Live bands, cheap drinks, and a great atmosphere in the little dive bar on a Friday night. My fiance and I had a lot of fun talking with the regulars here. It does get a little packed, where it can be hard to even hear yourself think, but it's really lively, and I love the energy there. Our bartender was actually from Ireland and he made amazing drinks. There were also Greenbay fans here, which was awesome too! We haven't tried their food yet, but I hear it's pretty good. read more

This place has been my "second home" on the weekends ever since I moved to the Valley. It's definitely a dive and a ways away from any hipster scene you've run into... Which is why I love it... The bartenders and bouncers are friendly to both their regulars and new comers. It seems that during the summer/spring months, Saturday brings in the younger crowd and Friday does the same come the winter months. They usually have some amazing Irish folk bands at least twice a month. Drink prices aren't terrible at all, and the food is pretty decent as well. Try the fish and chips. As for drink recommendations, you can't go wrong with either a Guiness, or Smithwicks. My current favorite for the past couple months has been the Strongbow cider. Great stuff. If you happen to wander on in one weekend night, look for the two tallest guys there... Ask us if we are brothers, we'll lie and say yes. read more

A dive bar at its finest. The drinks are good and cheap but the atmosphere can be dark and depressing depending on when you go. There is a mix of older people as well as young people occasionally. The music is decent as well. The staff is incredibly friendly and it's a nice place to go if you're in the area with some friends. I wouldn't go out of my way to get there though. read more

Went back to this establishment just tongive it a second try... Still unimpressed, the quality of food is unbearably subpar to any bar establishment in the valley. It felt like it was mostly frozen stuck in a microwave heated up then served. The only thing good here is thier beer and alcohol assortments other than that. Shity atmosphere and bad food. read more

A great place to grab a beer and hang out with some friends. Good seating arrangements for small groups. Decent service and reasonable beer selection. Food is alright for bar food, but nothing to write home about. I've been really impressed with the two bands I've seen play here, namely the Whooligans. They seem to avoid shitty cover bands. Been here a couple of times and it was okay. The bartender is a nice (Irish) guy, but it gets SO busy there, especially later on at night. He could use some back up. But in any case, any live music they've had playing when I visited was awesome. Folk, irish folk, country, alt country, and maybe some southernish rock. Fish and Chips are FANTASTIC ... It's one of my favorite items to order anywhere. This is the BEST place I have found anywhere for Fish & Chips and the price is the most fair I have found anywhere.. (I have tried over 25 places).. Also, they have live music all the time, 5 or 6 nights. The Music is always good. One negative, the bands are supposed to start at 9:30 and at 10 or after 10, they still aren't going.... very annoying. Haven't been here for years, but it hasen't changed much. Made me homsick for my Portland where I am always requested to sing "When Oirish eyes are smiling" with inhales from a Helium Baloon~~~~* But me favorite Irish tune is from the darkest days of English occupation when neighborhoods and families were torn apart by scurilous "Informers" who would turn in a fellow Irishman for a few 'Ha-pennies. The Brits would then sentence the Perpetrator to an "Indeterminent Sentence" in prison for violating "Sedition Laws". The British even levied laws agains the singing of Irish Patriotic songs!!! (Forbiding an Oirishman from SINGING, REALLY??) Ye might as well outlaw breathin AIR!!! So (of course) the Irish made up this song: "If you want to be singin' 'bout somethin'. Don't sing about you know what. For you know who may be listenin', and He'll tell you know whom. They'll send you off to you know where, For you don't know how long. I can't believe that I've been coming here for 10 years and never Yelp reviewed them. First off what can I say, but I love this place! I mean to go to the same place for 10 years speaks volumes of the establishment and I can honestly say I have never had a bad time. The food here is always excellent, I particularly love the sliders, the mozzarella sticks, and the chicken strips with the buffalo sauce. They also have amazing fish and chips and all their burgers are awesome. On the weekends they open at 10am where you can have a right and proper Irish breakfast or get either the amazing breakfast burger or burrito. All the bartenders here are sweethearts. They always hire some great bands. You can pretty much walk in any night and hear some excellent music and on Sunday's there's karaoke. Visited this place Friday night at the urging of my roommate who was dancing here with Ceili To The Core. I got there pretty late in the night, but really enjoyed myself. Haven't been around that many drunken Irish since I was back home to Boston. The band seemed to be members from various Irish bands throughout Los Angeles. They were great and, just like everyone else in the pub, were definitely having fun. The people were chill and covered all ages and types. Drunk singing, music playing and dancing are always a good time! I don't know that I would ever become a regular here, but I plan to come back! read more

We are four recent New England transplants, and huge Patriots fans. When my Slingbox died, and we had no place to watch the game, we had to think quick. We called the bar to see if they were playing the game, and rolled up 10 minutes later. Great atmosphere, great people, great place to watch a game. Food and drinks were reasonable, and they even changed the audio over to our game at halftime. Felt like home. Thanks for a great Sunday morning- we will be back. read more

Went to Ireland's 32 last night after purchasing a Groupon for 2 dinners & 2 beers. I was pleasantly surprised to find threre were no restrictions on the coupon. I got to have what I wanted. The place is fairly small and has a bar atmosphere with only a handful of tables. It took about 5 minutes for a server to come to the table but he was very friendly and welcoming. The menu was not huge but some very appetizing items listed. We chose fish & chips ($9) and the Black & Bleu burger ($11). It took about 25 minutes for the food to arrive but it was all fantastic. Very fresh, hot and great tasting. Yum! I would definitely recommend this place because of the food, great beers and great prices. read more

