Great spot for sushi in Kihei. They service fresh fish and even let you know what fisherman caught your fish. Everything was delicious- sushi and entrees. Sitting at the sushi bar is enjoyable. They also have a bar area. We will definitely be back.

More hype than substance. I came in expecting quality sushi and sashimi and left disappointed. The food didn't live up to expectations, and the atmosphere felt cold and unwelcoming. Service was standoffish and came with a "big city" attitude rather than any sense of Aloha hospitality. Overall, not worth the visit--there are better local spots where the food is stronger and the service is actually warm and friendly.

Such a fabulous little gem! Great variety of items on the menu ranging from a noodle dish to delicious sushi. Tons of yummy cocktails. I've always had great service here! Perfect for a date night or just a quick bite!

Good option when looking for a higher end restaurant on this side of town. We went here for my birthday and had a very pleasant experience. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed chatting with staff. The fish was definitely very fresh. Nothing here blew me away, but we really enjoyed the fresh bites and friendly staff. My favorite thing was probably the "Lilo & sip" cocktail which reminded me of a mojito but blended!

One of our favorite Sushi Restaurants in Kihei. Fish is fresh daily. They serve sushi and other food items. Everything is delish! Some of our favorites are the miso soup, baked muscles, Andy's King Dragon and Shrimp Tempura Roll. They also have Happy Hour available! Always friendly service and nice ambiance. They have a back area if you have a large group that's semi private. Nice place for special events. Highly recommend if you're in Maui! Call ahead for reservations.

I booked the earliest reservation available but we ended up arriving a lot earlier and they were able to accommodate us! The waitress was super attentive and nice. We got the broke da mouth sushi roll with the fresh catch opaka fish which was delicious. The garlic noodles were yummy and the shrimp were HUGE! The fish and chips were with the opaka catch was fine- nothing special to note. Parking was easy and labeled around the restaurant.

Service was friendly and quick. Prices have increased since we last visited two? years ago (of course), but food was fresh and tasty. My hubby and I enjoyed a single roll, each and a shared a salad. Great experience overall. Shrubbery trimmed so that the ocean view and sunset could be better seen and enjoyed. Nice.

Reservations recommended but we got seated in 5m at the sushi counter. Service was great - our server was nice but she rushed us like anything! It is right next to the beach so a walk after your meal comes highly recommended as well Surprisingly, food came out within 2-5 mins of ordering!!!!! ...and the food was great. High quality fish and higher quality cooking. The soft shell crab karaage was fab. The batter was so light and airy. The miso butterfish was such a delicate dish and so flavorful. The fresh fish has a lot to contribute I'm sure but the way of cooking also needs a shoutout. The komo Kai roll was a mouthful and super fresh. Highly recommend! We ended our meal with the fried tempura ice cream - omg what a dish. It's a big portion so consider yourself warned haha. It is one of the best fried ice creams I have had. Overall, I'd say the menu seems simple but it's not - quality skillful cooking from the kitchen :)

Delicious Ribeye Steak dinner, cooked to order.

Three of us enjoyed a Happy Hour dinner in April 2025. One of us had a very nice Ribeye Steak with rice and grilled asparagus and carrots; another diner had Tempura Shrimp and tempura asparagus and Japanese pumpkin. I had Nigiri Sushi of Bigeye Tuna, Hamachi, Salmon Roe, Uni, and Amaebi with crisp fried heads. All of our meals were delicious and the Sushi Chef made very generous servings of the fish on the Nigiri rice! Liz served us very well, at our dining pace. We had a relaxing dinner with a view of the ocean.

Love love loveddd the food!! Our family of 6 came in to eat here an we're not disappointed. Food came out SO fast (but not too fast) and everything was delicious. I ordered the tuna avocado rolls as well as shared a plethora of food with my family. The dish that stood out the most to me was the ribeye steak pupu...absolutely delicious. And I'm not even that big of a meat eater! I also enjoyed the Li Hing Mui Mango Margarita. SO GOOD!! Tasted exactly how I expected it too. Staff were super friendly and the restaurant had such a great lively vibe to it. I can't wait to eat here again!

