Came here once to fix my screen and most recently to replace my iPhone battery. My bro told me that I could order a battery on Amazon for $10 and change it myself, but I didn't' want to bother with the hassle. I accidentally dropped my phone on my way to work and had been putting it off for some time simply because it was way too expensive to fix - ya know, priorities. Best Buy was charging me $170, my insurance through T-Mobile was charging me $175, even the small shops in Downtown LA were charging me $200+! However the quote says FREE screen protector but the guy was trying to charge me $10 to put on a screen protector, then ended up saying it's out of stock. Also one side of the screen feels rough compared to the other side which feels smooth. The screen also feels very hot after only 10-15 mins of continuous use. My old screen protector was starting to tear away and I was getting annoyed of it, so I took it off. Before I got to replace it with a new one I bought, I dropped it in the bathroom stall at school. Lo and behold, my phone shattered like nothing. Millions of cracks and a couple of fiber glass cuts on fingers later, I decided to come here when I missed my Genius Bar appointment due to traffic, closed parking structures at Old Town Pasadena, and general LA lameness. Even though it was a lengthy, tiring process having to drive from Alhambra to Pasadena then back to Monterey Park, it was definitely worth it. Jerry is my saving grace! After attending to some other customers purchasing vape juice, he said quickly checked my phone to make sure the touchscreen was still responsive. Since it was and only the display needed replacing, it cost about $130 after tax. My display is good as new and I received a complimentary phone screen protector on it to prevent any future, clumsy damage. If you don't have applecare or just can't be arsed to deal with the Genius Bar, come to this store! Repairs take only 20 minutes and they come out good as new! Plus, 90 day warranty. Such a great repair shop in the SGV. And I guess it smells good in there too, because you know, the vape juices and whatnot. Protip: this is located inside Vape Society, next to Mama Lu's. Have my broken iPhone 6 screen replace here for $90 by a Chinese lady. Came another time for another iPhone 6 screen replace for $90. Call in prior for a third return to get their current pricing, was told will be $90. Actually came in today and was told by a Chinese gentlemen that it'll be $120 for the screen replacement. Make sure you call, make an appointment with the person you spoke to with the price you are happy with, so you can obtain the same prices agreed upon. I paid the $120 because of the inconvenient of coming back, my schedule can get pretty busy these days. So with that said, my third experiences here isn't so much satisfying. Two more customer came in with the iPhone 6 and he charge one (Chinese lady) at $70 and (Mexican lady) at$90. I can't speak Mandarin but my Chinese boyfriend understand cost in Mandarin. read more

Went to the Apple store on Sunday and they told me they couldn't fix my phone due to water damage from the headphone jack into the LCD screen itself. Came here on Monday 12/5/2016 hoping to save my phone from water damage on the previous Saturday. The screen did not respond and my iPhone was in headphone mode without a headphone in it. The man inside the store in Monterey Park took apart the iPhone and knew that there had to be more issues with the phone besides the screen. He redirected me to the iRepair in West Covina to talk to a guy named Kerry. He was super helpful and told me the step by step process in order to save my phone. I needed to fix my iPhone screen in order to upgrade my phone. My T-Mobile rep told me to get it fixed, but to make sure they don't take out the LCD sensor in the process. He even showed me what it looked like when he took out my SIM card. So I found this place on Yelp, called them to get a quote and to verify that they wouldn't take out the LCD sensor in the process. They assured me multiple times that all they do is replace the screen and that they'd never even heard of taking the sensor out. So, I took it in and man, I wish I hadn't. They were quick, I'll give them that, but as soon as they handed my phone back to me, I knew immediately something was wrong. The screen they replaced it was not at all like the original. It had a blue tint, it was super dim even at the phone's highest brightness setting, the screen width was too thick, and sure enough, when I took it back to T-Mobile, they told me they took the LCD sensor out. So not only did I pay them to give me a bad replacement, but I lost out on a huge upgrade deal (worth $750) and there was no way of going back. If you need to upgrade your phone or just need your iPhone screen fixed, don't make the same mistake I did. Just shell out the extra cash and take it to Apple. read more
