Really cool brewery in an old mill with a covered beer garden area outside. Everyone was very nice and they have plenty of options, mostly focusing on IPAs. I really liked the Wendy Peffercorn which was their white IPA. They had a sour offering called Outside The Box which was a sheared sour or something to that effect - I'm pretty okay with drinking an entire tasting even if it's not really my thing but this one was so bad tasting I literally couldn't finish it, and I love sour beer and beers in general. I wouldn't recommend that one if you're there but everything else was really tasty. They also have some food options, we got truffle Parmesan fries which were pretty good and Buffalo chicken egg rolls which were pretty good too. Wouldn't come for a full meal but they have great offerings there so you can have a bite with your beer. Can't wait to come back!

A wonderful brewery with delicious food! We like to stop here on our way back from Salem, Ma. The beer is always delicious and recently they added food. My husband loves the baby maker porter and I had a delicious sour. We were exhausted and hungry from traveling and Matt and his crew were welcoming and friendly! They also have a dog friendly patio. My husband had a burger that was delicious and I went for the BLT. I got the sweet potato fries and yum yum yum.

Fun atmosphere. We were able to make a reservation online for a patio table .... it was a beautiful day. Wait staff was so friendly. A man at the hostess stand who I think may have been an owner was fantastic - very friendly and even came around to check on guests which I always have a lot of respect for. I tried the Raspberry Key Lime Cruiser beer and the Alternate Facts 5 which is a cherry based sour. Both were delicious. Hubby had the Positivity 8 (which he didn't love the mango notes), and he also had the Generosity (bourbon aged barrel lager) which he loved- had two glasses he loved it so much (too bad it doesn't come in cans). Always a huge fan of breweries converted from old mills this is no exception - gorgeous place. They have a food truck on premises (MA law you have to order food with your first round).... we went to town. Tried the egg rolls (mac and cheese chorizo (loved the sauce but not the chorizo flavor on that one) and jalapeño cheddar bacon (SPICY but yum!))). We also had the chicken and sirloin skewers (YUM), and the mini pumpkin pie! Very happy and we will definitely be back! Great spot to check out!

I love this place! I'm drinking Seafoam Cruiser today. Its really refreshing. I'm taking a growler home and a growler of Dead Nuts for bf

I suggest you get a sampler, as I like IPAs, but really enjoyed their largers as well.

Tucked in the basement of a historic mill, it's clear how rustic is a fitting name. Thankfully there is ample signage to direct you to the libations as it could be challenging to find without it. There's plenty of parking and multiple lots to choose from. It was eerily quiet for a Friday night at 6pm as I was 1 of maybe 3 or 4 patrons. The beer tender greeted me with a quick smile and description of their serving styles. Due to my short stop I only had 1 draft and grabbed a few treats to go. I didn't notice any food trucks, but I also wasn't looking for any. Although it's in the basement, it's quite warm, bright, clean and inviting. There was plenty of entertainment available from board games and televisions to gaming systems and pinball machines. Well-behaved, potty trained children and dogs are both welcome. The beer was tasty and made me wish I had more time to try some of their different styles. If I'm ever up that way again I will definitely drop in and try a few more while taking a turn on the pinball machines.

Several months ago, I was following my GPS to visit someone when this place caught my eye…read more It was so tiny. So hidden away. I mean, who the hell has even heard of Gilbertville? I made a mental note to come back another day, when I had time to explore the area. Spoiler alert: There's not much there to explore in Gilbertville. Although, if you're like me and willing to drive 10 miles out of your way to save ten cents a gallon on gas, they do have the cheapest gas around. But I digress... Yesterday I pulled into their almost non-existent parking lot and wondered where people park when they are full. I was there at 3pm, so it was empty aside from myself, two other people, and a dog. The space was quirky and eclectic, with random art on the walls, old pieces from antique shops, and a bar lined with metal seats. They also had a few tables. It was all dark old wood, and I imagine it would be an awesome spot to hit on a cold winter's day. I settled myself into a seat at the bar. Just a warning: those seats must have the AC blowing directly onto the metal, because my poor vagina felt like it went through a cold plunge. I was wearing shorts, but the freezing cold metal felt like it penetrated straight into my cervix. If you opt for bar seating while wearing shorts, pack a sweater for your genitals. Icy nether regions aside, this place was a perfect little hideaway to hang for a bit and enjoy some well-crafted beers. They don't serve meals, but they do have snacks you can purchase if you need some sustenance. Their white stout was PHENOMENAL, one of the best beers I've had in a while. It was creamy, sweet, and SO easy to drink. It gave me a cream soda vibe, but with a 7% bite. Solo factor: 7/10. The place was pretty empty when I went, so it felt very comfortable to be there by myself. But it's tiny, so I don't know if it would have that same vibe once it's packed. The bartender was awesome, and very attentive. The seating isn't necessarily ideal for someone who wants to spend hours hanging out there, but it was fine for the time I was there...and there were also other options for places to sit. Also, I saw that they have an outdoor area where you can sit, which I missed on the way in. And I would be remiss to not mention that their bathroom was freakishly clean for a brewery bathroom. I've been to two places over the past few weeks where I walked into the bathroom, saw what was waiting for me, and thought "Fuck it, I'd rather get a kidney stone." Yuck.

Love this place. Staff is great, music is sweet, and the beer is awesome. A few beers they always…read morehave and something different from time to time.
