A $185.63 Mistake. On 9/21/2018, I drop-off my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge phone to NNT iRepairPhone for repair due to cracked screen. I checked out on this review. All 5 Stars with many satisfied customers. I went in and met a guy named Terence (as he stated he is from China). Thus, I paid $50 deposit plus tax $54.63 He sounded cool and was able to predict my crack screen (underlayer digital that has a line across showing up on the screen). It was due to bent. Yes, I sat on it, don't know how. He quoted $180 compared to $220 I spent at LA Tech Repair, which was due to a crack screen on the same phone 20 days ago. What? Yeah, I know. On 9/26, I went to pick up the phone. When he finished the repair and returned it to me, I was shocked to find out that now my back screen was cracked...he said, "the previous guy did not do a good job and when I open it it cracked...you can go to ebay buy the $10 back cover paper and I fix it for free".. I was just shocked and speechless...dammm...he kept explained that the last guy did not do a good job and caused this problem...I said, "no i did not have this problem when I gave you the phone..." he said relax just "go ebay and buy the $10 back cover" and "i fix it". Suddenly there was this young Chinese cute-girl (appx age 23 and dressed with mini skirt with high heel) working at their front counter came close and trying to understand whats going on...I go "who is this, your sister?" He said, "No, she is the employee." She said, "Oh hi...(and stare at me with a smile)." Terence used "Attention-Diversion Tactics" so I could not argue with him in front of a pretty girl. Damm I think I got "suckker" into it. Plus, I need the phone NOW so I just left. Next day, I felt totally cheated and not satisfied. Furthermore, there were new defects after replacements My screen is fixed alright; however, my back screen is now "slit or cracked and worse my home button was replaced with an old home button plus when I touch the screen I can hear the sound of the plastic touching the under layer.." It does not sound and feel like my previous Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge phone. FOCK!!! This place SUCKS ALL THE WAY. There is no way for me to describe it. Just a simple crack screen and you can not even do the job right and now my back screen is cracked and home button is replaced (which i can not prove) and the screen which I touched... i can hear the plastic touching the phone circuit board (FOCK!). Just an over all very bad experience for me - not satisfactory. I went back to Terence again the next day and explained the serious situation and he flatly denied any and all responsibilities. I went back to LA Tech Repair and they gave me a $20 discount for repeat customer and thus i spend the following LATech Repair $220 NNT iRepairphone $180 LATech Repair $200 Cracked back screen paper $30 Total $635.73 (with tax) to replace a simple Samsung S6 Screen I will never return to this place NNT iRepairPhone to be a sucker, again. Did anyone have the same problem I had? My screen was broken about a couple months ago, and the guy said the LCD was broken as well, so if I remember correctly I paid over $200 to fix both the LCD and also the screen. Then about a couple weeks later, I accidentally dropped my phone on the ground, it was a very light hit on the ground, and my screen turned to black right away, that makes me feel the screen or the connect is very weak, and I paid him again to fix it, he explained to me that because I dropped my phone on the ground ( when I tried to hold my kid, so it's about like 0.5 meter high from the ground when I dropped it, and I dropped like tons of times with my original phone, it never like that weak), he gave me some discount, and you know, although I felt his screen is too weak, I tried to understand maybe it's my fault as well. But then after he changed the screen for me again, when one day I tried to charge my phone and it slid down again but from my bed to the floor, maybe it's only like 0.4 meter, and guess what? The screen went apart!! And I took the phone to another nearby iPhone store to take a look, the technician told me the glue is not strong and this is why the screen went part, and after he heard that I am going to change to a new phone very quick, he just nicely taped the screen with the motherboard for me for free. But then about a week ago, the colors of my phone's screen suddenly changed, partial of it went to dark and grey, so of course I had to call him again and asked him the reason. He had his partner checked the phone for me in another location and told me it's my own reason, because I dropped my phone. I honestly told him I dropped my phone, but it was very lightly drop, and if so, his screen is super WEAK and Sensitive! So anyway, I tried to understand again, and paid him again to change a screen for me. His partner first time changed a screen for me, but I can't type in some letters, so he decided to change another screen for me ( that again shows the screens he is supplying are weak). And guess what! Several days later without doing anything, my screen when to different colors! And I was able to use my friend's phone to take a photo of my phone and texted to the owner, the owner just simply said it's because the ICD is broken, your phone must went to the water or you dropped it. Excuse me??? That's not true, I never dropped in the water not ground again, so I paid around $400 for him to fix my phone screen 3 times, and it's still not working. My phone was broken front and back and apparently had some motherboard issues. They were able to fix all of this overnight and for the low $$. However he first told me that if the battery wasn't the problem he strongly suggested to not go further as it would be cheaper to get a replacement phone. What good are the advertised hours for Sat and Sun? I had precoordinated through email to drop off deposit for a new Mac battery on Saturday for a repair on some subsequent Saturday when they have the part. When I showed up to the store, the sole asian employee told me that he does not work on computers on weekends. It would take him oer 4 hours to change the laptop battery, when YouTube described it would take a novice to replace one in 2 hours. Hours, computers, are nothing as claimed in their advertisements. Cracked my iPhone screen and yelped this place to get it fixed. Note that there is not an obvious sign hanging over the place, only a small one in front of the vape shop that it shares a space with. Find the place based on the address. On a sunday afternoon, there was one guy working at the counter in the back of the store. Definitely don't go here if you're all about tidiness cause the place is somewhat of a mess but what they lack in organization, they make up for in relatively fast and cheap iPhone repair. In one hour, the guy put a new screen on my iPhone 6+ for $70. Not bad at all. With CC payments you have to add tax but still an overall great deal considering it's $100+ at the Apple Store. He also added a glass shield for free and even replaced the shield on my mom's phone for free when I checked in on Yelp. The guy was super nice and straightforward. It was a quick service, they installed the new screen, i paid ($70) and left. But when i got home I noticed the screen was a bit dim and dull in color. It wasn't sitting right with me so i went back since they do give a 90 day warranty. Jerry was very accommodating and switched a new one out for me till i was satisfied. 84 days later I shattered my screen again Second time: The warranty doesn't cover customer damage, but they do offer a discount for being a returning customer. This time around they had two options, an aftermarket screen ($70) and an OEM screen ($85), i opt for the OEM screen and i am pretty satisfied. He allowed me to check out the color of my screen before doing the finishing touches, and instantly made adjustments when i said the home button was a bit harder to push. All together only took 15mins. Both times they answered all my questions and was very accommodating. Pluss they do put on a free glass screen protector afterwards, thats a nice perk. read more
