I love this ice cream place! They usually have a sorbet flavor and around 10-12 ice cream flavors. It's all very fresh tasting. Their hot fudge is so good! My favorite flavors are the blueberry and Mexican chocolate. It's a small shop; sometimes there is no room to sit but there's an outdoor area half a block up that you can sit as well. We stopped by at 8:30pm on a Sunday. They have limited flavors but what they do have is amazing. We practically taste tested each ice cream. They tasted flavorful and fresh. I ended up getting the orange ginger sorbet and cinnamon pear. He got the apple crisp and salted caramel. They come with a piece of waffle cone which is a cute, and yummy touch. The smell of fresh baked waffle cones is maddening!! As in, I'm going to go mad if I don't get one. A funny story- my bestie and I were next door at Nature's Express (vegan fast food) and a man walked in off the street to ask what that heavenly smell was....he obviously meant the ice cream cones...and the lady at the fast food store actually said "Ummm...I think it's our rice pilaf..it has a lot of garlic" !!!! This is by far the best ice cream I've had. The Mexican Chocolate and Burnt Caramel are my favorite flavors. They also have a great Mocha Almond. The texture and flavor of their ice cream are better than any others. $3 will get you a cup or cone with 2 scoops and you can get 2 different flavors. What a deal! Give these guys lots of credit for thoughtful, quality ice cream. With what they have to offer they really don't need to hide behind something like "41 Flavors", or "build your own". We've been a few times, and tried many of the flavors and found them truly delicious. The only hesitations I had in giving a solid 5 stars were not a big deal. They probably could offer some more varieties of toppings, though the ice cream really is the star of the show here, so hiding it doesn't seem necessary. The other concern is a bit about the lack of knowledge of the servers. One person we were with needed to know a bit more about ingredients to avoid an allergy issue. The other person needed to know whether the sorbet was in fact non-fat. In both cases the servers did not have a clue, and there was no one else working there who could help out. But overall - most definitely worth some visits if you like good ice cream! read more

Oh my gosh, we just went here for the first time yesterday and it is SOOOOOO good. I never really got the whole insane love of that place Ici place on College, but THIS place, oh I do. The ice cream was so delicious. I got the marzipan which was the yummiest most flavorful almond ice cream I have ever gotten. My husband and son both got root beer floats--one blended and one regular style. I never thought to go blended, but oh wow, was that blended rootbeer float ever amazing. The people who work here are super nice (no attitude like I got from some of the employees at Ici the 2 times I went there) and it's true, they are very patient with people who want to do taste tests (again, never found this to be the case at Ici where I got eye rolls if I asked for 2 tastes). I love ice cream. This place is a definite must to stop by and try their ice cream offerings. The Butterscotch Marble is awesome. I am telling you, it is frigin delicious. Huge chunks of carmel that is toffee flavored in finish. Cookies and cream for the kids or grown kids (adults) is apparently very good, per my son. Not cheap, $4.25 a scoop but nothing is cheap in the Bay Area anymore, so pay up and enjoy! read more

This is an adorable and classic ice cream shop. The ice cream is really fresh, the portions are generous, and the pricing is quite reasonable. I know salted caramel is everywhere these days, but they really do have the best salted caramel ice cream here. I got it as a milkshake once after skipping dinner and it was like nectar of the gods. Also, they have homemade chocolate waffle cones - a great compliment for mint chip or cookies and cream! Go here. And especially go here if you are a fan of traditional ice cream flavors. One of my friends is against all herb flavored, "salad dressing" (balsamic) infused, or any other quirky form of ice cream. Here, you will definitely find a tasty variety of vanillas, chocolates, peanut butters, and caramels. This place is awesome!! I was checking out local joints today and stumbled upon this. I had the Toffee and cookies and cream flavors and they were both excellent. They had a bunch of flavors to choose from so if you go there with family everyone will probably find a good standby. I am not big on sweets and these people have the perfect texture and flavor down and all the ingredients tasted homemade including the toffee bits and the cookie chunks. iScream NEVER answers their phone! They allow it to ring, and ring, and ring. That is TERRIBLE customer service. I bet they actually have the ringer turned off and we just think the phone is ringing on their end. Maybe I should do a field study and go inside the store and call them to see if I actually hear a ringing phone. This way I can tell if they have poor customer service because they're rudely ignoring a ringing phone or if they have poor customer service because they're tricking us into believing that the phone is actually ringing but it's really on silent mode. read more

