The atmosphere is inviting though it can get quite busy and loud during dinner service. However, lunch hours are much quieter and relaxed.  The restaurant recommends walk-ins, but recently started taking reservations for larger groups.  The service here is good, and the servers are friendly.  They also have patio seating along the sidewalk during warmer months, and a dining room downstairs for private events.

There's nothing slick about it, no marble tabletops or velvet banquettes. Instead, Honest Weight disarms you with something much rarer in Toronto dining: warmth. The kind of warmth that feels like stepping into a friend's East Coast home--where the fish is fresh, the welcome genuine, and you're looked after in a way that feels instinctive.
