Amazing food with a beautiful ocean view. I was able to get a dinner reservation for a party of 12 within the same day. I was not disappointed in the food or service! Fish and sushi were fresh and delicious. And don't even get me started on the dessert! Phenomenal! Fish & chips 5/5 crisp and tender. Very solid typical fish & chips Hamachi Jalepeno 5/5 soo delicious! Thick slices of hamachi that melted in your mouth. Jalepeno is spicy but you can take it off if you don't want the spicy kick Big Eye w/ Kimazi Wasabi 5/5 the wasabi is freshly grated on the sashimi and the fish was super fresh Andy's King Dragon 5/5 flavorful, delicious, great portion size Coconut ice cream 5/5 wow!!!!!!! So good!!!! Honestly i want to come back again to eat all the desserts Ube creme brule 5/5 super soft and delicioussssss. I typically don't like ube and this was a hit Kona Mud Pie 5/5 i was blown away on how big the slice was! You can definitely share this with 4+ people

This is an excellent sushi place in Maui. Fish was spectacular, the views are amazing and the service was top notch. Catch of the day and fresh oyster selection was excellent. The servers recommendations were perfect.

Great spot for sushi in Kihei. They service fresh fish and even let you know what fisherman caught your fish. Everything was delicious- sushi and entrees. Sitting at the sushi bar is enjoyable. They also have a bar area. We will definitely be back.

We just live near by with my Husband and its our first time to dine in. They have limited parking although they had some free parking along the side of the road it just a quick nice walk, good ambiance, 2 ladies in the host stand was approachable and friendly. Our server is friendly and we didn't feel get rushed. Food was 10 out of 10, they have a good amount of portion, Kalbi was great the fat was not chewy , Fish n Chip is the best you really can tell that the fish they use is fresh as well as the Hawaiian Roll. Ube Cream Brûlée is my favorite sweetness is perfect. I would recommend this to our friends and this is our new spot from now on. They also doing a reward points. Amazing team and amazing food.

Isana is our local gem! We visit multiple times during our trips to Maui. This time we mostly visited with the bartenders for drinks and some sushi snacks while we watched the World Cup. This is a spot for tourists and locals alike for its fresh fish, sushi and wonderful hospitality!

Such a fabulous little gem! Great variety of items on the menu ranging from a noodle dish to delicious sushi. Tons of yummy cocktails. I've always had great service here! Perfect for a date night or just a quick bite!

Good option when looking for a higher end restaurant on this side of town. We went here for my birthday and had a very pleasant experience. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed chatting with staff. The fish was definitely very fresh. Nothing here blew me away, but we really enjoyed the fresh bites and friendly staff. My favorite thing was probably the "Lilo & sip" cocktail which reminded me of a mojito but blended!

Baklava ice cream cake... I had no idea what to expect, but holy cow. Absolutely incredible. The perfect mix. Just order it.

We found Isana on our last night in Maui and wish we had gone sooner. The space feels like it may have once been a teppan spot, but don't judge it on that. The food is what matters and it's excellent. You can truly taste how fresh the fish is, which makes sense given it's fisherman-owned. We had spicy tuna hand rolls and a mix of nigiri including kanpachi, sake, bigeye tuna, and hamachi. Everything was clean, fresh, and really well executed. Bonus points for having kizami wasabi. The bigeye with kizami wasabi was a standout. Our son ordered the tonkotsu pork ramen and loved it. Service was just as good as the food. Winnie took great care of us and made the whole experience even better. Friendly service, great ocean view, and seriously fresh fish. Definitely worth a visit.

One of our favorite Sushi Restaurants in Kihei. Fish is fresh daily. They serve sushi and other food items. Everything is delish! Some of our favorites are the miso soup, baked muscles, Andy's King Dragon and Shrimp Tempura Roll. They also have Happy Hour available! Always friendly service and nice ambiance. They have a back area if you have a large group that's semi private. Nice place for special events. Highly recommend if you're in Maui! Call ahead for reservations.

Fast and prompt services. If you don't have reservations, plenty of room at the bar and sushi bar area. Fish was fresh and delicious. Plenty of options for everyone. Well stocked bar as well

I booked the earliest reservation available but we ended up arriving a lot earlier and they were able to accommodate us! The waitress was super attentive and nice. We got the broke da mouth sushi roll with the fresh catch opaka fish which was delicious. The garlic noodles were yummy and the shrimp were HUGE! The fish and chips were with the opaka catch was fine- nothing special to note. Parking was easy and labeled around the restaurant.