I find that I am craving this lovely icecream, and wish I lived closer. It really is quality: taste the cream, not too sweet, good flavors, although I am very happy with chocolate and vanilla --meyer lemon, caramel!! They make it on site, so it couldn't be fresher -- attractive little old-fashioned style shop, friendly family business. The price is NOT too high, I think, considering what you get; and, have you priced Baskin Robbins lately, or any of the other franchises?...not so fresh, or rich, or tasty, and close to the price of IScream, actually. I've tried IScream three times now, and I must say, I have grown to be quite a fan. The first time, I got a classic vanilla, which was very good, though vanilla is not the best way to truly judge an ice cream parlor. That is reserved for their more exotic flavors. And IScream delivers. Their ginger has just the right amount of bite, an undercurrent that contrasts and thus highlights their Strauss Family Farm, organic, made fresh base ice cream. I was a bit concerned that the ginger would overpower the cream, but no, the balance was perfect. My wife also commented on the great flavor of the salted carmel. The salt took away the overly-sweet taste that some carmels have, leaving a very satisfying, lingering finish. My son also gushed at the blueberry. He's usually a strawberry fan, but after one taste bite of blueberry, he quickly jumped at a scoop. Their waffle cones are also great. They're baked fresh on site, and the quality and freshness comes through. Highly recommended that you splurge for the 75 cent treat with your scoop. The only thing that lowers it to four stars is the somewhat inconsistant service. One day, the scoops were quite small -- I had a double that was the same size as a single from my next visit. Unique flavors and the only place I have ever had Ice Cream that really tastes HOME MADE. Just finished my last bite now of the cookies and cream. When I first entered the iScream! cafe, I was only looking for something to quench the heat on that boiling, November day. The warm, clean, and friendly atmosphere took me by surprise. I had expected it, like so many other inferior places, to be... SOFT-SERVED. That was not so. Staring into the frosted case, the diversity of flavors made my heart race with excitement. When I finally chose a Blueberry-Cookies and Cream combo, my mouth watered like Niagara Falls. Then I took my first bite out of the mountain of goodness (if they could have, my tastebuds would have screamed for joy). It was like no other icecream place in the entire galaxy. This review is purely for the "marzipan" flavor ice cream, which I ate yesterday July 27, 2020. I'm sorry to say this flavor was a huge disappointment. If I had been able to sample the flavor beforehand, I would have immediately known that this was not in fact a marzipan-based ice cream, but an almond ice cream. This was a creamy ice cream base with lots and lots of almond slivers folded in. I hate almond slivers. But I love marzipan, which is "a confection consisting primarily of sugar or honey and almond meal (ground almonds), sometimes augmented with almond oil or extract." There was no hint of actual marzipan anywhere in this ice cream, neither in the base nor the mix-ins. They should call this ice cream "almond." Flagrant false advertising. read more

So, I caved in to my ice cream craving today...thank goodness I worked out twice today! Anyways, on to the creamy, delicious ice cream. Walking in I was already thinking there is no way I could like their ice cream more than Ici...which is damn good! But, I was abundantly surprised. There is not a huge selection of creams, but a good amount no less...and yummy flavors such as burnt caramels, sweet coconut, and classics such as cookies and cream for the more traditional ice cream lovers. As for me, I like unique flavors. So I decided to get the salted and burnt caramel. I ordered the one scoop in a cup, the waffle cone is 75 cents extra. I was able to get 2 flavors for the one scoop which I really liked. Cost was $3, not bad. Omg, there was practically an orgasm in my mouth, yum. It tasted so good it was hard to feel guilty! This place is a definite must, I will be back. ;-) Some downsides are the place is quite small and not much seating, although it is larger inside than ici. Good and yummy, but the kids price is a rip-off. When they first opened they would let my two kids split a single (a single is two mini scoops) and they were happy to put them in two separate bowls for them. Now the staff has changed as has their kid's scoop policy. They all seem very young and moody, and instead of paying $3 for my girls, they expect me to pay $5 for the exact same amount of ice cream. Plus they were rude when I explained how they had putting the single into 2 cups several time previously. "Yeh lady. that's called a kids cup and it's $2.50 each." No worth the hassle. read more

I always passed it but never tried it cause I thought um just another ice cream place. It was so hot out I really was craving something cool so i looked up ice cream shops around town and found this one had the best reviews so I said why not. I went with my auntie and hubby! There are only a hand full of tables but that's kewl I just wanted really good ice cream. This homemade ice cream (they also have sorbet) was out of this world! Prices were decent and there was a line but I was willing to wait! The prices are decent and you can either get it in a reg cone or cup. 75 cents more a waffle cone or chocolate cone. They give you metal spoon when sampling which is Eco friendly and different. They have basic and unique flavors. I got a two scoop in a cup of Mocha almond and mint chip. It was so creamy and not so sugary. The Mocha had a real coffee taste that was so yummy! My hubby got the three scoop in a waffle cone with blueberry, burnt caramel, and Mexican chocolate. The Mexican chocolate had a spicy bite to it. My aunt got salted caramel and burnt caramel and they must have been good cause they were gobbled up in no time. I noticed a hibiscus and lime sorbet I must try next time. So far this is my favorite ice cream place that I will go back to when I'm having a craving for some homemade yummyass ice cream! read more