Tunas happy hour

Came here for happy hour with my boyfriend while vacationing in Maui.. in the end we left with a happy full belly! We started off with happy hour drinks.. then the miso soup.. since something soupy is always what we like.. the miso soup is really good.. The sushi was fresh and they have fresh wasabi too!! Back home not a whole lot of places have fresh wasabi. I'll get it at every sushi place that carries them.. let me tell you, this place is a hidden gem in Kihei.. first time in Maui and this place was also close to where we staying.. the vibe here was chill with Hawaiian music playing in the background and we got some great lighting for foodie pictures (me of course, even tho my boyfriend is the actual photographer) I'm Just a poser.. service was awesome!! the server came around often and ask how's the food and if we wanted to order anything else couple time and before happy hour ends.. ordering off the happy hour menu was enough to get our filling fixed.. you can taste the freshness of the sashimi too! Back home it's good but not that great! This place tops it for me.. Thank you for your awesome service and ahhhhhh-mazingly fresh sushi!

This restaurant checks off all the boxes. Food was delicious, our server Mike was very personable and attentive. Upon entering the restaurant it was very soothing and inviting. The owner happened to be at the hosted stand and was eager to tell us they just received from fresh oysters. So of course when it came time to order I HAD to get one o my one because it was $7 a pop but worth it. My hamachi avocado roll was delish along with all dishes we ordered. The fried rice was the best I had anywhere and large enough to feed 4 of us with plenty to bring home. A big added bonus was the view right across from the beach and we were there for the sunset beautiful. If you love sushi go you won't be disappointed. Definitely will come back when we visit Maui again. Sorry no food pics just wanted to dive in to the food.

How is there Calamari? And is there Raw Tako good?

Their fried Calamari is ok, nothing special that stand out to me. It'll satisfy you only if you're really craving for it. Never tried their raw Tako yet.

Nico was attentive to guests needs and the service was very fast. Ambiance was overall laid back and inviting. The House Special (the one Guy Fieri put on the map) lives up to the hype -- bold, rich, and perfectly balanced. The TNT roll brought the heat in the best way, with crispy shrimp tempura and ahi poke on top that just worked. The Miso Phat Roll was a standout -- spicy tuna and cucumber inside, topped with broiled unagi, avocado, tobiko, and that sweet unagi sauce... every bite hit. The 007 Roll (their "secret" one) felt like a greatest-hits combo with tuna, yellowtail, salmon, and avocado layered over a California roll -- super fresh and satisfying. The shrimp-topped spicy tuna roll was another win -- simple but done right. The poke (ahi + hamachi with spicy mayo and sriracha) was next level -- hot rice, cold fish, insanely fresh that melted in your mouth. That contrast in temperature and texture made it magical! Definitely coming back when back in Hawaii. A solid 5/5.

The quality, presentation and taste--every single course--knocked it out of the ballpark! And, much to our surprise, the last Main course of Wagyu beef was a veritable grand slam! We came for the Sushi, but never in my life have i tasted such heavenly steak! The exceptionally aloha-friendly staff, such as Ronson and Iggy, were above and beyond helpful. Be sure to include an order of mussels, and you can't go wrong with anything Hamachi, such as the carpaccio. The atmosphere is somewhat traditional sushi bar, with an aloha flair. It is not very spacious, and will fill up in both guests and noise. Tune those out and you'll be fine. By the way, be sure to make reservations! Walked in before 5:00pm with no reservation for a party of four. Well, that was a mistake. Despite idle wait staff and maybe only five occupied tables out of 20-30 total they made us wait for about a half hour. The reason was other people made reservations and were expected. When they finally sat our party the restaurant was still 2/3 empty. There was really no reason to keep us waiting that i could see. When you see someone in the party is disabled and using assistive devices you should be more accommodating. It kind of felt like we were being punished for not having a reservation. Also, expect a 3% service charge for the back of the house. Really, for the prices they charge for mahi fragments you could pay those people without a surcharge. Portions here are tiny. My mahi fragments were dry, over spiced and served with two unseasoned baby bok choi leaves and a slice of grilled tomato. For the price of almost $40.00. The beer was good and so was our server so they got one star for that. Otherwise, this place is touristy, overpriced and the maitre d' is slow on the uptake. Overall, there are plenty of great restaurants on Maui, recommend you try one of those.

Traditionally, sushi chef put soy sauce and wasabi in the between the fish and rice, and it's part of the flavor. I don't remember how it was done last time, but that was not the case this time. I had to awkwardly flip the nigiri pieces and dip the fish side in soy sauce, and then they fall apart. Ugh. Also, I didn't appreciate the size of the rice. It was impossible for me to eat the whole piece in one bite, but it's kind of rude not to under the traditional Japanese etiquette. The fish quality was.....okay. TBH, I had better in Sacramento/Roseville for way cheaper. I had more elegant, delicious, and satisfying omakase in San Diego, New York, Shanghai....you name it.