How is there Calamari? And is there Raw Tako good?

Their fried Calamari is ok, nothing special that stand out to me. It'll satisfy you only if you're really craving for it. Never tried their raw Tako yet.

Are you open for dining service?

Yes they are 3-10pm

Can I make an online reservation?

No unfortunately that's the only thing wrong about Isana is that you HAVE to call them, don't call them right at 3(opening) wait atleast until 3-30-4 to call for a reservation and make sure you don't call the same day you want to go CALL A DAY…

When is happy hour?

Site says it is 3-5pm and 9-10pm.

The fish here was absolutely phenomenal! We had the macadamia nut mahi-mahi and the blackened mahi-mahi, and the kids had the fish tacos. Everything tasted SO fresh, juicy, flavorful, and just out of this world. The staff was also amazing, and the whole vibe is so chill and relaxing. We seriously can't wait to come back. There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, though the outdoor area gets full sun in the evening. The menu is extensive with tons of options, and the cashier was super friendly and helpful with her recommendations. Fish Tacos They're known for their Fish Tacos, so we had to try them. The fish is a fried blend of Mahi Mahi and Ono, cooked perfectly--crispy, flavorful, and delicious with the pineapple pico. The tortillas are packed with fish; you can easily make two tacos out of one. Absolutely a must‑try. Poke Nachos The Poke Nachos were great. We ordered the spicy poke with a mayo base. The chips were solid, though the dish could use some jalapeño or serrano to kick up the heat. Tiger Sauce Their homemade tiger sauce is sweet, spicy, and slightly vinegary--really tasty. Drinks They serve Kona Brewing Co. on tap. The Lemongrass Luau is excellent.

It's all outdoor dining, but all covered. We sat at a counter facing the street which was good for people watching. I did a BYO omelet with mushrooms, onions and Portuguese sausage. He ordered his eggs over medium and they were a little under. But he still ate them. Yummy selection of coffee drinks. And their were some really tasty looking pastries at the check-out counter. Food came out. Chicken salad was excellent. Fries were hot. My wife's tuna melt came out with one side soggy and the salad drenched in salad dressing. All in all, not a horrible experience. We'd eat here again. But their staff can use some training on customer service!

There is a small parking lot on the side and street parking by the library across the street. The main draw here is the poke but they also serve fish tacos and fish plates. They sell only locally-caught fish which changes daily. For poke there are only two options: traditional and spicy. We got one of each ($22 each) and I preferred the traditional as it was saltier and had more flavor. I'm used to seeing more than just two flavors but it's fine. What I didn't like was that the rice in my bowl was hard like it had been out for a while. The other bowl was fine so I'm not sure what happened there. $46 total for two bowls seems like a higher price than normal for sushi, and the spicy one was just okay. Note that there is a 3% charge for using card.

This restaurant is cool! The Monkeypod Kitchen in Wailea…read more...the only way to describe it is...cool. The food is delicious, the staff are all amazing and I guess you put those two together and you come up with the coolest restaurant in Maui. We started with the shrimp and mushroom potstickers with wild caught shrimp...the flavor just oozed out, so good. Then, onto the Bourgeois Pizza made with fresh lobster, lapa'au farm oyster mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese! This is the only restaurant I've ever been to with lobster pizza and it is SO GOOD! Big chunks of fresh lobster...forever grateful to the chef who came up with this. Our server, Amanda, made the whole evening a treat. Fairly laidback atmosphere, not as formal as Merriman's which I went to earlier on the trip, so easy to come in and feel comfortable in something as simple as a shorts and a t-shirt. Also service was good -- again, not as formal as Merriman's. A couple dishes really stood out; the poke tacos was excellent, the kalua pork & pineapple was amazing and by far my favorite dish (which is half-off during happy hour, resulting in subsequent happy hour trips), and the strawberry cream pie which was delicious. The dishes I had which could have been better included both the organic macadamia nut crusted fresh fish and the fresh caught fish tacos; they served mahi mahi the night we went, and both were "okay," but I've had ample better of both dishes at other establishments in Maui, and especially at these really high prices -- I'd recommend going to a better spot for these dishes instead. I found the monkeypod mai tai to also just be "okay"; can definitely find better mai tai's on the island. So at the end of the day, I concluded that the main dishes and cocktails weren't really worth it, but discovered that they service 50% off of appetizers and pizza during happy hours, so I would definitely recommend visiting during happy hours.
