPA's and Pilsner so I like ordering the Instigator & Marco Polo. Instigator, a West Coast IPA has a light honeyed sweetness with plenty of hoppy goodness. Quite malty but has well balanced and smooth tasting notes. The Marco Polo on the otherhand is a flavourful dry-hopped lager but super crisp and refreshing which is perfect for hot summer days. My SO who is into strong and dark ales swears how good their Zombie Apocalyse and Breakfast Porter. But the huge draw of me coming here is mainly how impressed I am of their food menu. They offer fresh and high quality dishes that doesn't taste like your clasic pub meals. I always order their Southern Fried Chicken since this is the best Southern Fried Chicken I've ever tried. The fried chicken is intensely flavourful and incredibly crunchy and pairs well with any of their beers. The Indie Burger is another one of my fave. This is your ultimate cheeseburger - two smashed beef patties that is juicy in every bite. Staff are also knowledgeable, friendly and will answer any questions you have about their beer offerings. Top notch chef, nice atmosphere and a wide range of pints to sample makes Indie Alehouse one of the city's top must visit locations for beer drinkers and foodies alike.
