Friday--at prime time. From the front desk staff to our excellent server Jenna...excellent service! Gourmet pastrami sandwich...fabulous. May have been the best I have ever had! (full pound of pastrami--$16)My wife had the pulled pork with an au jus dip--terrific. Salads were cold and crisp--unfortunately the beer was not.(Good IPA but not cold enough.) The food is both unique and familiar. They have twist on home cooked meals. Each dish was served with care and the drinks were on point. We have been here three times in a month and each time was spectacular. The service was great. We had Tyler one night and Jenna M for the other two. They both did an amazing job. I have to say that even though Iron Works changes their menu seasonally, it is always good and gives some new variety options. We always sit at the bar when we come here because the service is so good. Kenny us our absolute favorite. He seems to remember us every time we are in town. The food tonight had us drooling at how good it was. The half order of nachos started the food fest. The turkey lettuce cups had the best flavor. The fish tacos were really good and we were able to sub fried fish for sautéed fish. The chicken Caesar salad was basic but really fresh and the dressing was perfect. From the bar, the wine selection was good and the specialty Prickly Pear drink was very refreshing. Not too sweet and not to spicy... just right. Three of us went there for an early dinner on Friday, 4/4/25. Had a wonderful time. Home ambience and clean. The food was well prepared and served timely. Our waitress Rachael G was outstanding and really made the experience most enjoyable. She was personable, witty, engaging and attentive to our needs but not overindulgent. (deserves a raise!) We came here to celebrate an important day!! We started with the sauceless wings which I wasn't sure about but the flavor was so good! He had the Wagyu steak and I had regular steak and the truffle fries. We enjoyed the food so much and was so full by the end, I think we both still had half a burger that we enjoyed for lunch! Just had lunch with Laura and a group of friends at this establishment. 3rd time here and I have say the service from Shakira was great. Particularly since she needed to manage 7 separate tabs. I order the Chimichurri grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad. It was quite tasty. The ambience was pretty mellow given it was relatively empty. Service was efficient and pleasant. When searching for a restaurant in walking distance of the Providence Rhode Island Airport, Iron Works was the clear choice. Not being local I had no idea a reservation would be necessary to reserve a table for only two on a Thursday evening in summer. There is an outdoor patio area which adds to the number of tables available in nice weather. We ended up scoring two seats at the bar before our wait for a table was up. I had their signature drink, a pineapple infused vodka (smooth and strong). Not my usual choice but it was definitely worth the change. All the food we saw others eating looks like they were made with quality ingredients like our dishes were. No complaints about the service either. If I find myself near the PVD airport terminal /rental cars garage / train station the future, I will definitely return here! read more

Visit from May 23 2023, just haven't gotten around to posting. Came here because I wanted steak for my bday, location was convenient/close by, and because there was more to the menu than just steak. Speaking of the Menu: it is an eclectic mix of different dishes. Obviously it's American-style food, but there's Asian and Mexican influences. I am always hesitant about "fusion" dishes, but after having our meal here, I am also very curious about them. In addition, I don't usually see chefs credited in the menu (maybe it's because I don't generally eat at expensiver places, but I digress), so it feels as if Iron Works take pride in the food they make. And I think it shows in the food we ordered: the Wood-grilled Steak and Bacon infused meatloaf. We really enjoyed both (husband and I share dishes). The steak was done properly medium, the char and seasoning was just enough, but not overwhelming. I love the vegetables that came with it. The veggies really complemented the steak, and I felt that the acidity of the salsa verde was almost like a palette cleanser to prepare me for the next bite of steak. The asparagus not mushy, but very soft and nice. The meatloaf was very flavorful and again, the veggies to it were complementary. The mushroom gravy was really good and helped balance the more flavorful meatloaf. For drinks we got their draft (devil's purse?) kolsch, which was very crisp and tasty (but honestly it's hard to disappoint me with a kolsch). And also their Freaky Hijiki cocktail-- which is very watermelon-y, but each individual part of the cocktail distinguishable and yet working well together. I love cocktails where it's very difficult to taste the alcohol in it. Service was also excellent: somehow our waitress and waiter nailed the right amount of checking in on us (not too much, but not abandoned). All the right questions were asked, too and suggestions were helpful. Ambiance: I didn't feel awkward dressing up, but many people were in very casual clothes. We had never been here and thought it was time to try it. We got here a bit later than we expected to, and it was busy. We could have sat outside on the patio, but it was still a bit chilly (for me) to do that. No tables available inside. We were able to wait a little bit before 2 seats opened at the bar. Lauren, our bartender, was very knowledgeable about the menu, was able to answer our questions, and was just overall nice. My husband had the 1 pound pastrami sandwich with caramelized onions, melted cheese on marble rye, which looked more like marble pumpernickel! I had a crispy chicken sandwich, and opted for the Cole slaw on the side. Super crispy chicken on the perfectly toasted bun was so, so good. The fries were also very good. Gastropub food that is OK but takes way too long, even with the place mostly empty. Stay away from the pastrami sandwich. I ate at the bar at shift change. Neither the day or night bartender were very personable. Bar lighting and bottle displays looked very nice. Place gets a captive audience being attached to a hotel and they don't really go the extra mile because of it. Waste of money risk factor 6/10. read more

