    a menu on the wall

It's a shame this place is in the basement of an office building, because it's easy to miss if you don't know it's there. Despite that, this place almost always has a line at lunch. The food is great, from the Cheddar Jalapeno soup, to the burger specials, the fries with horseradish sauce, and the roti. It just feels like they care a lot about their product. The prices can be a bit high for a quick lunch, but the portions are generally pretty big (especially the roti - easily 2 meals) - though they've definitely decreased the sizes a little since they've opened. The staff is all very friendly and service is great. The fries and homemade horeradish sauce are both amazing. I generally go for the specials for $6.95, which they post daily on Facebook and Twitter, as the regular menu is a little rich for my wallet (about $10-12). Lots of authentic Trini food, roti, doubles, etc, and lots of standard Canadian food on the regular menu. Their specials can be anything from burgers (usually Tuesdays), to pasta, to fish and chips (usually fridays) or chimichangas (some Wednesdays). I definitely notice a pattern with specials but I'm not sure they have an actual schedule. Despite the place always being busy at lunch, I've never waited more than 5 minutes for my food here, so it's a good option for lunch instead of fast food. We always get our food to go, but they do have ample seating both inside and in the atrium. Parking outside is unfortunately pay (unless you can find street parking or don't mind parking a block away). I feel like most customers work in the vicinity so it's mainly foot traffic. I believe they also have a loyalty program, something like buy 8 meals and get one free. Overall I'll continue to go back often and support this place, as it's a great local business and I hope they do well in the future.

The food is authentic and delicious when you can get it. The Rotis and Jerk are good, just wish the restaurant is open more often.

Roti is to die for. Adorable setup in a tiny corner of a corporate building. Need to have more.

It was disappointing to see the roti on top of the bones chicken and watered down gravy. It was not wrapped neither. I ate the roti 4 hrs after I bought it so the flavours could come together. I know the city of London is filled with people that don't look like you or me, if your gonna sell a roti at least sell It with the options with or with out bone.

We decided to go for take-out, but peeking into the restaurant area seemed quite cozy. Service: Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Food & Price: Oh my goodness. This place lived up to the hype from the reviews! We ordered both the large jerk chicken (12.99) and the large curry goat (13.99) as well as a side of beef patty (2.50). Personal favourite was the jerk chicken. It is spicy and delicious. The chicken was soft and flavorful, the rice was nicely covered with sauce, and the macaronis and coleslaw balanced the flavors out. The curry goat was also yummy. Personally am not too big of a fan for gamey meats, but my bf enjoyed it thoroughly. Finally, the beef patty was delicious as well. My bf had recently visited Jamaica and he believed that this was probably one of the most authentic places he could find in London that replicated the patties he had overseas. Overall: For the price, the size and the deliciousness of the foods, I recommend you give this place a try!

I got the jerk chicken and curry goat...was not a fan of either. The jerk chicken was soggy, very salty and lacked a lot of spice/other flavours I'm used to getting with jerk chicken. The curry goat was bland as well and lacked spice as well. My friends tried the roti the goat and chicken, I had a bite of each and that same bland flavour was there. The roti shell did not taste homemade (tasted store bought) which was a huge disappointment. When I lived in Scarborough and having friends/coworkers from Guyana and Trinidad, I know the curries are supposed to have a lot of spices in them and the roti shell is supposed to be fluffy, fresh. I didn't have big expectations when I came to London but I have tried roti at another place called Triniman's kitchen and that comes to the closest to what I've eatin in Scarborough. If they can make fresh roti and curry that's spiced well so can this place! Regarding the jerk chicken and curry goat the place that was here before this place (On The Go Caribbean Cove) made both of those dishes amazingly. I'd recommend changes be made and maybe few months down the road I'll give this place another try.

This is a family run business. They are family friendly and people running the business represent multi-generational members of the family. I love their food. My personal dietary restrictions limit purchases but I've always enjoyed their chicken and vegetable/vegetarian menu options. I love the curry chicken. It's baked (healthier of the cooking options) and tastes great, and you have a choice of the size of the dish that you want, regular or large. Getting a meal comes with a side and I get the coleslaw. Much to the chagrin, of my ancestors and family, I'm not a fan of plantain (plantain is a staple food in the Caribbean).

The accepted my order quickly. 40 minutes later I get a call that the restaurant is cancelling my order because they don't have most of what I ordered. For a restaurant open later, 5pm is a little early to run out of food. Also why did it take you so long to advise Skip you were canceling my order. For me customer service is so important. For an error like this the least I would expect is a call from the restaurant to apologize. Disappointing and I will not be reordering.
