Kevin has been in charge of my hair ever since he arrived in Atlanta, and he has never let me down. I've had periods when he was giving me simple men's cuts, I was a perfect platinum blonde for 2+ years, and was even hot pink for a brief moment. The service has always been two-fold though. Not only was the work exceptional, but he has always put in the effort to keep my hair healthy no matter what we put it through. (I swear my natural hair is a softer texture now than it was before I bleached it for 2 straight years.) His knowledge and willingness to talk me through his process has allowed me to have a much better understanding of how his craft actually operates as well as the reality of what can and cannot be accomplished with my particular hair. I went to Kevin for a men's haircut after hearing what great job he does. He did not disappoint. He is also very conveniently located and it was nice to find a place that felt safe Covid-wise. I felt very comfortable and needless to say Kevin was very professional. You are the only person in the salon at any given time. There is free covered parking which is a huge plus living in the city. This was the worst hair disaster I have ever had in 25 years of coloring my hair! Deciding to go grey was tough and took close to 2 years of patience. It was so close to where I wanted to be. I looked for a stylist with grey hair experience and Kevin's profile came up. I made an appt with his salon but a few days before my appointment I got an email saying he'd left the salon and was going on his own. I was a little nervous not having salon backing on my first visit but I had waited so long and only wanted a few highlights and lowlights to break up the grey a bit. So I went. Pictures tell the story. No 1 - where I was the day before I went in. No 2 the pic I asked for with a few lowlights and bright highlights. No 3 IS WHAT I GOT when I walked out. My grey was gone and my hair was BROWN or half brown. Just terrible! Kevin immediately said I should come back the following week so he could re-hilight and lighten it! He said he used the "wrong toner combination". I asked if he was sure he could fix it and then, the next day he replied that he actually felt too anxious to try fix it and would give me half my money back. I said he either had to fix it or refund me for the color which was so far off from what we discussed. Then Kevin disappeared. I asked to discuss it with him, I asked him to tell me what he had used so I could tell another stylist to fix it, I asked what to use on my hair in the interim not to make it worse. He didn't answer a single call or email. Refused to refund, fix or respond. Besides his complete lack of skill, Kevin is unprofessional and takes no responsibility for his errors. Please be careful. Pic No 4 is what my hair looks like today. It took 6.5 hours, a massive bill and 2 very very talented colorists to fix his mess. Thank you to these 2 amazing colorists who spent a whole day carefully bleaching strand by strand. They were appalled by what they saw in my hair. Kevin has been doing my hair now for over 5 years. I travel from Augusta, Ga all the way to Atlanta every other month just to have him do my hair. It makes for a long day of travel, but I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. Kevin is talented, knowledgeable, and his passion for his craft can be seen in his work.
