It was a good curry, but nothing differentiated it from any other good Thai curry I've had. The authentic Thai interior provided a good dining environment. The service was great! I've read good things about their breakfast!

During our holiday visit to London, our family recommended the Happiness Café. So one rainy…read moreafternoon we parked across the street hopped over some road construction and blew thru the doors. The first impression of décor and display, it is clean, intentional, thoughtful and cozy. We perused the menu and I decided on the fig and cheese croissant, accompanied by an espresso martini. We found our seats at a table and I could not take my eyes off the artistic desserts on display. One in particular was a tree ornament, made of cake, it was shiny and beautiful, almost too pretty too eat. Almost. My only regret is that I didn't enjoy one, but I was too full after lunch. Our meals were delivered to our table and even though I wasn't very hungry when we arrived, the look and smell of the food fueled my appetite. My croissant creation was filled with fresh ingredients and the decadent combination of savory and sweet hit the spot. The espresso martini was wonderful, even my picky husband liked it. To our delight, we had the opportunity to meet the owners, a husband and wife team. Both very stylish, with warm smiles and welcoming conversation. The wife is the pastry chef, I had to wonder if she ever had time to sleep considering the array of beautiful desserts on display and what it must take to perfect them, individually. We look forward to returning on our next visit to London hopefully during the warmer months to enjoy their patio, and THIS time, dessert first! And maybe second! Now that we are back home in Los Angeles, I find myself wishing we had a Happiness Café. It seemed as though the daily specials are available until they sell out; perhaps a regular diner could confirm this. They looked good, but we were late, so we settled for pickings from the standard menu. Options include soups, salads ($4.65-$10), sandwiches and burgers ($9.50-$13), lunch bowls ($11-12.50) and all-day breakfast (actually just breakfast and lunch, so it's a pretty short day!). The beverage selection is extensive, including coffee, tea, smoothies, sodas that I haven't seen elsewhere in London, iced coffee, juices and more. All of the coffee and tea selections were under $5. There is a self-serve water station which is a nice touch; probably easier on staff, too. I appreciated their attempts to avoid single-use utensils and dinnerware. The only disposable waste were the paper napkins and the receipt. Food came out quickly and it really hit the spot. Good-sized portions were tasty and as described. I think the coffee itself could use some improvements though. Food: My friend had the avo brioche and said it was the most bland sandwich she's ever had. I had a good experience with the ham and cheese brioche though. So if you're deciding between the two, definitely go for the ham and cheese because it has a great basil sauce. Drinks: drip coffee- wasn't really anything special, just tasted like black coffee with no specific notes. ginger latte- a little too spicy, I was expecting it to be infused with ginger taste within the drink, but it seemed to just be the spiciness of the ginger with none of the sweet. pumpkin foam (iced)- this was my favorite of the 3! A good amount of sweetness, enjoyable, I would order this again. I would come back to try their other seasonal drinks. I think that's where they shine. Overall, nothing really blew my mind for the price, but I might come here to get some work done.

The ordering was interesting but cute. You had to order and pick up outside in these windows. There were lots of patio seats outside but I believe they also had limited inside seats as well. The window was adorable and decorated with pics of puppies! The people working there were super kind and nice. I ordered the breakfast bagel bomb and the chicken pesto wrap. Breakfast Bagel Bomb - in the bagel bomb (more like a huge bagel bite), there were bacon bites, egg, and cheese. It was really good! The bagel was super chewy and soft which was great. The inside was good too. I kinda wish the bacon was crispy instead of soft. I also wish the inside was slightly more seasoned. In terms of the bagel to inside stuffing ratio, would preferred if there was less bagel and more stuffing. Overall, not bad but maybe I'll try another flavour next. 3.5/5 Chicken Pesto Wrap - this wrap was BOMB!!!! I wish this cafe was near me because I'd order this all the time. This was absolutely delicious and would recommend. One call out is it's pretty oily, at least the outside was because I had to ask for a second paper bag to switch it into as my first one was soaked in oil by the end. 4.8/5 Would recommend visiting this place! Area around this cafe is also cute. You can go on a cute walk around the street.

Horrible over priced coffee, even worse service!…read more I needed just a regular (read: not fancy) coffee while waiting fir my daughter to finish work to go shopping in Masonville Mall. I had heard decent things about this place (other than the high prices for mediocre coffee/beverages). I just wanted a dark roast, so asked for a medium (16oz) coffee - the darked roast they had on tap. I got my coffee and sat drinking it until my daughter joined me. I watched a man sitting at the table next to me complain about his sandwich (looked like turkey and lettuce and tomato on homemade, thick bread. It was mostly bread, and he was complaining aboutbthat as well as how they used a few pieces of romaine for lettuce to bulk it up. However it was all romaine spine which is nit nice on a sandwich. I felt bad for the guy. My daughter showed up amd I was finishing my coffee which was in a paper to-go cup in case I needed to take it with me. I went to take about my third last sip and almost spit it out all over the table as my mouth filled with coarse coffee grounds. I am not talking about one or two. I am talking about a mouthful. I took my cup to the counter and waited for 3 minutes for the 2 girls behind the counter to finish their chat nefore acknowledging me. I asked to speak to a manager. Anoyher plain clothed young woman sitting at the coffee counter came over and said the manager was busy (I could see the manager in their office with thwir door open and a friend at the door chit chatting...they were busy personally, not professionally. Whatever. I showed this girl my teeth which were filled with grounds and the cup and said I wanted a refund so I could buy a bottle of water to rinse my mouth out. She was all defensive with no apology...just said "someone probably put the filter in wrong". That may well have been true. But I said that an apology and a refund woukd be approproate. And again, she defensively said "I have apologized to you over and over" in a really loud voice that did not warrant the manager to bother with us still, and the girl behind the counter thumped the money on the counter and they BOTH turned their back to me. Super horrible coffee and experience. I wouldn't waste my time on this place. There are at least 3 other coffee options in the mall.