What a terrific place. The cheeseburgers are cooked perfectly and their "special sauce" really is special, adding a wonderful tang to the meal. The hand cut fries are cooked perfectly and retain their heat. The Parmesan truffle fries are a delicious indulgence. The romaine in the Caesar salad is fresh and crisp-you can even get a cheeseburger patty on your salad-we didn't try that option but if you are going gluten free that might be a great way to get your burger fix. The Caesar has real shaved cheese and homemade skinny croutons. The dressings are all made in house and you can taste the quality ingredients. The 1# pastrami sandwich is huge. Just ask for a to go box upfront, you'll be eating this sucker all week. If you're lucky enough to come on the day when the chef's soup is chicken do yourself a favor and get it. The rich chicken broth is flavored with lemon and peas. The oyster crackers float for a few seconds until you devour them with the herbs and fresh chicken. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating for any special requests. They all really seem to like their jobs and want to be there and have fun interacting with their tables. The bar has a huge jar of pineapple which I think is around 150# and someone said is filled with vodka. Who needs to go to Hawaii? The Manager is actually out on the floor helping out, talking to patrons, and is clearly proud of their restaurant. Reservations are recommended for dinner otherwise you'll be waiting outside. Prices are reasonable if a bit on the high side. Give these folks a try, you'll be glad you did. read more

I ordered the Point Judith Calamari and my friend ordered the Steak Frites. Both came with a salad of Arugula, hers with fries included. First the Calamari was amazing, fried crisp and not greasy, the salad was sparce but very tasty. The Calamari came with fried peppers which added a little kick that complimented the calamari. My friends steak was cooked on point, she exclaimed it was soooo good! Her arugula was dressed, she prefers plain, the waitstaff got her another without the dressing and I ate her dressed salad, it was very light and perfect. Our food came quickly and the atmosphere of the restaurant was busy but comfortable, reservations are a good idea for the lunch time. I was so excited for my Calamari, I forgot to take a picture. The best meals I've had in a while. I dined here twice while in town for business and was so glad I did. Very accommodating staff that are really down to earth and very knowledgeable. I wish I had one near me - I need to see if DFW Texas is lucky enough to have one and if not, where do I sign these folks up? Salmon was the best piece of salmon - really. I eat salmon at most restaurants for lunch and dinner and it had a crust like a steak. Good luck finding that somewhere else. The beef short rib was just divine. SOOO GOOOOD We were visiting from a few states away and now that we're home - we're wanting to return just for the food at this place. We had apps, main course and drinks at the bar - great non-invasive service, amazing food, we went back 2 days later. I mean, we brought leftovers home with us and had the food a couple of days later and it was AMAZING, even reheated. My husband loved the pork chop - thick, juicy, sooo tender! (I may have stolen a few bites). I loved the short ribs, the wild mushroom app, and pretty much everything I tried there. Cool decor too. Stopped in here for dinner one night on a work trip and was pretty happy we did. We sat at the bar and service was amazing. The two servers behind the bar was very on top of their game. Experts at pouring and mixing drinks, constantly making eye contact to see if anyone needs anything, and almost like they read our minds when it came to getting us extra sauces for the food and having another drink - 10 out of 5 stars for service Food was also very good- had the roasted maitake mushroom appetizer and was not disappointed at all - absolutely delish and generously portioned. I also had the black bean and chickpea burger and was pleasantly surprised as how flavorful it was. Coworker had the tacos and he was happy with it. The place was hoping on a Monday night, but probably because it was NBA playoffs? It also had a very neighborhood vibe as the servers appeared to know a lot of folks at the bar. It is located to the back of the HGI hotel and walking distance from the Hyatt Place at TF green airport- so if staying at these hotels, I highly recommend you stop in for a bite.