I've been here a handful of times, primarily to hear some live music. The place looks very small from the street, but it holds a nice amount of patrons. Need drinks or food? Order everything from the bar. Pick up your drinks, then find a spot to wait for your food. Been pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Wine choices are very limited, but this doesn't look or feel like a wine establishment anyway. Get a beer with your food. Made a few more visits here. Very nice here every time. Went here after dinner last month for my Birthday, and I was pleased with the drinks and service! I had a few Black & Tans that were poured perfectly. The only drawback was the fact I was unable to hear myself speak and, therefore had to scream because the E Q's on their sound system were to high. It made conversation virtually impossible! I am a recent Valley transplant and have been trying to get the lay of the land lately so I decided to explore my local bars. I started off my Saturday night of drinking here. When I first arrived the place was bereft of patrons and the band was setting up. Clearly I was much too early in getting here but I got my first drink anyway. The highlight was having a nice chat with the waitress (wish I could remember your name) telling me the scoop on the place so take note: 1) Saturdays are hit-or-miss. Sometimes they will be great and other times (like tonight) they can be fairly quiet. 2) Fridays they do Irish live band and the regulars will dance so this may perhaps be the best night to come here. 3) Tuesdays are karaoke night and the place takes on an entirely different vibe from the rest of the week. This is probably a good night to break the monotony and switch it up with a crowd that is entirely enthused about singing shitty songs (or shittily singing great songs). Anyway, while I was here the atmosphere was really low key and that waitress was by far the best part of it (also the super cheap Jameson's $5). Paid $10 each to get in for St Patrick Day and their Guinness is rancid, completely bitter and was black when we got it despite watching them pour it. Cant believe we wasted $40 for beer and to get in. Will never go back and plan to tell everyone about this experience. read more

I've been here twice, both were dates. Both were karaoke nights. The first time I sat at the bar with my date and made small talk while watching people sing. Our bartender was a gentleman who was very attentive and charming. The crowd was youngish and pretty chill. People seemed friendly and I enjoyed the singing. No sloppy drunks that night. I went on a Sunday and it was a huge change. I'm giving this place three stars because the staff was rude, it took forever to get a drink and even got a dirty look or two from the waitress ....my guess is she was annoyed I wasn't a regular. Anyway the crowd was over 40 and extremely drunk and they were obviously folks who drink there too often. Here's what I saw. Two people spill other peoples drinks and just shrug, one man knocked over a barstool and one woman completely fell off her chair... also older women dancing and jiggling their breasts and almost taking off their tops. If you're into that this bar is for you. In the bathroom one very inebriated woman almost wouldn't let me leave. Good people watching. Lots of flirty older super drunk folks. I guess you could pick someone up here but.... well, the odds are good but the goods are odd. I'll probably go back because it's down the street. However I'll try to avoid Sunday nights. *EDIT I keep giving this place a chance because it's so close but it's very hit or miss. read more

This was my first time going to Ireland's 32. Went for open mike night. Really enjoyed it! I was really impressed with the food! I got the club sandwich and my friend got the BLTA. Almost the best sandwich I've ever had which is surprising for a bar! Really friendly service and the beer on tap was cold. The level of the music for the open mike was at a good level. You could still hear what people were saying. Nice little dance floor for the ladies to get down to the country music. I'll definitely come back. And nice that there wasn't a cover for the open mike. I like Irish people. The ones I've met have been literate, funny, soulful, complicated, and self-effacing (in my opinion a very endearing quality, especially in a man). They also have killer accents. They can say "pass the ketchup" and it sounds like music to me. So,..I loved Ireland's 32. Picture this: you arrive in blinding Valley daylight to a dark, packed pub...at 5:30 pm. Conversation, which was at a roar, stops for a microsecond as the regulars check you out. Then it resumes. First thing that strikes me: Toto, we're not in West Hollywood anymore. This is where the normal, fun, interesting-not-plastic people go! And they say hi! And they smile! And there's a kickass country western band (29 Mules) having a grand old time on stage. Best of all, it's Tom McCarthy's birthday and everybody gets to share the food. Who is Tom McCarthy? I'd never set eyes on him before, but hey, he was turning 50 and boy did he have a lot of friends, a motley assortment of ages, races, genders, etc. We were there for a friend's going away party (Erin! we're gonna miss you!) but were included in the Tom McCarthy festivities as if we were old friends. I got to revel in those beautiful accents, talk about Dublin and James Joyce, and drink shots of Scotch with some very cute men. Erin Go Bragh! One person's 'dive' can be another person's, well, 'dive' I guess in this case, but I truly enjoy some dives and this one is among my very favorites. When you walk in you'll generally notice a crowd ranging from 21-80, most of them enjoying a Guiness poured by one of the many Irish-born bartenders working there. Not being a Sunset Strip kind of guy, this is the kind of place I can frequent and not run into many of those "So what do you do?" people who are looking for a job or to hook up. Go to this pub to drink and hang out (and put England down.) And tell Donal or Alan that Keith says "hey". When you leave, take advantage of the Carl's Jr drive-thru right across the street, but cross your fingers that 'Vinny N' isn't the cashier on duty. read more
